It’s really interesting how the WNBA just needed a generic white girl who is really good with media (and is good at ball) to shine a light on women’s basketball for people to get interested.

It’s crazy to think this wouldn’t have happened without NIL, not just the financial piece, but her personal brand was able to be developed and is honestly dwarfing the entire WNBA brand by itself. It wouldn’t surprise me if her next 5 years of earning exceed that of the entire league value for last season without her.

The college game has been growing for awhile. Women's college hoops was the 3rd biggest NCAA sport before CC even showed up. She's just kind of pushed things over the top with a combination of - like you said - being a hometown American girl that's easy to root for and also being a bad ass bitch on the court.

She reminds me of Bird more than any male player since Bird has - and I think people love her for the same reason they loved Larry. She's an aw-shucks white girl from flyover America going out there and whipping everyone's ass.

Also - I've already said it in this thread - but they play some good-ass ball in the WNBA. She's going to do for the WNBA what Bird and Magic did for the NBA - assuming she pans out.

Cameron Brink sexy-ass also gonna help move the needle.

  2. Yeah no I'm sure she could play in the NBA.

Clark got off to a quick start in the sold-out game in College Park Center, drilling her first three-point attempt deep for her first bucket as a professional. The NCAA Division I’s all-time leading scorer wasn’t finished there, scoring a 28-foot three pointer shortly after as part of her three first-quarters buckets from deep.

Clark led all scorers at the end of the first half with 16 points, going 5 of 9 from the field and 4-for-8 from beyond the arc, along with two rebounds and an assist.

However, she struggled in the second half, dealing with foul trouble that kept her off the floor for a good portion of the third quarter. After returning with under six minutes left in the fourth, she failed to get back into rhythm, making one of her six attempts from the field, and finishing with a game-high five turnovers.

I'll give her credit - she has people interested in WNBA preseason.

I completely agree especially given how many people are moving there.

    They're finally into it lol.

This ORL team is fun. Suggs has some serious BDR.

  5. This crowd is embarassing. Empty seats all over - everyone sitting down.

I mean I get that Orlando has zero culture or history but c'mon...

    Copy/pasted for truth.

I'm an Iranian woman and have lived under the Islamic Republic for 20,5 years. I moved to Germany because I thought the values I considered important would be respected in "free" Western countries.  People cannot even imagine how triggering it is for us to see the unholy unity of islamists and radical leftists. This is the very phenomena that changed the history of my country for the worse. I am beyond disgusted and disturbed. To the women standing behind literal terrorists and islamists saying prayers at universities: You don't even know what you're getting yourself into. None of you have read the "Al Nisa" surah, where it is clearly stated that men literally own you and have the right to hit you if you refuse to have sex with them: "Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all)." What you are standing up for today is anything but being "woke" and progressive. You should have the right to protest and stand up for causes that are important to you. But fighting Jewish students, attacking them, not understanding the fact that the hostages have to be brought back home and no peace can exist before that happens is outright wrong. People who truly advocate about and fight for human rights are NOT selective with the causes they care about. Caring about human rights is one thing, standing up behind Islamists, waving Hezbollah and Hamas flags and saying slogans that are against Jews and outright radical are not it.

Tobias Harris tonight in 29 minutes, 0 points on 2 shots, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.  Never let the Sixers forget than they chose to keep him and Ben Simmons over Jimmy Butler.

And he made $39 million this season.
