Sark used Gibson as the lead blocker on a trap play against MSU, and it made me think he’s looking for a piece like this. You can hand the ball to Terry, have him line up as an H-back, or motion him out to the slot. It allows Sark to utilize, 11, 12, and 20 personnel all without subbing so he can take advantage of defensive personnel weaknesses.

I doubt Cam will declare unless he’s legitimately a top 45 pick. Pick 64 got $1.5 mil per year with only $1.5 mil guaranteed over 4 years. Cam could make a hefty sum in NIL as the best returning OL we have and improve his draft stock to a more surefire first round pick in 2026, where he’d be getting $3-5 mil per year and $6 million guaranteed. If Williams does declare, I’d expect us to be willing to pay top dollar in the portal for an OT.

I also struggle to see Campbell declaring. He just hasn’t shown enough to get picked in the first 2 or 3 rounds.

Campbell is getting subbed out liberally now for Hutson and I’m not even convinced he’s the best right guard on the team. Who the fuck is still pumping the Campbell declaring early for the draft shit?

Hudson doesn't fit the profile of who they're looking for out of a portal WR - 1) Speed - he ain't fast. 2) Proven production - he ain't done shit.

I don’t want Hudson here after what he did during his recruitment but let’s not get carried away. He’s an elite prospect that everyone including Sark wanted. Dipshit Joey is mismanaging him like he does everything else and I expect Hudson to be at Ole Miss/Oregon/Missouri next year tearing it up.

I mean it's pretty obvious what happened here. He wanted to get paid to play, he didn't want to get paid for NIL.

Of course most people on this thread think they are the same thing and apparently so did his dumb as fuck agent and that's why he got told to go fuck himself.

The rules are the rules and the law is the law apparently for some of you that doesn't matter, and you are the same group that would find yourself in this situation personally if you were involved in NIL.

I understand that. But somehow we sign players in the portal as do most schools. We somehow communicate with them about NIL expectations and they choose to go to Texas and things seemingly work out. Money is involved in that transaction. How are UNLV and their starting QB so far off base? You are saying you know for sure how that went down. How?

  4. Without knowing whose version of the story is true there still are lessons some schools need to learn. Be crystal clear with the guy you are signing to play QB for your team about NIL so something like this does not happen. Regardless of how it’s all arbitrated in the end you are without your starting QB and your school looks mismanaged at best and untrustworthy at worst.

  5. I would definitely need to know more facts about what is going on. The two sides are telling two very different stories. He was signed as a transfer and was very well sought out by a lot of G5 schools. I’m assuming he chose UNLV based on financial promises made to him. If they didn’t honor those, well what is his recourse if this is his final year of eligibility? Just play and oh well life isn’t fair?

Or is the story true that UNLV is pushing? He asked for more money after a good start to the year and being tampered with? There is no middle ground on facts here. One side’s story is a lie.

Outside of taking the cheese here and there, gbenda has been consistently solid this year. He’s a pretty good straight line athlete too.

Gbenda is fine. He still makes terrible run fit decisions at least once a game but otherwise is perfectly adequate. But he’s not the second best linebacker on the team. If we are pushing the chips in this year to go for a title I would love to see if he could play WLB next to Hill at some point.

Everytime I see something about him i think it is news he is transferring. Might be good news if the fight is true.

Yee it’s good news that guy who cannot get himself into shape is also turning out to be a team cancer. Hip hip hooray!

  8. If we learned anything from his time at Texas, he likes being the man in charge. He likes doing favors for connected alumni. He likes giving jobs to sons and daughters of family members and close friends. He is not going to walk away or resign until they basically throw him out. Expect UNC to get burned to the ground first like he did here on the way out.

  9. Jordan Washington is our big ticket item at tight end. Unless something derails his development curve, he seems to be the most likely starter next year.

I also do not see us taking a RB early in the transfer portal with six scholarship backs on the roster next year. That needs to be a wait and see if guys are not on track for recovery or we lose someone to the portal. If Baxter is on track to play, you have a logjam again.

  10. For sure the flag was thrown on the South Carolina defender because of the Latin American Futbol style embellishment by Nuss. That being said, you cannot go head hunt the QB after a turnover and players know that and any good team gets that coached into them. You could tell the defender knew he was right on the line when he threw his hands up to say “I didn’t do anything!” which actually means I did something but please don’t throw a flag on me.

Just stay away from hitting the QB. Nuss was not about to tackle anyone. You put yourself in that position needlessly if you do that.
