I don't know what commitments have been made as far as re-purchasing stock grants from current employees but if xelmo is paying $20 or $25 per share, that's well above what it would be on the open market, and the price will never be higher than it is now.

Since the shares are no longer publically traded I bet Elmo is on the hook for the full amount.

There's not enough information to know exactly how their equity program works. The link above says the grants are based on a $54.20 share price ($44 billion valuation). The stock grants that were announced in March had a valuation of ~$20 billion. (https://www.wsj.com/articles/twitter-offers-new-equity-grants-to-staff-938ee7f8).

If the program functions like a typical option grant and the strike price is $54.20, then yeah, the grants are worthless. They'd be worthless at a strike price of $20/share. If the program is simply granting shares to the employees with no strike price (anything above $0.00 would be in-the-money to the employees) AND Elon has committed to repurchasing the grants at some arbitrary price as a liquidity event down the road, then that would be economically relevant to the remaining employees and rather generous. That sounds very on brand for Elon./sarcasm

    Rosemary Woods, Nixon's WH secretary.

    Quote

Fiercely loyal to Nixon, Woods claimed responsibility in a 1974 grand jury testimony for inadvertently erasing up to five minutes of the 18 1⁄2 minute gap on a June 20, 1972, audio tape. Her demonstration of how this might have occurred, in which she stretched to simultaneously press controls several feet apart (what the press dubbed the "Rose Mary Stretch"[6]), was met with skepticism from those who believed the erasures to be deliberate.

Movie was completely meh after the beach scene. Fight me.

This is the equivalent of Orson Welles, Stanley Kubrick, and Martin Scorsese saying it's the greatest film ever made while Roger Ebert jams three thumbs up Spielberg's ass.

Also, stay tuned on our chapter on the Final Solution, where we discuss that, before exterminating Jews, the nazis sometimes provided them delicious bowls of protein-supplemented (insects, yum!) gruel, and even GAVE THE JEWS HONEST JOBS [assembling munitions]! So, we expect a “thank you” from the Jews to the Nazis next!

Similarly, if they do show up at The Fan or Freak (with their side podcast), do they at that point lose loyalty from P1's (after saying they didn't plan to compete with The Ticket).

That part of the segment bugged the shit out of me. Gordon's advice to Sirois last year when he hosted him on twitch was if you believe that you're underpaid then go out and get what you think you're worth. It sounded to me like they're emphasizing what they want to believe and setting up a narrative that Dan/Jake would have reneged if they accept a more lucrative offer from one of the other stations. Part of that petty "ticket vs. the world" bunker mentality.

And why wouldn't they accept a better contract from the Freak? Cumulus has been an overleveraged goatfuck of an organization since they bought out Susquehanna. They've used the station's culture as leverage against the hosts for 15 years. This was the second time Jake had to put in his notice since he got his dream job three years ago. And now they're expected to turn down a bigger payday that better reflects their worth? If those guys have a problem with Dan/Jake going to another station they should take it up with their bosses. Cumulus finally put a price on culture to someone who actually mattered at the station.

In high school, I took my girlfriend to see this movie on our first date. Her reaction to this scene "I don't understand where did his thing go? Can you hide it like that?"

    She had so many questions.

Did she have any questions about Miggs's olfactory sensitivity or unconventional throwing motion?
