In a race or car chase with both characters going full out. One guy decides he really wants to go fast so they cut to him shifting gears.
It's the go really fast gear because the car zooms forward.
I'm also annoyed that every show where Chinese food has been ordered everyone is deftly using chopsticks. Sure.

I told them to do the deal, but they didn't do the deal. Now they have no cards to make a deal.
Deal. Deal. Deal. Deal.
Like no one's ever seen before.

One can appreciate Tucker taking Cruz apart without endorsing everything Tucker represents.

Your thinking does not align with cult paranoia and vindictiveness.
The data dump should come any day now.

You know what? No. I’m tired of this bullshit meme. Oh? Some traitor had a salient point for one moment in their lives? More than likely a mistake or a deliberate attempt to reach out to one iota outside their cult bubble? No. Fuck them. Always and forever.
I don't know who that is. Can you tell me?
Thanks

pwning the libs being at the top of that very short list.

He must loathe Cruz. Credit where it is due, he turned the former star debator inside out both factually and rhetorically.

Yes! We got a new car that has the HD radio. I was listening to the BBC News Hour on a KUT channel. The hosts were knowledgeable and actually to apply critical thinking in real time. They were also bold enough to state clear truths without feeling they had to quote anything that came out of their mouths.
I guess Mike Wallace is passing into the past, but I wish we could turn every TV "journalist" into that guy. There used to be a saying of how the worst thing anyone could hear from their receptionist was, "Mike Wallace from 60 Minutes is here to talk to you."
If you don't of him, it's probably worth looking him up on YouTube. All those old school guys were great.

That will take nukes. We've proven over and over and over that conventional bombing campaigns aren't enough against a large nation state.
Remember Shock and Awe? Overpromised, underdelivered.
People don't only get scared when you bomb their friends and families and cities. They also get vengeful.
I see us dusting off the ol' Terror Color Scare Scale and moving it to red.
The level was reported every night on the news until the levels ceased meaning anything and didn't scare anybody enough to keep them from wondering about the wisdom of Homeland Security one day being led by a sycophantic dolt. It had already served its purpose, though. Nobody care about it anymore.

I think the wise men of this board have said that they can see A&M finishing sixth or even fifth.
Are these acquisitions surprising to you?
Am I correct about the prediction above and is that still the consensus.
I find it hard to worry about the Aggies due to the poor performance of their most talented players for much of last season. That end (Scourton?) lit things up early, but the rest of the line...well, you know. They collapsed at the end of their season kind of like their super-duper baseball team shit themselves against Missouri.
Why couldn't Elko get more out of these guys? Signs point to a still-rotten culture.
Anyway, thanks for the answers to come.

The US Secretary of Defense pondering implications during a meeting where war may be waged at any moment:
Fuck, was I supposed to wear a red tie? I got the suit right, but why didn't my assistant tell me about the tie when I was kidding around and rubbing her ass yesterday?
And the cap! Fuck. I didn't bring the cap. I need another drink!

I beg your pardon, sir. William went on:
I was at a chess tournament, and all play stopped when this news riffled through the room.
I read that a cattle stampede out on the prairie just stopped when cowboys called out the news.

You mean the defending national champ, whose defense was #1 in Yards/Play, Yards/Game, and Scoring? I'd say if Arch lights up Ohio St, aggy should...
And they say our expectations are high.

Nah, just hoping for the funniest possible "this timeline" outcome at this point. After Iranian leadership is decapitated we fly Reza Pahlavi in to set up an interim transition government.
And all of Iran loves the Americans forever after.

They also assume the airs of a team that actually knows what it's like to be good. Aside from their winning percentage in games they never played and losses that are as good as wins, they got nothing.

....this is the important take. State charges have to drive the bus, because Trump will 100% find some insane reason to tell DOJ to drop the charges (and the DOJ is the president's personal law firm now), or pardon him, or both.
And Americans, for the most part, will go about their daily lives.

So he had a PhD, lives with a roommate, thinks he is ready to take on the position of VP/CEO of a corporation but gets hired to be in charge of security guards. Sounds like the perfect MAGA guy.
Nobody knows more about security than he does. He knows more than the Secret Service and Brinks. He uncle taught security at the Sorbonne.

Not unexpected but I had to shake my head at TexAgs thread on this. On their page 1 and 2, they're debating how that this tragedy is a result of the politician victims voting against some recent democrat bills related to protecting abortion rights in MN. (I have zero idea if this is accurate or not.) And that the perp must be a deranged lib who is upset at their betrayal of Dem ideals.
Now on the last page, they're upset that libs wants to politicize this issue by pointing out that the perp is a MAGA Trump supporter.
They perfectly display why rational argument is dead. Those minds won't be changed.

I'm sadly aware. Oddly, I'm comforted by the fact that Sooners outnumber them pretty substantially. Pick your poison sort of deal.
Sooners aren't obsessed stalkers convinced you're part of something more evil than just yourself. They're just football rivals. It's why beating them is a bigger deal than beating the Aggies, but losing to the Aggies is a bigger deal than losing to the Sooners.
Aggies see it as a universe affirming event.

Texas A&M Recruiting 2026: The World's Drunkest Elk
in 🤫$9.95🤫

William getting the fart-huffing band back together. They're elite! How elite?
Higher than top five! They'll be in the top five just above the top five.
William goes into schizo gear:
1 Okay, we're talking about coaches.
2 Somewhere else is the only place A&M coaches can make a name for themselves.
3 Okay, we're not talking about coaches. We're talking about Edwards.
4 Okay, we're talking about two unnamed skill guys. Spectacular ones!
5 Now four guys followed by ellipses!
6 Just about everybody is a potential game changer, Excitable Boy William.
