    Thanks guys.

Basically a big FU to aggy. Got it. No wonder chin pubes hates his ass. Love it.

Well, it may also have to do his name and our last game with them, too. Carrington's Byndom's 58 yd Pick 6 may get lost in the shuffle of the Hero Derp run and Justin's clutch FG, and this dumbass may get them confused

1984 was an epic, epic collapse. There aren't many programs that can divide their seasons into two halves so discrete from one another. Half of our season was going 6-0-1, with the wins you mentioned over Auburn in Austin, Penn State @ East Rutherford, tying OU, and beating Arkansas and SMU. Other than the offense sputtering badly in wins 5 and 6, there was no logical reason to anticipate the "other half" of the season, a 1-4-1 finish including a 25-pt loss to A&M in Austin and then the epic lay-down/payback by the players to Akers in the Freedom Bowl.

From the point at which we were 6-0-1-- first week of November, 1984-- we went 14-14-1 the rest of Akers' tenure, then 16-18 in McWilliams' first three years. And it's not like it got a lot better quickly-- 1990 was 10-2, and then over the next three years we were 16-16-1. So for those of you too young to have lived it, after we beat Tech on 11/3/84 and moved to #3 in the polls, we proceeded to go 56-50-2. I could count up the number of weeks we were ranked over those nine plus seasons, but no way man. Too sadmake.

Could you (or anyone) explain the basis of this bolded part? I have never heard this before, and I have some familiarity with the 1984 team. Actually, a lot. I agree about the two halves of the season characterization.

Your list is missing the best bbq spot in Austin...LeRoy and Lewis.

What Evan LeRoy is doing with bbq is absolutely mind-blowing

Last time I attended the Austin vs Houston BBQ Throwdown, I knew which which vendors I was most excited to try. But by the time i was leaving I had some business cards of places I hadn't heard of but blew me away, and LeRoy and Lewis was one of those cards. I think they were my favorite of the day.

I eat breakfast tacos a couple of mornings a week. I eat tacos for lunch and supper some days as well. The main difference is eggs which in turn makes it a breakfast taco otherwise I’m just eating a taco at breakfast.

Exactly right! There's nothing wrong with eating a bean and cheese taco at breakfast. And if you're a Surly man who tells his family it's a breakfast taco, I have no issue with that. However, to touch on the point I believe the OP is making, don't advertise it as a breakfast taco if it ain't got no fucking eggs! (I'm really referring to some form of restaurant or food truck here -- and if you have a quick description of all menu items with all relevant ingredients, I ain't gonna get stabby on you if you call it a breakfast taco and describe it clearly without eggs). And shit I wish I was close to Valentina's around breakfast time...

My brother got me a gift of Flaviar for Christmas, but when I went to sign up, they said they don't ship to Texas.

Furk. I didn't see this post and just tried to sign up based on a friend's recommendation. I had the same problem. F our liquor laws in this state. Guess I'll ask my friend in TN or my boss in FL.

Put it on the wall aggy

What a dipshit the author (Brad Shepard) is. He's a Vol so he's party to the contract of inflating the stature of the sec even when he acknowledges the BDF got the better of them (and an ACC team annihilated their top dog).

You expected something other than the same lame puns, endless and super hilarious jokes about Waddle/Bru/Walker Little and general all around middle school jerkoffery that happens here on a daily basis?

    OK Cool, Hook Em!

(Pro tip - Saying that is funny because Tom Herman said that to Zach Smith! Go ahead and use it as much as possible so that it never stops being hilarious)

I especially liked it went TxDOT put it on the Electronic Highway Signs!

One of the things I like about this team and program is the OL always seem to be running downfield to clean up or push the pile.

I've waited far too long for that kind of attitude and effort.

I just said the same exact thing to my cousin. Feels awesome.

He is still running like a freshman.   Contrast him with watson.  North and south full speed.  Get what you can.   Ingram still looking to break every play.

It does seem like the case. I can't remember a single performance by Watson as a Horn more impressive than what he's done so far tonight.

OMG, this is so under appreciated in this thread. Maybe this quote will help:

Otter : The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with our female party guests - we did. [ winks at Dean Wormer ] But you can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals.

It's December 1st, I watched Texas football and cared.  Much improved season. Hook'em

Totally agree, but I must mention the 2015 game against Baylor in December was seriously fun for me to watch and care. And we won, which is nice.
