I love Quinn. Love what he’s done at Texas and how he carries himself.
That said, I am ready to start the Arch chapter of this book.
It’s time.
We just lost a playoff game because the other QB had 30 more starts than Quinn (exaggeration but you get thr point. 2nd year Penix would have went 8-4 with that team and 6th year Quinn doesn't let any game get within 20 this season. I'm ready for Arch by Quinn has earned every right to run it back next year.

Hell of a season from Quinn. He played well enough to win but the fumbles negated all he did. If he comes back he'll be the heavy favorite to go 1/1 in '25.

They're 21 after this and 11th in the SEC. They'll have to keep Bussey or they'd fall to 27th and 14th. They're currently in a group featuring recruiting heavyweights like Tech and Wisconsin. If Bussey leaves then Mark Stoops will have a higher ranked class than Mike Elko.

The historic 2022 A&M recruiting class has already set the record for most losses in year 1 and is currently pacing for the worst 4 year record for a #1 class. The 2010 Florida team went 8-5 in year 1 and 30-21 over 4 years.
The average record of #1 classes is 47-7 and with a current record of 6-8 the 2022 aggie recruiting class has already achieved below average results. The commitment from Texas A&M to mediocrity is unmatched.
Updating this now that the season is over. Through two years the ags #1 overall class is 12-13 which is 3 games worse than Florida's 2010 class that went 15-11 through thr same period.
That Florida class finished 15-10 over the final two years. The aggies will need to win 19 games over the next two years to avoid becoming the worst #1 ranked class of all time.
Can they do it?

So Texas has four 5-star players and is currently third in the team rankings. If we flip one or both of Bussey or McKinley where will we be ranked?
Either one would get us around 298. Both would be 304 and in front of Bama at 300. Long shots of course but if the Kelly to Michigan rumors prove true then we'd be in a good spot to get McKinley.

I'm more partial to the Hayes one. Needs more sharks.
They seem to be taking this well
If you're 0-3 vs a fraud what does that make you?

With this flip we move ahead of FSU for the number 4 spot. Regardless of what Hampton does.

Like so many of his talented teammates before him, Texas A&M receiver Evan Stewart has entered the portal. Of course this has the Texas internet abuzz. Correspondingly, our phones have been abuzz.
The other day I mentioned in the Transfer Portal thread that Texas wouldn't pursue him if he entered the portal. I said similar in the Moderator Only thread in the minutes after Stewart was announced in the portal. As I continued investigating I learned players in the locker room, including Johntay Cook, would have no issue with Stewart being pursued or joining the team. That made me pause for a moment and consider that if they're doing that homework then the staff may have legitimate interest. However, my latest intel is on par with my initial intel. I don't think Texas will pursue.
That doesn't mean things can't change, but as of now, I just don't see Stewart in burnt orange when it's all said and done.
In addition, Justin has heard Stewart could end up remaining in College Station. That's now called the Bisontis, after freshman O-lineman Chase Bisontis withdrew his name from the portal earlier tonight.
I believe Texas will take another wide receiver via portal and/or potentially the high school ranks if the right player becomes available or reciprocates.Quoting this as a placeholder for Thamels tweet that Stewart is transferring to Texas.

In his 3rd season at Texas Mack lost to OU at the hands of a lefty QB and finished the year with a loss to a Pac 12 team. Then went out and hired Akina away from Arizona before winning 10+ games for a decade straight.
Sounds a lot like our 3rd year HC? 🤔
