Someone do the math for Mizzou’s overall conference run differential, you’ll get free rep.

    I don’t think that’s what free means.

Seeing stuff like this go around social media is a reminder of another fuckup by Quinn's agent/team.

He was always going pro, but nobody from Quinn's team shot down all these NIL offer rumors. Burton was adamant that he was declaring for the draft, but nothing definitive was said by Ewers until very late. I'd guess his agent probably thought any publicity is good publicity, but it was a completely unnecessary distraction. So now he'll have to deal with this narrative for a long time. So dumb.

You make a good point, but anyone who was dumb enough to believe he was being offered $8 million should be ignored anyway, so fuck 'em.

    Hahahaha!

This is where we needed Quinn to channel a Major Applewhite attitude and say "Fuck the Toss Sweep, gonna fake the toss and go nekkid Right. Helm, go with me - if I pump, you block, otherwise you better fuckin' catch it..."

Second thought, that might be more Street than Applewhite.

Disagree. It should have gone something like this: "Fuckin Sark... Slot left, 25 dive on one. Slot left, 25 dive on one!"

  4. Has anyone heard from Burton lately? I don't follow any of the 9.95ers but I remember seeing a tweet from him 2-3 weeks ago saying that Quinn is 100% going to the NFL draft once the NIL-transfer deals started getting tossed around. I'm curious if he still feels that way or if he's changed his tune.

  5. I normally hate hypothetical conversations, but it’s the offseason so fuck it lets get it goin. Let’s say Sark does decide to give up play calling. Who do we think would be on the short list of candidates for that spot? Is there anyone out there that has crossed paths with Sark at some point that would be a homerun hire?

The key play I remember was Reggie sitting on the bench on 4th down when we stopped Lendale White to get the ball back and win the championship.  VY is the best college football player I’ve ever seen.  It still baffles me that Bush was even in the running for the Heisman.

That play was glorious. Man, who’s the dipshit that thought it was a good idea to leave Reggie on the sideline for that play? What an idiot!

Changing kickers is going to be a big deal. Bert has sucked and legit cost us the ASU game from going to OT by missing a very easily makeable centered by quinn for final TO kick.

Coincidentally, the centering of the ball was the difference between Bert making the kick and doinking it off the left upright. But thankfully it didn’t cost us the game, so we don’t have to spend the whole offseason questioning that one play call to center the ball.

If next year’s c and lg will be better, why are they presumably on the sidelines right now?

Same reason we all think Arch will be better than Quinn next year even though he’s not starting over Quinn this year. The current starters have the benefit of experience and time in the program. The guys not starting now will improve after a full offseason of continuing to learn the offense while getting starter reps.

We have 19-20 INT'S which more than our opponents have TD's against us, and we have 39 sacks.

But sure, the #1 defense will have problems with [checks notes] Clemson.

Clemson isn't Colorado State, but their defense is worse than ou, Michigan, Kentucky, A&M, Georgia (no shit), and tbh, I'm not looking it up, but maybe even Miss St, etc.

Clemson is extremely flawed on both sides of the ball. Their offensive line is....not good. Their RB is pretty good, but their backup is bad. Their best WR Antonio Williams is ok. His production has come against all of the bottom half of the conference. Wesco has been really solid for a frosh. He's the one we need to cover.

Edit: wanted to add Klubnik stats are very flawed. Against better competition he played against (USCe) he threw for 290-0-1. Overall he has 3303/33/5 (weird numbers, but whatever. He just loooooove the number 33). Maybe we'll get 33 INT'S and 33 sacks against him to keep it going.

    Our defense is lightyears better.

If it’s 3 wouldn’t the SEC Championship Game be a good time to start using Arch?

No, because we didn’t have to win that game. Plus, my option 3 literally said “saving it for the playoffs.”

  11. The lack of Arch usage boils down to 3 possibilities:

    1) Arch is not capable of giving our offense a spark.

    2) Arch is capable of providing a spark, but Sark is too stupid to use him more.

    3) Arch is capable, and Sark has been saving it for the playoffs.

I don’t think anyone on this board is brain-dead enough to think it’s 1, so it comes down to 2 or 3. I know there are people on here that think it’s 2, but I for one think (and hope) it’s 3. Sark has taken our program from being a complete joke to back-to-back playoff appearances in the span of 4 years, he gets paid more money than most of us will ever see to make smart decisions, AND he’s still widely respected by non-biased analysts as one of the best offensive minds in college football. I think it’s reasonable to have a little faith and count on us using Arch in a much larger capacity moving forward.

I think something being overlooked is how important this 2-week break is for Texas. IMO, we are the team that will benefit most from this.

Ewers has been at 75%, two of our top WRs have not been anywhere close to healthy, and Banks has been out at LT. Our offense has been a mash unit for a few weeks.

Getting those guys back to 100% is significant.

Not to mention some much-needed rest for Wisner. 60 carries over the last 2 weeks had at least a little (if not a lot) to do with his ineffectiveness last night.

  13. A lot is being made about us being at a disadvantage with this being first night game in front of a hostile crowd, but I haven’t seen anyone point out the fact that aggie has a freshman QB starting his first game ever in this type of high pressure situation. The 105k rabid fans will worship him if they win, but they’ll just as enthusiastically want to lynch him if they lose. That’s a ton of pressure.

It was. Maybe him being shocked at the coverage and knowing a fade route wasn’t going to work had something to do with it. Or he just half assed the last play of the game and a chance to play in the national title game.

I've always thought the way he ran the route looked like he thought there was 0 chance the ball was going to be thrown his way.

I was driving down 35 listening to the press conference.

Coach Sark's reply, "No idea.", when he was asked if Saturday's game would be Quinn's last game at DKR, immediately about 27 cars swerved, suddenly stopped and/or pulled off to either shoulder.

    Coincidence?

It was a stupid question anyway, considering there's a chance this isn't anyone's last game at DKR.
