Ravens Harbaugh seems cooler than Michigan Harbaugh

John was lucky to get to coaching in the pros quicker and stay there.  Jim's spent too much time in league where Urban Meyer's bullshit works for the most part.

Joe Mixon has never made me say "wow!" (at least not on a football field) but apparently he's solid enough to still be RB1 all these years.

We'll see about next year.  Didn't really see much drop off in production with Perine in the lead role when Mixon missed a few games with a concussion, and Perine seems to be better at picking up the rush.

if Tampa beats Dallas, do we get Giants - Niners and Tampa - Eagles?

    No.  Giants are the 6-seed.

Dallas - Tampa winner is going against the Niners.

Great. Cowboys locked into Niners now. If Dak can actually go a few games without throwing picks, Boys can beat TB and Philly. No shot against Niners.

Given the recent playoff history, I'll gladly take not shitting the bed against TB and then roll the dice against the Niners knowing the odds aren't good.

  5. Miami might as well forfeit next week if they don't bring back Tua to risk another concussion.  The rest of their qbs can't do shit on offense even with Hill and Waddle at WR.

So what are the chances McCarthy doesn't hold up his end of these bargains he made?  Is there anything the HFC could do if he decides to change his mind on some committee nominees?

Some, or all of the bargains?  Didn't he agree that any member of the house can call for a motion to vacate the speaker's chair?  Very little effort needed to make his life miserable if he doesn't follow through on everything like committee nominees.

    Goodbye, NFL.

Genuinely curious, why would this be the breaking point?  Pretty clear it's a freak occurrence.  On the other hand, we've had plenty of proof for years that former football players (not just those who make it to the NFL) run plenty of risks for severe brain damage and other health issues...no one cares aside from changing some rules, supposedly hiring more independent doctors that the coaches listen to, and getting better helmets.

I thought, especially in this rivalry, that was a terrible call.

Kenny is Joe Cool. That was a great drive. We saw him play really well at Pitt and now the young guys are making plays. That was also the best game I have seen from Harris in his two seasons with the Steelers.

Offensive Line has made serious improvements as the season has progressed. Of course, Kenny has helped a great deal with that. You could see the attitude of the offense change when they made the switch from Mitch to Kenny.

2-6 start. This has been a nice turn of events.

Pittsburgh was running Harris into the ground last year and earlier this year.  Hopefully they keep Warren or someone else getting 8-10+ touches a game to help keep Harris healthy/give him a breather.

It's taken Dallas way too long to figure that out with Pollard/Elliott.

Pete and Wilson had a great thing going. WTF happened?

Pete and the Seahawks brass found someone dumb enough to pay a premium for a clearly diminished Wilson?  They had maybe 1-2 years left of one-and-done in the playoffs, then Wilson's contract would be up or they'd be stuck waiting until the cap hit was bearable, which is what Denver is set to do now.

Hackett has made multiple terrible game decisions which have been widely ridiculed by both the press and the fans. He was in way over his head and deserved to be fired.

    No one argued otherwise.

The observation/argument is that it's bullshit that the GM is keeping his job at this point.  He decided to both hire Hackett and trade for Wilson.  He should absolutely be gone as well, and Wilson gets to hang around and be a punching bag while he counts his money.

You've been to France and you don't want to root against them?  France is beautiful and has some of the best food and art in the world, but the people are assholes.

OSU didn’t win the right to play in their own conference title game so they should win the right to play for the national title, without playing a game? They sat out and risked nothing but get to benefit by not playing an extra game? Just no.

2016 tOSU says hi.  Precedent has been set for years.  Doesn't mean it will happen this year, although it seems pretty damn likely.

Serious question: why should Bama make it over TCU or Clemson or Tennessee - other than the name?

Not necessarily reasons they should, but reasons the committee could use:

Clemson - Losing at home to South Carolina and getting crushed on the road by Notre Dame is worse than 2 overtime loses on the road to LSU and Tennessee.  Maybe they let Clemson jump Bama if Dabo swears a blood oath not to send DJ back out there as qb.

Tennessee - Barely won the H2H at home with their Heisman candidate qb.  Said qb is done for the season with a torn ACL.  They are not remotely the same team without him, beating Vandy doesn't mean much.

TCU - Are we really going to pretend brand/ability to pull in a national audience is in the same ballpark here?  That's not supposed to matter, but if you want to keep believing that it doesn't, go right ahead.

Why/How is this Bullshit OK for others and TCU to run up the score, but if Texas were to run up the score in a similar MNC chase, it's "unsportsmanlike/wrong/mean/bad/Texas-shouldn't-benefit-from-running-up-the-score-in-the-CFPstandings"?

Because everyone knows the CFP will look for any excuse to leave an undefeated TCU out in favor of a 1 or 2 loss blueblood/semi-blueblood like USC, LSU, tOSU this year?
