The first clip is from same game and of a defender recognizing that Ewers is getting rid of the ball and pulling up. He is about 0.5 yards away when the ball is released and he pulls out of the hit.
The second pic is of the hit that took Eyers out at the second the ball leaves his hand. Defender is 1.5-2 yards from Mullet when the ball is released.
He absolutely had time to pull out of a full weight power drive on Ewers but chose not to.
Jesus, what a fucking throw in that first clip. I hadn't seen it from that angle yet.

When is the next RV road trip and how do I sign up? Is the answer Tuscaloosa ‘23?
I will 100% be in Tuscaloosa next year. I live in Nashville, so it's an easy drive for me. My wife went to Bama, so I've been to Tuscaloosa with her for several games over the past 11 years that we've been together, and as much as I hate to admit it their gameday atmosphere is awesome. We need to get as much burnt orange on that campus as possible next year. It will be a blast (especially since Ewers is gonna throw for 500+ to get back at them for this year).

I’d rather see RoJo run the wildcat all game than Charles Wright
I doubt we're even considering having Wright run the wildcat, so you don't have to worry.

if the coaches felt anywhere close to this way, Wright would have gotten at least 1 series/snap against Bama.
there is nothing out there that has been written that should make anyone think that Card basically = Wright.
You're probably right, but you also have to consider the fact that Ewers and Card got all the meaningful snaps in practice last week which probably prevented the coaches from wanting to risk anything by putting Wright in there once Card was hobbled. Had he gotten a full week of practice behind Card, they may have put him in. That's obviously just devil's advocate speculation at this point, but we will probably find out on Saturday.

I've spent the first part of my morning in the office studying Wright (watching HS highlights, reading articles, etc.), and fuck it... I'm on the Wright train. He looks like he might actually ball the fuck out once he gets his shot. I think he is more than capable of winning us these next 1-3 games, and I think he could potentially take over the QB2 spot. Am I crazy? Maybe, but I need something to feel good about today.

For you twits worrying about Traylor and UTSA.....they just gave up 38 to Army....a team that lost to coastal carolina.....Card will look like Ewers against that D.
I’d be right there with you on this if not for the fact that Card is also injured.

It looks like UConn's 2nd string place kicker might be better than ours.
Why do we care how our second string place kicker compares to another team's second string place kicker?

Selling shirts for one specific game that isn’t a bowl game or a championship of any kind seems a little aggy.
All SEC teams do it. We’ll be one of them soon, so we might as well just embrace it.

Last five years recruiting class rankings, Texas vs. Baylor
(2018) Texas 3rd Baylor 29th
(2019) Texas 3rd Baylor 36th
(2020) Texas 8th Baylor 49th
(2021) Texas 15th Baylor 41st
(2022) Texas 5th Baylor 37th
2021 Texas Longhorns, finish 5-7, unranked, did not go to a bowl game, lost to Kansas at home, quit playing after first half of OU game, lost 6 games in a row, shit themselves, quit on their coaches and families, made lifelong fans want to stop watching football, humiliated themselves and their school, unranked in final AP poll
2021 Baylor Bears, finish 12-2, beat OSU to win Big 12 Championship, beat Ole Miss to win Sugar Bowl, 5th in final AP poll
So much for class rankings
This team quit last year, simple as that. For anyone that ever played football in the backyard that is hard to wrap your head around. Why quit? If for nothing else your personal dignity, have a little pride in yourself for f**ks sake. It drove Coach Davis so crazy he almost had a psychotic breakdown, and at the time it seemed like a reasonable take on the situation. Whoever is injured, who is playing edge, who lines up at QB - all just noise. This team could win with either guy if they showed up to play. Until this issue is addressed nothing else matters. This loser mentality is so deeply entrenched at this point it will take someone truly special to pull them out of it. I like Sarkesian, he's a great OC, and maybe a great HC, but it will be some heavy lifting getting this group to play. This team deserves no beneefit of the doubt. Still pretty much the same crew that laid down for Kansas, entitled, underachieving losers until proven differenty.
You know, I was actually starting to look forward to this football season. And then I read this, and I can't argue against a single word of it. Now I'm sad again. Thanks a lot.

Yes, today is 1 of my 4 favorite days:
Christmas morning
First day of the CWS (when Texas is there)
First day of real March Madness (not the play-in games)
Morning of the Texas Football opener

You forgetting about Tennessee?
The good thing is we would play Tennessee in Game 1 with Sweet Pete on the mound. Hopefully we can send them down to the loser's bracket and watch them get bounced, or at least use up all their arms.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkFWIW: when I was a Sr. in high school, I took a recruiting trip to Texas (for swimming) and then I took one to Auburn the following week. The whole time I was at Auburn, all I could think about was how much I liked Texas. I was supposed to visit Michigan after Auburn, but I cancelled the Michigan trip because the Auburn trip convinced me I definitely wanted to go to Texas. Now, I'm not saying this is exactly what happened with Addison. But this is exactly what happened with Addison. Put him in the calculator.
