Probably the coach married to a strength coach who was busied getting plowed during their sessions rather than getting him physically prepared for the most important day of the start of his post-collegiate career.

He both pissed off a coach as well as showed up at the NFL combine in sub-optimal physical condition.

    Dude.

There’s also a lot of conflation in this thread of 2 distinct groups:

Incels = guys that really want to get laid but “can’t”.

The other group that I guess has no name = young men that don’t have much desire to get laid and aren’t even engaged in the pursuit. This is the group that’s really the one growing in number.

    That’s the same group.

Random thought...does anyone think the #metoo movement has a part in this?

I know correlation and causation are different, but #metoo started in 2006 and blew up globally in 2017.

I'm wondering because I know, that by today's definition, I could have been accused of rape several times back in the 80's and 90's.

And before the pitchforks come out, who here never fucked a drunk girl in HS or college?

I’ve thought about that too. I think it’s not directly related. I think the reduction in drinking is closer. A ton of people learned how to let their guard down and talk when they were introduced to alcohol. Anecdotally, I run through a campus most mornings for exercise. There used to be evidence of parties that needed to be cleaned up, especially on the weekends. That isn’t a thing anymore. And I really don’t think it’s due to recycling habits or a stellar janitorial crew.

The Ticket doesn't have money to bring on more people. Plus Danny and Sirois already complained that it wasn't enough money to stay on. If the Freak can last a year and half with no ratings, I'm sure Cat is fine with middays for a good while. Danny also burned a bridge I bet with his little song about Cat. Not the smartest thing to do when you know the end appears near.

I know you aren’t Jeff Catlin, but if Cat was posting here, I think this is a what he would post.

Understood, but I still think he’s good enough to go 2nd day is all I was alluding to

I wish he would. I don’t see it happening.

is definitely starting LB’s that’s not explosive, and Ford has explosion. But his instincts and coverage should cover for the lack of explosion

But you wouldn’t consider them among the best right now, which is what that poster said.

What does that have to do with being a good Lb?!? Just cause he’s not explosive??

It has a little bit to do with being a good LB.

For consistent pay and the chance to keep chasing the radio dream, sure. For inconsistent pay, constant self-promotion, big start up costs, and an unknown popularity, not so much. I guess they can look at how often their podcasts with the Freak were getting downloaded but this wasn't the #1 show in the timeslot designed to strike out on their own combined with one of the guys having a lot of seed money.

Don’t they both have other gigs for a steady paycheck? I’m pretty sure that’s why they were able to stick around the ticket as long as they did.

Regarding self promotion…you are probably correct there.

Start up cost… Probably nil and could be why Dan and Jake have suddenly been on air with them and why Danny was hanging around the DZ remotes.

Unknown popularity…no idea there and I can’t imagine it’s great. I haven’t listened to them since they have been gone.

Not trying to argue with you here. Just spitballing.

My biggest confusion is why teams don’t value Jaylen Ford?!! I’m not saying he was the best but I think he’s better than day 3

Every linebacker that has been taken has had an on-screen scouting report of “explosive”. Would you describe him that way?

He a rarity, especially in the era of NIL.  Content to wait his turn behind Bijan and Roschon and after we signed Baxter.  Amazing young man.  So thankful that we were able to hold onto him and that his loyalty and faith in the program payed off for him.

Coincidentally, Baxter was there tonight with him when he got drafted.

First RB drafted two years in a row ain’t a bad thing to be telling recruits.  I knew we stole Brooks because he was from a small school but wow at his offer list:

He is universally beloved by EVERYONE in that Hallettsville area. Really good guy.

Many mock drafts had him ahead of Worthy, I believe. The diabetes and the character issues reported by some scouts probably hurt his stock.

His players tribune article suddenly started reappearing on social media this week. That probably should have been a sign that they were worried about those reports.
