Sark also seemed really impressed with Jaray Bledsoe’s pass rushing ability

No Terrance Brooks on the two deep means that the article belongs in the trash

TexAgs thinks they are about to flip Mitchell from Bama.

There’s some chatter that Matthews could announce today.

Aggy just signed 6 5 star d lineman last class. I know we like to dump on them but that’s a really hard pitch to beat for an elite LB. However, the case is the same as it’s always been, if Texas wins on the field, we get who we want. At some point we have to just win

Yeah and we had him on campus? What top priority targets and big names showed up that weren't committed?
Plenty of big time 24’s and 25’s. Would you rather be in Aggys position than ours right now? Let’s not be so cynical

I’m sorry but no way Lincoln let’s this kid go to Aggy. If it happens that’s gonna set USC way back

It’s just a guess that’s not based on intel.. he sees that they have the Cali QB coming in and he’s assuming that means big $ is on the table.

Getting Matthews would take us to 4 blue chip DB’s in this class. I wonder if we would be done there and allocate the rest of our spots to Edge, DL and one more off ball LB take? Obviously if someone like Toviano wants in you tell him yes but he becomes much more of a luxury than a need

What’s with all the Vasek hate? Dan Lanning, Venables, and Dabo want him. Seems like a good player

Agree with this. I wouldn’t say those issues are completely gone in year 2, but significantly diminished to where they are little more than an afterthought when a player or two has a brain fart for a minute.
The TCU game and the Arkansas game stand out the most. There were multiple times where we looked like the old Rob Ryan led Cowboys defenses with players in utter confusion and linebackers having their backs turned to the ball and yelling at safeties when the ball is snapped.

I was fairly high on Swanson last year, I think he is really disruptive with a high motor and has a sneaky good pass rush. Is he an EDGE or a 3 Techinque? Too early to tell, but it wouldn't shock me to see him turn heads once the pads come on. We seem to know the blueprint on offense, on defense it is hard to get a read. Some of that was the discombobulated mess last season, but they have a variety of "types" along the D Line. Linebacker seems to be a bit more consistent. My head scratcher is the DB evals. They seem to want position versatility, and while that isn't a bad thing, Muhammad and perhaps BJ Allen are the only guys we have recruited with a definitive position back there. The rest get lumped into: "Well he could be a corner, nickel, or safety."
Sark said that the blueprint on D is big and sturdy on the DL, Lean guys that can drop in coverage in the edge, High IQ LB’s and long and fast in the secondary. They’ve hit on all of those traits outside of LTG

The PK demise really makes no sense. I remember that Washington fans were so sad when he left. He has such a great reputation throughout the industry that I’m thinking the odds favor him getting things turned around. The culture issues within the program and him being the third DC in three years and the players not grasping his concepts are legitimate excuses imo. But those excuses are gone now in year 2

It’s been mentioned before but it dang sure seems like our 9.95ers actually hurt our program

2022 Fall Camp: Drippin'

Angilau being hurt would massively suck but one silver lining could be that it would provide a young guy like Campbell or Hutson an easier path to PT
