Saying Biden is a good candidate is laughable and if you believe that it's actually the reason the country is rotting.

He's an out of touch octogenarian who's spent his entire life in an alternate universe of politics and is only running because he's an incumbent and only ran in 2020 because he felt like trump was psychotic and he was compelled to.

He rarely speaks to the populace and there's basically no policy being driven by the admin for current issues that actual impact Americans in big ways (social media, big tech, centralized everything, grift utilities and infrastructure etc)

I don't think Biden sucks, I don't think it's an impossible choice for the existence of the nation I think it's an impossible choice for anything else. Bidens policies don't align with a ton of people, but they will still vote for him anyway because in this absurd world we live it has become existential.

With all due respect, you're a moron. Biden has been one of the best Presidents of all time. If your "both sides" syphilitic mind can't comprehend why, that's on you.

  2. I drove around Ireland in late November, so off season-ish, years ago. I busted every hubcap on the narrow roads and ended up owing 400 euros. I don't know about credit card car primary/secondary insurance coverage, but I'd imagine it's worth the extra 15 euros a day, or whatever it is, for the body damage coverage at least.

You'll get nowhere with a contingent on here in CR-- they have literally argued that Trump is comparable to Hitler because, even though he hasn't killed 7 million people, he has the potential to... possibly if you squint and turn your head and then jump up and down and then if lightning strikes the same place twice, he could possibly one day do the same thing as Hitler.

So, in their mind, it's an apt comparison and not hyperbolic mental illness.

Why isn't there a jerk off neg rep emoji?

  4. Anti-queer fascists are always snow flake crying about queer culture being shoved down their throats (tee-hee). Yet they love spreading their crack pot views and talk openly about how their religious views should dictate public policy. Ironic, don't you think.

  5. I have a couple weeks to kill and booked an 11 day trip arriving in Nashville May 20th and returning from Atlanta the 31st. Other than visits to Nashville and a SC beach town years ago, I haven't spent any time in this part of the country, so I'd appreciate any recommendations. I created a basic itinerary below, but my route is very flexible.

I enjoy scenic drives, historic sites, and interesting places like the big universities, Augusta golf course, cool museums, etc... I'm for sure driving through the mountains a couple days, the triangle towns, Charleston, and Savannah. I'm big into hiking, but I'm going to save anything more than a couple day hikes for a future visit. I've done Nashville, so it's just a convenient starting point for an evening flight and morning drive to Knoxville which is supposed to be scenic. I put the route from Raleigh to Charleston along the coast as a placeholder, but I don't mind skipping the coast for an inland route if it has scenic or other appeal.

I know 11 days isn't much time to see all of these places. But I'm fine with brief stops so that I can cover as much territory as possible and see what's worth a longer future visit. Gracias.

  6. I lived there six months last year. Food on the whole is just ok. I can't think of a can't miss place. They have a surprisingly good brewery scene. The drafts are limited to 5% as next2naus noted, but the cans are usually high octane and can be consumed inside the breweries. Roha Brewing Project near downtown is my favorite for the quality of the beer, though it's smaller and shabbier than some other breweries. For breakfast, my favorite spot was Park Cafe near downtown on the southern end of Liberty Park (a bad ass park btw).

Read what I wrote above. He's gay, he doesn't want to admit it to himself, so he comes up with all these dumb things, treats women like trash, so to try and prove how NOT gay he is.

As a gay, I'm dubious of the notion that some piece of shit trying too hard to prove his alpha manliness is likely/probably closeted. He and guys like him may just be very misogynist straight assholes with no game. If he is gay, well y'all can keep him.

Headed out in a month. Ten nights. Flying in and out of Tokyo.

    Current thoughts:

    Tokyo 3 nights

    Kyoto 3 nights

    Osaka 2 nights

    Tokyo 2 more nights

Too much Tokyo? I don’t mind staying longer in three or two cities instead of four…and I also don’t wan to try and “see everything” in my first visit.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

A few years back I did almost that exact itinerary. IMO, no that's not too much Tokyo. It's an amazing city with plenty to explore.

Speechless regarding the talking to parents who lost children in the '99 collapse hoping their undying loyalty to ATM would have diminished the grief enough for them to approve of and endorse the revival of this turdition.

“The members of the committee and I are extremely sensitive to your loss. I do not want to reopen the many wounds that you have but it is important to me to have your opinion,” Bellinger wrote in the letter, asking to meet with the families.

Sweet Jesus on a joystick there is no end to the insensitive moron who wrote this letter.  As a parent who has lost a child, I just shake my head in disgust at these people who have no concept of what pain still must remain for those unfortunate families.

School loyalty aside, it's just objectively truly sickening and enraging.

  10. Best of luck man. Many of us have been there. Just a random thought, maybe consider starting a small business that doesn't require much up front investment. It's easier said than done of course, but certainly within the capability of a smart hard working person.

Funny I just posted about my shoulder MRI in the MRI thread a few hours ago. Hurt my shoulder benching (dumbbells). Symptoms sounded similar to yours. This is what the results showed. I just turned 47. Injured it in December, got the MRI results late January. It is still not healed. I work with a trainer and he works around it. I am a side sleeper that doesn't sleep very well, meaning I toss and turn from one side to the other all night. I believe that sleeping on my left side is preventing it from healing but at this point in my life I value sleep a lot so it's hard to rectify that.

I'm a stomach sleeper that probably does a few dozen 360s on 5 or 6 hours of sleep each night . When I have access to it, I take about 20 mg of sativa edibles and hour or two before bed and get 8 to 9 hours of deep sleep a night without all the movement.

We had two properties get put on the surplus market last year at 9x the cost. Brutal.

Fucking hell. I'm sorry to hear that. We'd probably just end up selling if it came to that. I can't imagine our tenants accepting that pass through expense, and I wouldn't blame them.
