2. I just don't see how you guys are optimistic following this game.  None of this means shit if Card is our starting QB for the next month.  We will probably beat UTSA if Card starts, but there's no way we beat Tech in Lubbock with Card, or any other Big 12 game (see Kansas last year).  This is just another wasted season of being "close".  Yes, I've been drinking since 7:30 but I'm fucking tired of being "close" or "if the officials would have called _______ we would have won".  Fuck that.  How about we win a fucking game we're not expected to win?

This place is ludicrous. Last year when the kid shit himself over a barely above mediocre Arkansas team you treated him better than now when he showed some balls and gutted through an injured ankle to fight against the number 1 team in the country.

Massive respect for Card. He's nowhere near Ewers' level but he stepped up when his team needed this time and they had a lead with a minute and a half left. He gave everything he had out there today.

    Wut?

He was absolutely roasted after the piggy game.  Were you thinking of orangebloods or something?

  4. Who cares?  None of this shit matters.  We're a cursed program.  The best roster we've had in a decade and QE we'll be out for most of the season.  We'll go 6-6 at best, rinse and repeat.  Fuck this.

  5. We all know Gameday sucks, but so does Miller Lite, but that hasn't stopped me from drinking 12 of them out of wax cups at 8am at the Fair Grounds.  When it comes to game day routines, we don't question the quality of it's parts, we just embrace them for what they are.

$50 entry, winner take all.  new rule this year that a tie does not count as a win - still can't believe it came down to that last year.

The Turks and the Greeks been at each other since Manzikert. Ain’t nothing new under the sun my friend.

If we ever flew from Greece to Turkey, we would literally have to falsify our flight plan and file from a different origin airfield because the Turks would not let us in their airspace if they saw we took off from a Greek airfield.

  8. My wife and I will be going to a concert in a couple months at Mercedes Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.  What areas should I be looking at to book our hotel?  Last time I stayed in Atlanta was 10 years ago and I've heard some of the areas have changed a bit since.  I don't want to stay downtown near the stadium.  We will have a car so I'm not afraid of a drive.  I just want a nice area with cool bars and restaurants within walking distance.  Something like a Dallas Uptown/Knox-Henderson/Lower Greenville type vibe where I won't get shot.

  9. I'm not a financial nor real estate expert, but I just don't see this as a "bubble".  This seems nothing like 2008 to me.  The bubble burst in 2008 was caused by shitty sub-prime loans going to people who could not afford them.  Once inflation and unemployment set in, people simply couldn't afford to pay their mortgage.  Today, those sub-prime loans are a thing of the past.  I don't have any stats in front of me and this is just a complete shot in the dark, but I'd wager that close to 50% of current home owners are sitting below 4% due to a recent purchase or refi.  If rates keep going up, sure real estate prices will come down, but those buyers will be staring a 6/7/8% rate square in the face so it'll all come out in the wash.  The only ones who benefit are the cash buyers.  Either way, I just don't see this as any sort of "bubble" that's going to burst.  It's going to be a steady kick in the nuts that gets less intense as time goes on.
