Ol Mikey thinks he has Sark's play calling all figured out.
I bet he is going to gamble on trying to predict run or pass and will get burned.
His defense still has to stop whatever play is called.
He's talking a lot of shit for a short man.
He's about to fuck around and find out.

    https://www.si.com/college/texas/football/oklahoma-state-cowboys-coach-mike-gundy-predicts-texas-longhorns-steve-sarkisian-stay-in-his-box-big-12-championship

"(Coach Sarkisian) wants to run the football, he's always wanted to run the football," Gundy said. "He's going to max protect. He's going to throw the ball down the field eight to 10 times a game. He's going to max protect and run those guys down the field and try to throw the ball over your head and get big plays. He's going to run his zone play, he's going to run his counter and he's going to stay in his box. That's what he does. He's going to use his tight ends, he's going to move them. He's going to block down. He's going to drag them across our faces the field. That's what he does and he pretty much stays in his box.”

    What's actually going to happen.

I read a few articles about the shootout. The agents had .38's, 9mm, .357' and 870 pumps. One agent lost his .357 in the crash. The suspects had almost super human powers and the shots that should have stopped them didn't. They also had a mini-14 and .357 revolvers. The agent who killed them did so with a .357. Reading about the ordeal reminded me of a saying attributed to a combat soldier. A pistol is what you use to fight your way to get your rifle. They were seriously outmatched by the mini-14.

This is kind of long, but provides a very good explanation of these events:

We literally need one game against a team with a backup QB to go our way.

This right here.  I don't understand why so many people think that a Florida State win is just a given.  They struggled against some teams that Louisville beat pretty handily, and that's with their all-world QB, and they needed some last minute luck to squeak out a win over Clemson.  Louisville beating FSU is not that far-fetched, and if that happens, and Texas takes care of business, I'm betting we're in.

    Jimi

I know it's considered bad form to bump your own thread, but as today would have been Jimi's 81st birthday, I'm making the executive decision to do so.  Happy Birthday to the GOAT.

"Don't be surprised if the Aggies don't pursue Ryan Day."  Am I missing something?  Are the people who write this stuff professional journalists?  Is English grammar taught at any level any more?

Camden, Hoboken, and Jersey City suck. The rest of Jersey is really pretty; not called the Garden State for nothing. Even the jersey shore is kinda awesome. Solid food, people with comical jersey accents, bars that stay open late, high likelihood of getting laid. Cool place.

College station, is fucking terrible. It’s a hot, mosquito and roach infested, hellhole inhabited by frustrated closet homosexuals and girls who wear their pajamas to bible study to repent for having sex with her high school boyfriend, whom she’s still dating even though he’s a closet homosexual. The buildings are Soviet style. The restaurants… well I can’t say that I’ve ever been to one, unless you count the Dixie chicken. Fuck that place. I’d rather coach a girls soccer team in Kandahar or something. They’re fucking aggy idiots.

You forgot that part of NJ from around Hackensack/Teaneck down to Bayonne, and from the Hudson River west to around East Orange, with Newark and Elizabeth right in the middle.  It's really just West NYC, and it really sucks.

    Jimi

For those who are too young to appreciate just what a mind blowing game changer Jimi Hendrix was, this video provides a nice summary.  Also appropriate for the rest of us fans, a few days in advance of what would have been Jimi's 81st birthday.

It was.  But that was allowed back then.  I felt that hit in my bones in the stands.  I empathized with the Tech kicker, I felt his pain, then had a good laugh while I refreshed my Jack and coke.  Vasher was the most violent given both guys were going full speed.  Kindle damn near decapitated their QB.  Brackens wins the bronze medal for big hits against the tortilla throwers.  If we could find a way to work Bryant Westbrook into this conversation this thread would be complete.

I don't know, I think this one deserves something more than honorable mention:

Kinda reminds me of the movie Bedazzled with Elizabeth Hurley and Brendan Fraser.  Make a deal with the devil to get a P5 job with a big payday .  .  .  but it’s with aggy.

    Underrated movie.

Prefer the original with Dudley Moore and Raquel Welch.

I couldn't watch the game Monday, but I cant help but notice that Galindo is not making my eardrums bleed. Is this a permanent thing?

That stupid dance track they keep playing at every break in the action is making my ears bleed.  That shit, and that dipshit screaming " for THREEEEEEEEEEEE" every time a 'Horn hits a three is annoying AF.
