This is how I felt, too. It's not bad but Conan Without Borders seems a lot more genuine. The Haiti episode is awesome and reminds me of the No Reservations Beirut episode.
Watched 2&3 and thought they were much better. Pretty pretty pretty funny. -
If you like this stuff, check out. The Cuba episode was epic for so many reasons. May be the best show he's ever done.
Yeah that series was great. Only watched the first new one and to me it came across as a bit forced and scripted. -
I recognize Kellyanne Conway and they guy from ‘The Guild’ but never heard of the rest.
You forgot the praying coach? And that other dude who saved the Portland Federal Courthouse from the ANTIFA mobs?- 3

An eclipse in Iceland sounds like a fucking plan.
Looks like Reykjavik only gets one minute of totality. Still, Iceland in August would be pretty awesome. Thinking about cashing in some miles.

The most unexpected part for me was at like 98-99% and it still looked somewhat normal outside and I’m thinking, “wait, is this gonna happen still? Does the ring just disappear or what?” And then HOLY SHIT all at once it just happens.
Yeah that was very cool. Here it was like someone flipped the light switch. Then again as the first sliver reappeared, boom lights on.- 2

Earthquakes in NYC was not on my bingo card
Predicted by Todd Rundgren in 1972… -
Also there was an eclipse in 2017. I forget, who was President then?

and sully that beautiful building?
Eero Saarinen would be rolling over in his grave
Well he did sign an executive order mandating classical architecture for DC federal buildings so he will probably want some changes made. -

Grand Canyon has a great game plan. Hack constantly because the refs won't dare call all of them lol.
Still, pretty good showing for the National Park Conference.- 1

This is what we need to be pushing with the Qanon crowd.
Oh it’s mucho fun. Whenever a MAGA acquaintance spouts one of their conspiracy theories I counter with one even nuttier about Trump.
If they demand confirmation all I say is “do your own research” or “it’s on the Dark Web if you look hard enough” or “Soros is going to release the info in two weeks”- 11

Shutdowns started under the Trump administration and he’s been jabbed plenty. Easiest message in the world
No telling what the Deep State implanted in him when he was in Walter Reed. -
strangely specific
And ruefully accurate- 1

I agree with a lot of this, but there are many neighborhoods city proper adjacent (3-10 miles from downtown) in Dallas, Houston and Austin that are within very short distance to restaurants/nightlife/cool parts of town that have excellent schools and sports for kids. I wouldn’t consider these suburbs.
WHERE you live in a city can make a huge difference in the quality of your experience.- 1
