Silly me.  I thought that summary judgment motions dealt solely with legal rather than disputed factual issues.

And I used to think that disputed factual issues were dealt with in a court proceeding that was subject to rebuttal and cross examination.

    Who knew?

My best (worst) cross-examination was early in my career....when a witness had completely skewered my client's story, backed up with photographic proof.  After pondering what to do for what felt like an eternity, I fired off this piece of brilliance:

    Q: "So . . . are you calling my client a liar?"

    A: "Yes."

    [Looooooooooooong pause]

Judge: "Mr. Brisket, you about done here?"

    "Yes.  Yes I am."

So, the lesson here is that when you have nothing to offer on cross.....sometimes shutting the fuck up is your best line of questioning.

I guess we just don't know the art of the deal. Seriously though, this is more curious to me than his weight.

If the trial occurs after the election, the PAC doesn't have the use of the $200k for the campaign. It'll be sitting on Rice St. earning 0%.

If he uses Four Seasons Bail Bonds, the PAC will still have $180k available to spend prior to November 2024.

So, I have to ask.  If he's as wealthy as he brags about, why is he using a bail bondsman?

$180k today is more valuable to the Trump PAC than $200k after the trial (and likely after the election).
