Looking at Solomon Williams' On3 recruiting profile... what does UT see in him that they couldn't get from an high 3-star/low 4-star in-state EDGE prospect?

With how much defensive talent Aggy paid for in '22 class, I'm surprised it hasn't shown up on the field yet.

I haven't been keeping up Nigel Smith's recruitment. Is there a reason he didn't seem to be a priority for UT? I remember he was being talked up as the 2nd best in-state EDGE recruit earlier this year.

I'm watching popular CFB recruiting YouTuber Sharpe Sports' video that he put out a month & half ago breaking down the HUDL film of UT's summer commits. I busted out LOL during the Parker Livingstone segment thinking about the posters in this thread who were calling Livingstone a JAG throughout this Summer:
Thinking back to the WRs UT recruited in the '23 recruiting cycle, Livingstone is definitely a better X WR prospect than the Arizona kid that was previously committed to USC & the Houston area kid that was previously committed to UT that ended up at UH. Livingstone is faster & just moves better than those guys.

I talked about IT's new weekly X&O's show with Rod Babers & Ian Boyd last week, but IT's new show where Rod Babers sits down with Gerry Hamilton and breaks down what he saw in the HUDL film of some of UT's recruiting commits & targets is also good stuff:

Burton confirmed this morning that Rod Babers is officially with IT now & is gonna be doing a lot more content with them. Including something I've been waiting for: Ian Boyd & Babers doing a show discussing X&O's and Strategy. Babers will also do content with Scipio Tex.
Gotta wonder if this will effect Babers' Horns247 Longhorn Blitz podcast with Jeff Howe.

No thanks.
YEAH... FINALLY!!!
QuoteOn the debut episode of Football Theory, Rod Babers and Ian Boyd break down the regression of Xavier Worthy, how he can bounce back in 2023 & what routes and concepts work best for X!

What do y'all think the paid subscribers numbers look like for Horns247, IT, & OB?
3 hours ago, BurntOrange&White said:I'd imagine OB has the most because it's like AOL, first on the scene and somehow still have 1 million subscribers.
3 hours ago, Hookem2147 said:I have to imagine 247 has lost a ton of subscribers to other sites over the years, especially when Bobby left and popped up at IT.
They just don't pump out enough content and have no youtube/video presence.
3 hours ago, BurntOrange&White said:IT's YT has exploded....they've passed up OB fairly quickly in subs and views.
OB has a strange spike in their follower count I found interesting. Doesn't seem organic when looking at other trends across the 3 and social media growth.
Monday July 31 OB has 15.2k subs
Coincidently
Monday July 31 IT passes OB up with 15.4k subs
Tuesday Aug 8 OB is up to 16k subs with the abnormal Spike and for the same week IT again passes them without an odd spike at 16.1k subs.
Earlier this summer or spring... IT, OB, & Horns247 all did a livestream on the same Friday. The amount of viewers for the Horns247 livestream was abysmal compared to the livestreams from OB & IT that same day. It might be over for them.

Whenever Burton has people like CDC or the UT Board of Regents Chairman as a guest on a IT video, I just assume these are the people that that Bobby is referring to when he talks about having high-level sources

Babers and Orangebloods already parted ways with the daily show they had him doing. That took what, 2 weeks? He is back contributing with IT.
I’m still a firm believer that the 9 hours a day live content that Orangebloods is trying to do on YouTube is beyond dumb and not sustainable.

There is such a thing as trying to have too much content and OB is getting into that territory. No one is spending 9 hours of their day listening to videos and oftentimes the video content is outdated 24 hours later based on recent events so listening to a recording is useless.
Burton and Gerry are also a lot better in those video settings than anyone at OB.
4 hours ago, SydneyCarton said:Sir, not only is TheMailbox listening to all 9 hours, he is then running over here to link it and tell us all about it, probably while eating ham and and typing from his favorite early evening toilet.
No, I'm not. Like I said weeks ago when it launched, OB's new format of doing 9 hours of livestream content every weekday is too much like a sports radio station format. That's too time-consuming to watch all that. They need to go back to doing podcast-style YouTube shows to get me to watch again.
I'm also annoyed IT also now does a weekday morning livestream on top of the other YouTube shows & afternoon/evening livestreams they already do. I gotta assume IT is doing the weekday morning livestream for the superchat money more so than competing with OB's new format.

This seems like sports radio station format on YouTube? How is this supposed to make money?

I haven't watched today's OB Modcast yet, but yesterday's livestream was discussing how Sark at UT (along with Lincoln Riley at USC) have rebuilt & restocked their rosters to the point that each are now in the top 6 of CFB when it comes to amount of super blue chip players (5-star & high 4-star players) on their rosters. They also talked about the fact that despite UGA & Bama being the top 2 on the list, they've fallen off from where they were in 2021 and there's more parody now. Aggy is #3 on the list.

I just on Texas Homer's latest video that dropped today that WR Parker Livingstone ran 22.4 MPH via catapult. What does that translate to in the 40-yard dash time or 100-meter time?
