  1. Shamefully, never owned any of their stuff.  Always dug them though.

Listening to IHeart Radio tuned to The Cars.  Kinda like "listening" to MTV back when they were cool.

  2. Working in Austin...hopped in the car to drive to work and was listening to the Zone.  They were talking about the North tower getting struck by an airplane.  At first, everyone was like well, it was just a bad accident, then they announced that the south tower had been hit as well.  Right then and there, you knew this was deliberate.

A friend of mine was from New Jersey.  By the time we had gotten to work that day, the planes had already crashed into the buildings.  When I caught up with him he was visibly shaken up.  His family had not heard from his brother.  He was working in the South tower when the first plane struck.

I remember hanging out a work for a few hours and then headed back home.  Stopped by the church and prayed.  Picked my daughters up from school and work.  Went home and just watched the events unfold repeatedly on CNN.  I remember going for a walk that night as kind of a "Ain't scared" gesture.

Next day or the day after... talked to my Jersey buddy and found out his brother was OK.  After the north tower was hit, they were evacuated from the south tower.  They made it to a rally point hung out for a bit and then the powers that be decided to head back to the south tower.  They were making their way back when the second plane hit.  I think his brother spend the next 24 hours just trying to get back home.

The following Monday, I started a new job in Houston.  I remember the anxiety I felt leaving my family behind and worrying about if we were attacked how would I try to get back home.

I’m rewatching Cheers right now, Coach just died and Woody has entered the picture. It’s probably my favorite series of all time. Brilliantly written. I never appreciated her as much as I should have, but Shelley Long killed it. And it’s great to once again enjoy the surprising emergence of Kelsey Grammer, who stole so many scenes, he became a star in his own right.

I just re-watched recently and you are correct.  Shelley Long really stood out the second time around.

That was not "cautions" or slow driving, that was an idiot that almost missed the exit and caused an accident being too stupid and selfish to just accept that you missed it and move on to the next exit.

Or a normal day heading North on Mopac around the 183 exit.

  5. 1. Snakes - I don't go into full panic mode if know they're venomous, but my blood pressure and heart rate go up a few ticks for sure.

    2. Wasps - Years ago, my little brother was 4 or 5 and got stung by a red wasp through his jeans.  I was only a few feet away from him and he was already to the point to where I had to carry him across the road to get him in the house.  We sped to the hospital and got him the care he needed. ***  This was before benadryl was OTC and of course we weren't aware that he was allergic to wasps so we had nothing on hand at the house.  Needless to say, he is always packing benadryl.

***Hospital wasn't going to treat him until my mom could prove she could pay for services.  At that time, she couldn't and they didn't give him an attention until a friend of our showed up to show proof that the bill would get handled.  Dude was a rodeo clown - in the Cowboy Hall of Fame.  You could hear him walking in the other side of the hospital cussing every one in sight.

    3.  Eels - I mean... wtf, man?

It was great but the sound mix was really weird, though.

Was that the season finale? Don’t know why I thought there was one more. Was it the series finale?

Yep on the Season Finale.  Looks like they have one more year for sure.

    Spoiler

Great ending.  Classic Mallory and Archer at the end.  Glad they ended all these "Dream Themes" or maybe he's just dreaming he is out of it...
