  1. For cocktails, I'd go with the EW Bonded.  Cheaper and a higher proof point to hold up better to all the mixers.  Not one thing wrong with that juice.

Yup. I feel like EW BIB has a bit of a vanilla note that would be great for Christmas cocktails.

Do you know your neighbors?  Are they cool?  If so, tell them the situation and that you are on a mission to merk this yote.  Even a normal .22lr isn't THAT loud.  Especially when dealing with a predation issue on small pets.

It's also more ethical.  Subs work, but only at close range.  Think <50yds.  Then you have to make a difficult head shot on a small, fast, twitchy animal.  Being that you have the subs, and the range is close, just aim for the head/neck, but if you have a body shot, take it.

Biggest thing is don't leave small animals unattended.  Highly unlikely anything happens when an adult is present.  Coyotes aren't ambush hunters like big cats and they are not endurance hunters like wolves.  They are scroungers.  Opportunistic hunters.  Cats are prime sources for them and they operate outdoors; often alone.  Puppy is different.  They are always accompanied.

Yup.  This is what I believe happened to our cat recently.  I warned the kids about getting a cat that stays outside.  We back up to an open field where I have spotted a bobcat and hear many yotes at night.

  3. You obviously never saw the final Hogan's Heroes episode where we learn that Newkirk has been an informant for the Gestapo the entire series and the entire group gets machine gunned as General Patton's troops appear from the tree line near the camp.
Then again, that might have been the weekend we drank the Mexican scotch my roommate bought while he was on a diet pill run for his girlfriend and that was just a bad hallucination.

    Lot to unpack here.
  4. And that's what concerns me if they come to Austin undefeated...which it looks like they will. SEC did all they could to preserve their Pavia story, they will go down swinging defending their only remaining undefeated in the final week of the season. (Especially if a trip to Atlanta is on the line...the old guard does not want Texas waltzing in and going to the Championship in each of our first two years)

You think they want the Ags over anyone else?
