    2. This is supposedly true. When his momma would cook a huge batch of biscuits, all the kids would take as many biscuits as they could and lick them to keep their siblings from getting them.

They had better licked both sides.

I hated meatloaf when I was growing up.  When my mom made it, she would make me sit at the table until I ate it.  I thought I was going to puke.  Then it started to be OK, and eventually, I got to where I actually liked it.  Now, I make a mean meatloaf that both my kids love.  I you like meatloaf, try making it with Bison meat.  My kids love that.

    Brother?

I make a Mexican meatloaf that has crushed tortilla chips mixed in instead of crackers or breadcrumbs.

Mix in some good cheese, japs, onion, garlic, cilantro, chopped bell peppers and homeade salsa on top.

More cheese on top at the very end.

OK, I might be willing to try this.  Gonna need directions to your crib.

Rough week for the town of Edna. 16yo cheerleader found murdered in her bedroom on Tuesday

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/abc13.com/amp/edna-high-school-cheerleader-killed-student-death-investigation-teen-found-dead-in-home/14151732/

Football season ended last night 52-14 at the hands of Franklin

I saw that also about the cheerleader.  Sad news, I'll bet this doesn't stay unsolved very long.  There aren't many places to hide there.

Edna, Tx home to Stone Cold Steve Austin.

  5. Tidehaven won in OT 20-14.  We were just leaving for the game and got called off.  Old time family friend suffered a med emergency and we went to hospital.

The Brock-Malakoff game was amazing.   Brock jumped on them right away and had them on the ropes.  They got a pick-6 opening possession to make it 10-0 and were easily driving when they fumbled and Malakoff ran it back for a TD.  Malakoff's QB ran one 52 yards for a TD, and that was literally almost their whole offense for the game.  But Brock had a punt blocked inside their own 10 and then after a FG, had the ensuing kickoff stripped and run in for a TD to give Malakoff a 31-24 lead.  Brock tied it, but with 1:29 left, the Malakoff NT grabbed an INT (fumble?) and ran it back to the 14.  Malakoff punched it in a minute later for the win.

Brock has to just be sick about it.  They dominated play, but (at least?) 4 turnovers and blocked punt gave the game away.

Ganado was up 21-7 on Timpson, but Bussey scored 4 TDs in a row for the win.

Daingerfield nearly pulled out a miracle with a flea flicker Hail Mary on the last play of regulation:

That's Dobbs #5, and I think Hampton threw the pass.  Daingerfield kind of contained Dobbs from what I saw, but Tidehaven's QB really stepped up and made plays.  Tidehaven is going to state for the first time since 1980, when they tied Pilot Point 0-0.

Little known fact from 1980 about Bay City 4A, Van Vleck 3A, and Tidehaven 2A football teams.  All of them are from Matagorda County.  Bay City lost in the Semi's the week before the state games.  VV would go on to lose to Pittsburg and Tidehaven would tie with Pilot Point.  Not bad for a bunch of country kids.

I was hoping Julie had done the fun thing and voted Austin, which would have fucked Dee for not keeping her mouth shut. What is it with these players that just can’t resist opening their trap. Drew is another one.

I was hoping that Drew figured Austing would Dee, who would tell Julie.  Then he would vote Dee.  This would be 5 votes Julie and tie between Austin and Dee.  Let's vote again!  No matter how this turns out it's gonna look good on a resume'.

Let's take it a step further and have a mandatory question about what the left is for.  If you pass and get busted driving the speed limit in the left, then you get suspended.

I’ve had a tasty meatloaf with brown gravy. Love it with a chunky tomatoey sauce. And love a cold meatloaf sandwich with ketchup. No thanks on the bbq sauce, although I’d probably eat it. Because I freaking love meatloaf.

As stated FSU making it into the CFB playoffs would have been a MSU/TCU slaughter-fest that nobody wants to watch.  I can't see how anyone could make the case that they are one of the top four teams right now?

If they are really motivated, which I feel they are not, to prove everyone wrong, then they can state their case against GA.  More than likely they are going to get destroyed and put all this to bed.

Agreed.  What is the better game for ratings and recruiting, Mich vs FSU or Mich vs Alabama?  FSU's argument would be served had they won convincingly over a team they should easily won against.   Butthurt?  Go win over GA in a "fuck you CFP committee" manner.  In the meantime, wake and smell the coffee.  FSU isn't that great.

  10. When the playoff goes to 12, the 13th-ish and so-on teams will be claiming they deserve to make it in.  Since football began somebody is always claiming they "deserve" to be considered.   Maybe some team just thinks they're entitled to be a part of it.  FSU hype and team performance didn't get the job done.  12-0 looks good with a back-up QB going into CCG, but the lack of offensive results in the game doesn't.  The committee selects the best teams, not deserving, or feel sorry for, or entitled.  Lack of results (poor offensive performance) is not best team criterion.  Life isn't fair and neither is football especially when there is human judgement element involved.  We lost Brooks and kept stacking "W's" and points like wood for winter. The ACC is not worthy of a P5 designation.  Suck it up Buttercup!  Got something to prove, then go out and plaster GA in the Orange.  It is a team sport, not a Travis Jordon sport, not an Ollie Gordon sport, take away FSU and OSU's one dimension and guess what?  They suck.  I'm looking forward to aggy kickin' cowboy ass in Houston and 'noles getting their shit shove in again in what would more or less be a home game for 'em.

Surprisingly mediocre.  A fact that I always used in Econ lectures about comparative prices.

TBH, the "good apples" should probably refer to most of the people and not the fruit.  I only eat Honey Crisp or Fuji apples; regular Washington apples taste like a giant sponge to me.  But I do drink a fuckton of cranberry juice with vodka.
