Yeah you haven’t been able to do that for awhile now. Port A is about to price out most of the trash that visits or at least they won’t be able to stay overnight. Hopefully they’ll just stop at JP Luby/North Padre.

Yep, it’s definitely trending that direction. It’s sucks having to pay more, but it’s worth it if it cleans out the shit.

Sorry, but 3,000 sq ft for four is a minimum  to me, and I have never lived in the suburbs in my whole life.  I lived in central Dallas with a family of four in 7,700 square feet and it was great.  My current 3,700 square foot house in central Houston is too small.

I went and loved it, so i priced the Sonoma River area once and decided it made more sense to buy a second home in Europe.
LA is just untenable to me as a place to live. Great place to visit, but the traffic and the bullshit would overwhelm me.  Maybe it’s just the bullshit I know, but 4 days there is about enough for me.

    This fucking guy

100% this. And not just scrambler like Sam. It was a poorly worded way of saying we need a qb that is an explosive scrambler. Whether you agree with that or not is irrelevant, but it definitely helps hide the flaws of a shitty OC/coaching staff. I don’t view Earl any differently after these comments. He’s an old ass man that gave a poorly worded answer.

No need to fluff it up for Earl. He meant what he said, and what he said was stupid.

Pittsburgh, Miami, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Ann Arbor, Baltimore, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Cleveland, Columbus, LA, Palo Alto.

    Boston is an outside possibility

there are many factors to consider apart from cost of living, and I might not get any at all; but pretty much all the rest are cheaper than Chicago, so I wanted to get perspectives on living in California.

No, no, no, no, no, no, sure, sure, sure, no, no, maybe, maybe

For reference, would be moving from Chicago.

It's for fellowship (more medical training for 1 year), so the salaries are not great by any means. Household income would likely be about $300K

I'd normally say no to moving to California, but if doing so gets you out of Chicago, you need to absolutely do it.
