  1. Duke, though that kindof ties in with the overall point of "Stanford would prefer the ACC".
  2. oh hell yes, get back to playing VT, UL, and Pitt, and then bring NCSU into the fold? sign me up guarantee I'd be at the first WVU game at Carter Finley. And the Pack would be a great fit in the Big 12 honestly, one of the most fun fanbases I've ever interacted with. this is the only game I've ever been to at their stadium though:
  3. Exactly this. The biggest problem with the ACC is that they really have only 3 brands (4 if you include ND, I don't) with much of a following and a desire to be competitive that are at all attractive, and 2 of the 3 are actively trying to leave the conference. Their TV value is right about the same as the current Big 12, and that's WITH those 3. The second they lose two of them the value craters. They have 4 more programs that are actively trying to be competitive (NCSU, VT, Pitt, UL) but just don't seem to be all that appealing from a conference expansion standpoint for various reasons, aside from a "break glass in case of emergency" option. On the other hand there's a metric fuckton of dead weight in that conference that drags it down in a big way. And that's without me even touching on the arrogance of UNC and UVA here. Those two and Cal/Tree are a perfect damn match in that regard.
  4. Speaking to some people that I know that have the right connections in the area this is very much the case, especially when it comes to the Heels. UVA has more than its share of elitist snobbery but the general consensus I've gotten from some of the people I know is that UNC very much would prefer to be the ones calling the shots as much as possible in whatever conference they are in. The 100 million dollar question is if their egos will be willing to put up with being paid significantly less than they potentially could be paid in the B1G/SEC in order to keep calling the shots in the ACC. They're already the clear #4 of the remaining power conferences left, and that's going to only be exacerbated when FSU and Clemson bolt even if the only landing place is the Big 12 (it won't be). Are they really willing to make less than fucking West Virginia when there's even a partial value payment from the B1G out there to be had? The amazing part is that I'm not sure the answer is "no" to that simply from an ego standpoint with these guys.
  5. hey, I apologized for all that a while back... the moonshine just hits different sometimes
  6. I think the death blow is whenever UNC, UVA, and whoever else the B1G wants to take leave as well. Don't think that's coming any time soon unless all the schools that are looking for greener pastures decide to piggyback on FSU's fraud claim to nuke the GoR from orbit.
  7. Depends on who the RSN is. If it's Bally/Sinclair then no, they don't have them, at least not the last time I checked. Which is a pain in the ass when I want to watch my NHL team since the only option I have for that is using a VPN and ESPN+ to claim I'm somewhere I'm not that's not blocked by blackout restrictions.
  8. not even likely. I live in the heart of ACC country and the general sense around here is that the conference is going to fall apart basically as soon as the GoR is up. The ACC in its current state is a lateral move at best that saves a bit of money. The ACC once Clemson and FSU go to the SEC, and UNC, UVA, and Duke (along with ND) go to the B1G is worth about as much in terms of TV rights as the current Pac 9 is. Yeah most of our old rivals outside of the pederasts and Maryland are there, but those schools can always apply to join the Big 12 when things go to shit for the ACC.
  9. hard pass on our side. ACC is a dead man walking, only way we'd leave is for the SEC and we know THAT ain't fucking happening if it didn't happen back in 2011.
  10. already made some pretty damn good wings in it last night
  11. 4th and 7 coming, here's the game
  12. He's better than Doege today at least. Y'all can definitely see why I'm hoping that Greene shows enough to get the starting job next year though.
  13. TD wide open and WVU gets the 2. Going to be a fun finish.
  14. What the actual fuck was that Doege? You know what, fuck it, put in Greene.
  15. Greene could be a good one though he's undersized. Dude plays like he has the worlds biggest chip on his shoulder and is much more athletic than either of our other 2 this year.
  16. I fully intend to be joining it in about 15 minutes once I can close the office.
  17. Doege picked on 3rd and a mile
  18. Army holds deep in their territory and Finkle shanks it. #collegekickerproblems
  19. Pretty excited for this matchup. The matchup with the Vols was completely meh to me which feels weird to say, but this is a dang good Army team and something about teams well under 500 being in bowls feels very wrong.
  20. Nice win boys, what a fuckin finish. Living here I gotta love any time someone just sticks a dagger right in UNC's heart.
  21. I'd imagine he would but I'm not sure VT would offer in all honesty, which makes SC leaning heavily in his direction all the more amusing to me.
  22. Some talk about Neal Brown with SC was heating up this weekend but he shot that down pretty soundly. https://www.si.com/college/westvirginia/football/neal-brown-addresses-south-carolina-rumors-im-not-a-candidate-there I'm betting the Cocks end up with Shane Beamer at this point.
