He often talks up what a great job Frank Haith is doing.  That should tell you something.

For all the talk that it’s so hard to get some assistants through compliance, it’s hilarious we have him on campus

Tolle will probably win that award going away, regardless of how TCU finishes. OSU has a couple of starters who will also be in the discussion (Garcia and Holiday). Boehm probably won't have the pure numbers to contend with those guys but he could win reliever of the year (I think that is an award they do).

If not for the Washington blowup he’d probably have an era in the 1s and I’d argue harder for him. Starters will always get the edge for that award, rightfully so.

Was scared this was going to be the direction we'd go if we lost out on Pope, perfect fit for Beard

We had assumed this was potentially the flip that's been discussed from us dropping Scott

Someone on twitter said there was a disagreement on his role. There’s really no point recruiting the 20-60 range out of high school anymore. If they aren’t going to start day 1 you need someone with some patience.

We drove over to Storrs last time Texas played there, buzzer beater win for the Horns IIRC.

Yep. Jon Holmes in the corner.

"We’re still watching for exPorts with one potential “surprise” as a possibility."

There's a strong chance this player will leave. We might find out today.

    We're also tracking a rePort aka a one-time imPort.

That reads like it’s not a 2024 transfer leaving Holmes as the only possibility, no? Add in 2024 and you’ve got Golden or Mukuba maybe.

So, 72 in RPI?  That screams "post-season".

We have 2-3 potential Q1 series left that should boost us. And we don’t have any midweek games in May which eliminates opportunities for Pierce to shoot the team in the foot

Im curious to see how far that trend continues. The current favored metrics provide 0 incentive to play midweek games after mid-March or so

while bizarro is somewhat true, I think you are overestimating how they can turn it on when things are on the line.  This conference sucks ass which is why we are muddling our way through some of the series.

I'll take the series wins but they don't really tell us much due to the competition.

The conference sucking makes the non-conference underperformance even more damning. We pissed away every opportunity to build a good RPI base. Every 2-1 weekend performance vs a middling Big 12 team is immediately cancelled by the next q4 home loss.

  8. Bizarro season. 1-5 on conference Fridays. 5-1 in conference series’. Nightmare non-conference performance. They certainly know how to turn it on when things are on the line, but it’s hardly enough to dig out of holes they create for themselves

Nobody in the stadium knew it hit him. If they knew why didn’t they huddle on their own?

It was a good ejection in terms of raising the temperature inside the stadium.

A good ejection is a wonderful thing. Are there any other sports where you can lay into the officials and energize the building with 0 sporting penalty?
