Question is would Mack have been the same level AD as Fulmer had we handed him the reigns?

"Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion" likely in ref to Sark
IT had been reporting that his head was with aggy and heart was with Texas.

Lied about what?
That Stan was staying on and not going to Jacksonville

Or maybe Stan is going back to the NFL. Drayton has nothing to do with Ingram leaving

My bad forgot to clarify that they are saying he is going to Jacksonville with Urban after signing day
-
Cross posting from the recruiting board: Rumor on USC and Aggy board that Sark lied to everybody and Stan is leaving after NSD 2 to join Urban in Jacksonville. Thus the Ingram portal and impending LJ to aggy pick.

A friend of mine is very close with Lanning. I reached out to see if he had heard anything from Lanning about Bama contacting him. He said he hasn’t talked to him in a few days so he didn’t really have anything on Bama. But he did say that Texas reached out at some point throughout the process but never offered. He said the offer was expected to be north of $2 million if it was made. I have no idea if this provides any value to this board but that’ll be $9.95 😁.
Sidenote: If you haven’t heard Lanning’s story on how he got into coaching college ball you should look him up, it’s pretty incredible. He started out as a high school position coach and is now a DC being floated around by FCB as a Saban target.
@MissouriHorn please come to the front of the class

Nope, not a single private flight from Detroit area to Austin area yesterday. Either it wasn't a direct flight, he flew commercial (wouldn't be surprised) or on a "super-blocked" jet like Sark did the other day, or the Twitter dude is spinning bullshit (also wouldn't be surprised).
@RGBIII with the assist

Giles is like Coleman, a good coach we can keep until we upgrade them. There seems to be enough recruiting rainmakers to make up for any perceived deficiencies on the staff, tho lest we forget the recent haul Giles has gotten.
With Arnett we could hire Lupoi to coach OLB/DL as Co-DC which means Giles can kick rocks.

I would like to see this happen just to see everyone bag on Satya for his "every. single. year." post re: Raymond.
Somebody posted a timeline of the whole two times he has been approached and that only last a couple of days each time. The fact that we are on week 2 of him being a possibility means the interest is very real

If Golding does leave then Strong may not be an option. Pruitt must be the Golding fall back for Bama

I am told that Mississippi State defensive coordinator, Zach Arnett is set to interview with coach Sark today.
Could not confirm if the interview will be held on Zoom or in person but was able to confirm that they are set to speak today.
As I mentioned earlier this week, still believe Golding and Pruitt are in the mix, as well.
It does appear that Sark is making this a legitimate search instead of the “business as usual” and “hire who you know” type deal.
Don't see any recent flights out of Starkville so it must be zoom. Did see a flight from Birmingham and Baton Rouge though.

Of all of the Saban Coordinators that left for Head jobs where does this rank on amount of staff stolen? I dont think even Kirby took this many

Drew freaking Mehringer won recruiter of the year on the back of the Texas brand. Banks will have zero issue locking this state down day 1

Yeah, it’s pretty clear Tennessee just wants save that money. Hopefully that means an offer from us leads to Pruitt being off the hook since it would offset his buyout.
Actually just read there is no offset clause so Tennessee will fight until the end to not pay any more than necessary

Insight on Jeremy Pruitt’s situation at Tennessee from a somewhat reputable “insider” on their 247 page:
I believe Pruitt will be presented with all the findings of the investigation tomorrow. I believe he will be asked some tough questions. I believe if he lies or tries to cover anything up he will be fired with cause. If he tells the truth I believe he could still be fired or have a small chance of coming back depending on how severe those violations are. Based on things that I’ve heard, I do not believe he will survive this. I do not expect him to be fired right away unless he is ready to negotiate a buyout after the interview. There’s a lot of unknowns on how this meeting will go. What exactly do they present to him? How severe are the violations? How does he react? Does he lie? Etc.
I know I have been wrong on the timeline several times. That is because every time they get close to being done with this thing something new pops up and they have to follow up and look into it. There’s a reason they are interviewing Pruitt last. I do believe this is going to be wrapped up after tomorrow and a decision will be made no later than Sunday. Team meeting is Monday which is on par for starting the semester. I can’t imagine they let Pruitt do that meeting and fire him afterwards.
In the event he is fired, I believe Steele will be the interim coach. Yes Pruitt wanted him here and yes Pruitt hired him. Steele also understands the situation and what he was coming into as Chris Lowe explained today on the radio. Fulmer has done a phenomenal job holding this together with current players. Once this is all over I may go into more detail on some things. As of today based on what I think I know and have been told, I believe Pruitt has a 10% chance of surviving this. Nothing would shock me because it’s Tennessee. I think at this point with how badly Pruitt has been knee capped this offseason and how badly relationships have been damaged, it is best for Pruitt and the University to part ways. That’s JMO. Take it for what it’s worth. I can only tell you my opinion based off what I know. I’m ready for this to be over as I’m sure everyone is. Go Vols!I think that the investigation is an internal one just so they can find enough to fire him without paying the buyout. Since he is only making 3.8/year would an offer from Texas in the 2.5 range be enough for Tennessee to pay the remainder and not report any findings to the NCAA?

Too lazy to google, is Pruitt a LB coach or DB? Cause if it is him at DC, any combo of Lupoi at Lb or Ansley at CB would leave me gruntled
DB is all I have seen with no distinction

Tennessee fires Jeremy Pruitt for cause, Fulmer to step down as AD, Josh Heupel hired

Spent Thanksgiving with some huge Volunteer fans and they seriously discussed giving Manning the HC job sight unseen and were convinced it would not fail.
