Just turned this on.
Dumb question amnesty: Is there not a backup QB? I’ve only watched like 20 minutes of the NFL this year.49ers backup for this game was their 4th string....and he got injured as well.

Kelsey vs. Kelsey still possible
Need a simulcast if that happens. One channel just shows the damn game, the other is nonstop split screen between camera on the parents/family in the stands and the field. Broadcasters are taken out back and shot if they mention the parents once on the channel dedicated to just showing the game.

I know Hurts is tough as hell, but getting him hurt on a running play would be dumb.
I think the word you're looking there is "hilarious."
Eagles continuing to run Hurts at this stage is insanity. Just hand off of to one of the rbs and call it a day.

49ers special teams doesn't want to feel left out of the dumbassery.
-
Dak would at least catch the snap before he threw an INT or pick-6.

What? He was trying to keep him up and he kind of did.
Falling to the ground with his arms wrapped around CMC? His body weight/momentum was definitely not helping CMC stay upright.

Fucking Jennings almost tackled CMC. Dumbass is lucky CMC kept the legs moving when his own teammate tried to drag him down until he realized what the fuck he was doing.

I didn't know 10 item or less lines still existed. All of my local grocery stores replaced them with self checkout. I went to a Walmart Neighborhood Market recently for the first time in probably 5 years and they didn't have a single regular checkout, just a huge section of 10 self check-outs. Bunch of effing nonsense. Oh, sorry, I mean "nobody waNTS TO WOrk aNYmORe."
I would much, much rather have zero regular checkout lines than only 1 self-checkout line, or God forbid, no self-checkout line. Waiting for Walmart/grocery store checkout workers slowly scan and bag stuff is more painful that watching Zeke try to outrun a defender at this point.

Agree. Maybe our QB having a mediocre security blanket is part of the problem with this offense.
If Schultz is asking for too much money that's one thing, but at this point it would seem like having a security blanket for to Dak is a good thing, not something that holds the offense back. Do you really want Dak improvising more difficult throws/reads based on his performance this year?

I’m thinking this team has reached their pinnacle with this QB, this OC, and this wildly overpaid RB. Dad, Dak, Dak………
If that's the case, I'll enjoy the next few years before it all goes to shit and we trot out the new versions of Quincy Carter, Anthony Wright, Ryan Leaf, Clint Stoerner, Chad Hutchinson, Drew Henson, and the corpses of Vinny Testaverde and Drew Bledsoe over the course of 5-7 years.

Never got the zeke extension. Easy to say in hindsight. Also why let cooper leave?
The Zeke thing was incredibly easy to predict. Don't need hindsight or to be a NFL insider to know what was going to happen.

McCarthy and his coordinators are the reason we went 12-5 in back to back years. This team has a QB and WR issue. It idiotically decided to pay Dak and let Cooper walk.
I'm actually okay with the decision to pay Dak simply based on how poorly the NFL and Jerry Jones is in particular at drafting QBs. Yes, Dak is basically Kirk Cousins at this point, but I have zero confidence in the Jones clan identifying, drafting, and coaching up another qb to league average level in the next 5-10 years, if not longer.

Dallas fans being too hard on their team. That game was stressful as fuck. Dak and Lamb are gamers and that front 7 is a pain in the ass. Get a lockdown corner and a safety and they are in the Super Bowl.
An actual head coach would be nice among other things.

Couldn't even get one lateral in. Perfect ending.

Hahaha. Bye Schultz.
-
Bad Dak tried to give them the game right there.
-
Great response by the defense.
-
Right down the middle. Maybe it's just XPs, FGs are fine.
-
Holy fuck Zeke. Tried his best to give the 49ers another pick.
-
No chance of picking up the 1st even if Zeke catches it.
-
If Dak's willing to be a legit threat to take off and run regularly, this 2nd half might not be horrible.

It will be, even with Purdy.
Very likely. But at this point at least it's not a foregone conclusion with the defense playing pretty well.
-
If you told me before the game Dallas would be down 9-6 at the half with Dak throwing 2 really dumb pics, Maher still with the yips, and losing Pollard...it could have been alot worse.
-
Lulz, Shanahan gives no fucks about getting more points before the half. No Pollard for the 2nd half, Maher still with the yips, and bad Dak means he has nothing to worry about.
