Finished Full Swing on Netflix. Enjoyed it except for the last 2 episodes which focused on the Ryder Cup. My top takeaways are that Tom Kim is now one of my favorites and Wyndham Clark is extremely boring.

So why doesn’t the Alpha Tauri / RB car have the same performance as the Red Bull car ?

Pretty good leaderboard. 11 players tied for or within 1 of the lead. All fairly highly ranked players.

Lol wut. Max is a good qualifier, but it’s the car. Checo is historically a bad qualifier and Max only beat him by 3 tenths. There was nothing special about that quali from Max.
That’s a pretty big margin for a qualifying lap. Extrapolate that over the course of tomorrow’s race and he wins by 15 seconds.

Sainz out for this weekend with appendicitis. Oliver Bearman gets the seat.

Didn't belong in the bbq thread, but figured it could go here. Hancock HEB is getting redone into an HEB Plus and I found out they are going to have BBQ. I have a feeling I will be partaking regularly.
Don’t get your hopes up. The HEB BBQ that I’ve tried wasn’t very good.

And I can spend $15 on plants that produce peppers all the way through november and sell 10 pint jars to friends for $3-5/ plus have about 5 jars for myself. Plus they taste better than those ginormous bell pepper-y jalapenos I get at the store.
But how much do you have to pay them to be your friend?

Gotta have some bite to them. I want to slap myself for not pickling my own before last holiday season. Easiest shit ever.
You can buy a sackful of fresh jalapeños at any grocery store for a couple of bucks.

The best thing about this season was Maria Menounos hosting the reunion. At 45, she can still bring it

Oh man not me. I love poring through a weighty tome, turning page after page, watching the remainder dwindle through time and dreading the moment I turn that final page and end the story. Tablets can never duplicate that feeling.
I hear you. But for me, the many conveniences of reading on a Kindle outweigh that feeling. Those include instant (and often free) access, perfect lighting, built-in dictionaries, indexes of characters, portability, bookmarks and highlighting. But to each his own. Whatever encourages you to read more is the correct medium.

$32 on Amazon. But, because of the heft, Shogun is a book made for Kindle.

If you mean give all of the minutes to the youngsters, then fine. But the Rockets have none of their own picks this year.
