Fat guy tip regarding CFS at Roadhouse:
order it gravy on the side.
cut up CFS and use the rolls and make sliders.  Dip in gravy.

    You're welcome.

Sounds like you might very well but the BIG in your username! *

it’s only slow because they’re cooking and preparing everything fresh so your burger is always hot and the fries are always crispy.

If that were the only issue, one would think they would have a firm enough grasp on their prep times to give a more accurate estimate on the app.

I'll take your word for it, and that makes sense.

My dad's pacemaker alerts his physician's office with irregularities, so I'm familiar with that process.  I assumed in AB's case that it was the physician's office that maybe had an itchy trigger finger in terms of calling in support.   That still seems more plausible to me than a sheriff and EMT showing up based on his phone, or whatever, monitoring his conversation with his wife.

Makes sense in theory, but way easier for the MD’s office to call the patient directly and recommend going to the ER if necessary.  Even then, if they got the phone call within a half hour I would be very impressed with that clinic’ processing time.

This sounds much more Big Brother-y to me.  Maybe an app on the phone that is listening in?  Way too weird of a coincidence.

my local WB's curbside is a joke with their wait times

This is precisely why I tried in-store pick-up.  I assumed they were slammed, short staffed, or both, and that was causing the delays.  It appears the issue is they are just insanely slow in food prep for a “fast food” restaurant.  If they would adjust the expected ready time on the app there would be a lot less to complain about.

In-store pickup allows me to get my drink while I wait, make it the way I like it, and if they take too long top the drink off before leaving.  Slightly better than just sitting there getting more and more frustrated in my parking space.

Haven’t checked in on this thread in awhile.  Damn, my boat has been laid up for months with an exhaust issue.  Mechanic promises next week.  I’ve hardly boated in the last few years.  I mean I’ve been to the boat a lot, but trips have been hard to come by.  I really want to change that next year.  Otherwise what am I doing with this thing other than piss money into it?

I thought that was the central core of boat ownership?

  6. FWIW, if that Kentucky team can beat Ole Miss on the road and stay within 1 point of UGAy, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that we steal one or two that we aren't supposed to win the rest of the way out.  I would guess Ole Miss is the most likely, Texas is least likely.  This doesn't change our coaching mental deficit, but Lagway give hope for the future assuming he sticks around.

  7. Had WB yesterday here in in TN.  Ordered on the app.  Free medium onion rings, #2 combo.  Placed the order a couple of miles from the restaraunt.  App said it would be ready (ASAP option) between 12:48-12:50.  Got there around 12:46. Not busy, no line waiting to order.  What time did they hand me my bag?  12:58.

I really want to support them, but those Chicagoans are really making it hard.

When you're old and forget so ypu climb a ladder with a rigged up chain saw , thinking it's a good idea, when the tree branch falls knocks the ladder out from under you and you're not as young as you used to be this shit happens. If anyone else follows me on Facebook you know the incident from about 6 weeks ago with the hubby , aka big man child.  This is his left shoulder.

Didn't catch this the first time.  a couple of those screws look like they could have gone all the way through the humerus.  If so, that could be most unpleasant.  How is hubby doing?

More like 4...atm, ou, msu and arkie... just different shades of maroon.

I hope you are a Garanimals guy when it comes to wardrobe selection, if you think OU and AR are maroon.

  10. I have one bad ear (thanks a lot hair metal), and got one from Costco a little less than a year ago.  Phillips.  I am not terribly impressed.  I need to check and see if any local hearing centers will allow a trial run before forking over something like $3K for one (the Phillips was $750 at Costco) to see if there is a big enough difference.
