  1. He basically said PK wasn't a true head coach on his side of the ball and he had to hold PK's hand too much on the defensive side, which took his focus away from the offense.  All of that may be true, but no need to say that publicly.  cmon man.
Wow, I'm going to have to listen to the whole thing now. You're right, completely unnecessary.
  2. I just have no hope in Beck or Crystal even tho they have decent ST. I think aggy will find a way bc Miami is too dumb. Ohio state should just take the week off. Watch the tape. They will beat the shit out of whoever next week. That will be aggy I guess if I have to call it.
Same. If this game we're in Miami I'd like the Canes to come out on top, but I think the incessant crowd drone in collie station gives aggy just enough retard strength to lift that car.

  3. Classy response after being shitcanned and thrown under the bus.  He deserved better than to be implicitly badmouthed in the PC yesterday.  That's some bullshit.
I admit to not watching the entire presser, just clips of highlights from various sources. What did Sark say about PK specifically?
  4. Unless they negotiate a lower settlement, PK walks away with $1.9mill for 2026.
    PK will be ok
Not only will he be okay, he'll have another DC job at a high profile program before you know it. If not USC or Oregon, he will get other offers.

I feel Muschamp is what we need for the SEC, but PK is far from the worst DC we've had in my lifetime.

  5. There’s really no point in playing these non-playoff bowl games anymore. Neither team will be fielding anywhere near the same rosters that they did during the regular season.
Extra practices and gives some true Freshmen who didn't see the field this year a chance at some action.

    Oh, and dem swag bags
  6. Non-CFP bowl games are no longer "marquee" bowl games. Times have changed.

The sponsors, everyone involved at the venue and TV networks will disagree with you.

That said, I also think it's time for the old bowl system to go away.

I really don't know how some of the mid December bowls with no-name matchups avoid losing more than they make tbh, but the number of bowl games seems to continue growing so I guess there is some financial wizardry involved.
  7. In the 12-team playoff era, the bowl games are dead, not just for the fans, but to the players themselves who deem them worthy of sitting out to avoid injury ahead of NFL prospects.  Will I watch?  Yes.  Do I expect to be able to glean much from the result?  No.
I just look at as a replacement for the spring game, except the opponent isn't ourself.

Oh, and of course a much bigger deal for the players involved of course, not really a glorified scrimmage.
  8. Is there a running list of declarees, portal jumpers or those who want to get started selling insurance asap?

I didn't list eligibility since that seems to be unlimited these days.

  9. the majority of that is probably good attrition. The question will be how many guys Texas will lose that the staff wants to keep. There will be some, but you hope it is a small number
Jelani McDonald and Hero Kanu are the only two that jump out at me as guys we really need to keep for next season, maybe Jack Endries?

  10. I will NEVER look down on Wisner...yes we could have a more "elite" back there, and if they do find one great.
But Wisner behind a good OL will be just fucking fine in this offense. Just need that Blue type off back to really throw some shit at them IMO.

So sure, upgrade the position...but I won't be slandering him in the process.
Nobody has a right to slander Wisner. Iirc he was either the lowest rated RB commit in his class, or lowest non-special teams player overall.

Kid has played with a chip on his shoulder since day one, and has had some good days when healthy and the O-line decides to block someone.

  11. I'm curious about this. We have always assumed this to be the case, but then he didn't participate in senior day.
Interesting, could this be our first case of NIL making jumping the NFL at the first opportunity no longer a priority?

Not getting my hopes up, but I think he would have participated in senior day if he already decided to make the leap.
  12. Don't lose to a horrible Florida team, especially with two weeks to prepare.  Inexcusable.
Same Florida team that just curb stomped FSU? Yes, the same FSU team that beat Bama yet they are going to the playoffs.

Oh, and Bama's other loss? BlowU

I get your argument and agree our loss is inexcusable, but the fact remains that if we hadn't scheduled the real #1 team to start the season that Florida loss wouldn't matter at all.

I don't see any way the committee can justify putting us in the playoffs, but at the same time they can no longer maintain that teams won't be punished for scheduling tough OOC games and not winning them.

So because of that we get a toilet bowl while watching two teams we beat head to head go to the playoffs.
  13. relevant part of the dave wilson espn recap from last night -- sark postgame on the field:
"We went on the road to Ohio State in Week 1 and lost to them in a one-score game. We outgained them by nearly 200 yards, and no one else has been close to a one-score game against them. But I think more importantly, it's the message that what do we want to send to the head coaches and the athletic directors around the country? Do you want us not to schedule Ohio State? Because if we're a 10-2 team right now, this isn't a discussion. We're in the playoff. But we were willing to go up there and play that game."
"It would be a disservice to our sport".
    +++
when we are not included because room must be made for acc and g5 traffic cones, we have no one but ourselves to blame because ASSWATER
but we can do an even greater service to our sport
our seniors just walked off the field after defending the dkr (/mack)
they crushed the delusions of the vile vermin infestation that steals our money
at least half of our seniors will go to the combine and take a shot at the league
most of them with that goal will opt out of a game against arizona or washington
so let's do college football a REAL SERVICE
    TL/DR:
    DECLINE THE FUCKING BOWL GAME
we're one of the few that can get away with it without recriminations and it's high time to kill off this vestige of 20th century
this isn't amateur hour anymore - these student athletes are FISCAL ASSETS and are too valuable to risk in exhibition competition
    stir the shitstorm
Declining the bowl game would accomplish nothing but making the program look like whining pussies.

Even a shitty bowl game means extra practices for the young guys, and playing time for some who haven't seen the field much this year but will be in the two deep next season.

Hopefully Sark uses the bowl game as a fancy scrimmage. Get Caldwell and Lacy out there. Get Daniel Cruz and the backup OL they expect to stay some reps. Get the kid receivers and kid DBs some reps.
    Evaluation time.
Does Caldwell still have eligibility to come back?

In any case he won't be the future, this one will be for the young guys, (Including Arch) and yes a glorified scrimmage against another team who hopefully has just as many players opting out
