this is pretty good. a relaxed side of Max that we never see.

@PittsburghTiger Thanks for posting this!  Great watch.  I have come around a bit on Max.  He let it be seen that he is still mortal after his last win on the podium.

  2. I am not a Cowboys fan.  More like a 'who ever is playing the Cowboys' fan.   Not much fun in that these days though. However, if there is one franchise that I absolutely do not want to ever have success, it is the Eagles.  Their fanbase is the anal sphincter that makes up the body of NFL fandom.  That combined with Einstein spitting on Dak, had me openly cheering for the Cowboys.  That had to have felt like the Texas game for a lot of y'all.  What if this and what if that....  That is not said to rub salt in the wounds given my first few sentences.  Fucking Oklahoma Choker.

  3. Hadjr getting on the podium was cool. He has been impressive since his embarrassing first race. Stroll finishing in the points after crashing in P3 and Q1 is just wrong. Oh Ferrari. I wonder if Charles is still sitting in the dunes.

Worked for that group for a while.  Dude was pretty bad ass.  Would get off the Harley and step into the radiology facility in his gear, do his rounds, and head on out without even getting out of his chaps.

There was a big annual cookout where Urology Specialists hosted a tent at annually, and seeing him glad handing people was the best.  Shakes hands, gives out a pen, "If you can't tinkle, call Dr. Winkle".  He may or may not have had a few tequilas in him at that point.

    That is him for sure.

  5. Not trivial but it happens so damn much it has become so... speeding in neighborhoods.  I walk a lot in mine.  1 car out every 10 is probably driving the posted speed limit.  That is probably on the conservative side too.  There is never a reason to be driving 10-20 miles over the speed limit in a residential area.

Urologist Dr. 'Dick Chopp" of Round Rock says "what about me?"

Not as cool as Dick Chopp but ... Urologist - Chip Winkle in Spring\The Woodlands might want a word too.

i had a Texas writing component class in 96 or so and for my final paper i focused on Texas' violent image...historical stuff (revolution/war, rangers v. Comanche, servant girl murders, Kennedy assassination, etc.) but then brought it very current with Kenneth McDuff, Branch Davidians, and these murders. Dan Rather had done a 48 Hours episode dedicated to the murders, i actually wrote to CBS studios and got a VHS copy of the episode, i believe it cost me $16. what a world. 😕

Bolded + Lake Waco Murders, Twin Peaks shoot out, Chip and Joana Gaines... my hometown...

You know, you could probably do a doc on the 1982 Lake Waco murders, too, that is just as infuriating. They convicted three or four guys, but I’m not convinced they ever solved them.

I was a kid in Waco when this happened.  I have barely kept up with any of this case beyond the initial convictions.  It is pretty messed up what has happened since then including the execution of David Spence if he was indeed innocent.  I read 'Careless Whispers' when I was staying high.  It was unnerving reading that and knowing some people named in the book as well as where the murders took place and where the bodies were found and all other locations mentioned.

I remember the original implementation from which this baby toy sprang.  Those things gave nunchucks a good run for the money on self inflicted body injuries.

  11. First cut I ever heard from Sabbath was 'Electric Funeral'.  It blew my little 'raised on top-40'*** mind.  The music and the vocals were like nothing I had ever heard.  I will never forget that moment.  I was listening to Paranoid this past weekend and wondering when Ozzy's time was coming.  RIP.

    *** top-40 in the 70s wasn't too bad though.

Wife's necklaces and bracelets get tangled up on occasion.  Talking about 10-12 items at least.  I will happily spend hours untangling that ball of mess.

  13. That was an entertaining race.  I got a little peeved watching Lando celebrate like he had won it all on his own but I am talking about a sport where you see pats on the back for finishing 10th.  Wanted Hamilton to get the podium but it was much better seeing Hulk get up there instead.  19th to 3rd... I hope DTS plays this one up for him.  Oscar will make a good heir apparent to Max... I don't expect him(OP) to relinquish the DC lead.
