damn they are going to make us suffer
If the money was raised over the past couple of days and Tom is gone tomorrow like they said then we won't have to wait that long whether it's Urban or not.

I may have been a bit off but the most connected man in sports tweeted this.. You'll never get fired for Lawrence being a bust but it is probably a lot closer than people realize.

Tell me how well the Clemson offensive play calling is doing tonight.
Oh wow didn't know he was out tonight. But whatever this guy is sucks.

Tony Elliot isn't that impressive tbh. His offenses have been based on out athleting the opponent.

I hope I posted exactly the way he wanted me to post. I probably didn’t but since he hasn’t called or anything I guess he’s cool with it. Please please let this be happening!

Biggest question would be the defensive staff he could put together. My fantasy is Co-DCs of Dan Quinn- DL (coached together in Atlanta) and Muschamp- LB (Quinn was his DC first two seasons at Florida).
-
I don't think it's happening but we might as well start talking since he appears to be the back up plan to UM or Kelly.

Luke’s out
I am all for the ballsy calls but man all he had to do was not throw a pass on 3rd and short and they win that game.

After chasing hard for UM and failing supposedly why would a BK level hire or lower create this type of excitement? BK is a hire to get excited about but the guys who put everything on the line for UM would only have this reaction if he said yes IMO
Also the humidor mentioned that their sources were all being cryptic about a hire being made. If it was Kelly they wouldn't need to be so quite about it all because they were the ones to flat out say Kelly was the leader. And Sark is only an OC so no need to be cryptic if he was the guy. So far only Urban Meyer would require cryptic messages.

They just interviewed Harsin in a suite at the Auburn/Northwestern game. Having Urban in a Texas polo whole Thompson threw dimes may have been the most euphoric event of our lifetimes.

Everybody knows this will be Urbs last coaching job wherever he ends up so his "no" was more of a "not right now " because its in his best interest to see what all jobs come open on any level just in case. Once that all is more clear on Monday when NFL jobs and maybe even ND is open then he will pick the job he wants to retire in. Like CTJ and others have said this makes way to much sense to not happen unless a unforeseen job comes open.

If we get Kelly I want him to pull Elko from aggy.
The ND boards mentioned the other day he may not be the happiest in College Station.

I think Texas is swinging for the fences on this hire. My view remains that Urban Meyer makes too much sense and none of what occurred, after it was clear OSU could make the CFP btw, regarding him saying "no" makes a ton of sense. So, regardless of what I'm hearing about Kelly or anything else, I still believe Urban Meyer is coming to Texas after the Ohio State season is finished. Do I need to start wearing a tinfoil hat? Maybe folks think so. I don't care.
No clue. I think Mason would be a fucking bad ass DC hire for anyone. Same for Muschamp, of course.

You guys think the "Camp Fever" stuff was a strategy by the late 2000's? That was early Mack Brown and before Muschamp. The late 2000s, post the 2005 title, represents Mack Brown pushing to have recruiting wrapped ahead the summer and camps, however it needed to occur. Muschamp came into that and had to deal with it. By the 2010 class, he and Applewhite had at least made a small dent in Brown's ill-fated approach to recruiting after sloth had set in.
None of this really matters that much. Muschamp and Kelly don't know each other. He'll probably hire Derek Mason at ND or UT early next week.
But do Muschamp and UM know each other is the real question?

That’s would be cool. Having said that watch BK stay at ND and hire Muschamp.
Think it was Gerry Hamilton who mentioned Muschamp has a son in high school that plays QB and would want to go to a place with good programs in the area. There are a few in Austin area to pick from.

Would they have collected the money previously promised without having the guy lined up?
