• Moral victory talk about almost beating LSU
• He knew what the Stoops reaction would be. Wonders if Whittingham would have been received better.
•Stoops was gonna take less money to be there. (LOL)
•References Bama needing a starting WR and they'll double what he's getting here. (Stewart?)
•Elko and Fisch not out of. Mentions they like Sumerall but won't be him.
• The board was leaning to saying yes to a Stoops hire until they floated the name.
•Tries to justify the hire and how it would have been a top 5 hire they could have made.
• The parameters of the search don't include a high salaried coach unless it's a top name.
•Mentions Day never had any interest at all despite the media talk.
•They got stiff armed by DeBoer
•Still won't go after Lane and mentions how much of a circus he is.
•If he was a betting man it'd be Elko or Robinson.
•says he's waiting for a trash talker from twitter to show up.
•Says Texas and the aggies hire from the same waters.
•the hire will happen in a day to 48 hours
•Reminiscing about how amazing the Bama win was with no real connection to the search. This lasted for 10 minutes.

This search shows the difference in our administration and theirs. We fired and hired on the same day and only semi publicly whiffed on Urban before hiring Sark. They fired Jimbo them sniffed their own farts for 3 weeks and publicly whiffed on everybody with a pulse before settling on a coach with a 52% winning percentage.

From an Arizona 247 guy who was the lead reporter on a lot of the Pac 12 demise. His coach has also been mentioned in rumors so he's at least somewhat related to the search.

Stoops makes 9 million now. Not even the aggies are dumb enough to match or beat that for Stoops right?

Fisch is great for the group they have recruited and currently have in the pipeline. Fisher recruited with the understanding that you get paid to play on Saturdays. Everything else is negotiable. A lot of top coaches would come in and clean house. They won’t have that issue with Fisch. Also, they only have to fix a couple of letters on the name plates.
In his first season they had 15 transfers in and out before going 1-11. He may want to do the same.

Gerry- "According to sources, Texas A&M wide receiver Evan Stewart is a strong candidate to enter his name into the NCAA Transfer portal. The portal window opens December 4.
Stewart is not expected to travel with the Aggies to LSU this week.
According to sources, Alabama is considered the team to beat. Ohio State, Texas and Oregon, among others, are also expected to be under consideration.
The 6-foot, 175-pound former 5-star prospect hauled in 53 passes for 649 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman in 2022. He has 38 receptions for 514 yards and four scores this season."(A&M's portal window is already open, fwiw)
He also mentioned on a live stream that Texas will be very selective. Then today said something about mature WRs but cleaned it up by saying in production terms.

It’s wild that he went into an interview blind, then shot answers from the hip that were mind bottlingly bad. How is this guy viewed as a serious athletic director?
Any AD that has to go on WFAA mid search to propagate the glory of the job opening should be laughed at endlessly. I can't believe they thought that was a good idea but they continue to write their own mockery.

The incentive based contract is straight off of texags wet dream talking points.
The thing about the ags boosters is they think like message board posters and I would bet money the big moneh contingent is thinking their hire should earn the contract through incentives. They also can't pay the buyout and a big name coach so I could see a world where they hire a Fisch type guy and boast about a first of its kind incentive laden deal that will be the new norm and have all the big media fawn over the ingenious deal they just made. That's until that guy doesn't hit any of those marks or he's poached before he does and gets a big guaranteed deal from a top 5 job.

They actually have no idea what the fuck they are doing. They are completely deluded.
The funniest part in my mind about this interview is the repeated point about being able to host playoff games in the future. Even their dreams of success only peaks at hosting a playoff game and not winning the SEC.

This is just a total guess but the more I read from aggy sites and Liucci, I don't think Traylor is particularly high on their list.
Feels like they're gonna turn their nose up at him and hire someone else. Fisch being mentioned with Day and DeBoer feels like texags propaganda to make his name seem on par with them. Plus I'd love to hear the spin on hiring a 15-22 head coach with no SEC experience.
