  1. If Georgia and us win game 3, we will face each other. We would avoid Florida in game 1.
  2. Finally a few birdies by Texas. 2 from the same player.
  3. They're struggling early. Every other school except Texas and one other has been negative for today.
  4. #1 Stanford loses to Northwestern in women’s golf in above upset, losing 10 points off their maximum and expected score. Perhaps USC becomes our biggest threat.
  5. This would shock you, but the people in OKC praise our team for not whining to the refs compared to how much Luka does or how much Westbrook did when he played here.
  6. I don’t know if it would have made a difference in the standings, but the Aggies losing the regionals gave Stanford a path to the CWS and scoring more Directors points. But a walkoff homer sent Stanford home, so I’m sure their maximum points just went down.
  7. Plus the price of oil hit a 4 year low earlier this year.
  8. Men’s tennis moves into the semis earning 10 more points and also matching their expected points. If they make the finals they will score either 7 or 17 additional points.
  9. Hypothetically, if they were to make a coaching change after the season, which coach would you not want them to hire, who would turn the program around and be a thorn in the side?
  10. There’s a new book coming out about quarterbacks written by Seth Wickersham. Arch’s recruitment is described as being ruthless. The book is on pre-order now. I wonder what details will come out.
  11. Last day of upcoming tournaments that will affect the projected top 4 shown above Baseball 6/23, Women's golf 5/21, Men's golf 5/28, Women's lacrosse 5/25, Women's rowing 6/1, Softball 6/6, Women's tennis 5/18, Men's tennis 5/18, Track and field 6/14 In my opinion, for purposes of these projected totals, it's better to go into a tournament and outperform your projection. If you're #1 like North Carolina lacrosse or USC track and don't win, then you lose points compared to your projection.
  12. Local and national media types are drinking the kool aid. Greg McElroy at ESPN said "I'm not sure there's been a team that's going to improve as much as I think Oklahoma has a chance to improve, I think Oklahoma is poised for a significant jump in wins. I think Oklahoma is poised to have some breakthrough candidates in multiple different positions." OU's counterpart of Craig Way said that OU got the top QB, RB, and WR (Gibson?) in the portal.
  13. Batting .714 so far.
  14. But OU is really great at developing players.
  15. As our baseball team moved up the rankings our projected points increased. However, the projected points maybe too optimistic. As the #1 baseball team, if we don’t end up winning the CWS, then we drop points compared to the projected total.
  16. Where has it been confirmed that Paige is not straight?
  17. I have another Texas story that you'll enjoy hearing from the same neighbor. In 2005, they picked up Michael Huff from the airport. They asked him what clubs or restaurants he wanted to visit while he was in Oklahoma City. Michael said he wasn't there for any of that and that he had early morning workouts planned, probably to prepare for the upcoming draft.
  18. One of my neighbors is on the committee to pick the Thorpe award winner. He said that Jahdae was one of the most impressive young men he’s met in the last 25 years while serving on the committee.
  19. Plus, there's minor speculation that A&M could move on from their baseball coach. His buyout is $3 million.
  20. I’m glad to have found this thread. My boss is a big Chelsea fan. 10 years ago he assigned everyone a team in the EPL to root for. I got Liverpool and have been following them since.
  21. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/43624832/texas-tech-college-football-transfer-portal-nil-recruiting Tech just had the #2 transfer portal class. One of the Double Eagle founders helped to make that happen. I think if one of our boosters was willing to spend and had a huge bump in net worth it would impact our team. If Tech was willing to commit $1 million to a softball player, they might go even higher for a blue chip football player.
  22. I'm in the oil industry, and I saw an article that Diamondback is in talks to buy Double Eagle IV for $5 billion. Looks like those guys that helped get Canady to Texas Tech have even more to spend.
  23. I can't say I'm sorry to hear that ESPN rated OU's 2025 class as the most disappointing. Lack of star talent at QB, DB, and WR. They summarize the class by saying "In a conference that has seven teams among the top-10 classes and for a program that has made four playoff appearances, this class lacks the impact to propel them within the SEC and return them to national prominence." National signing day - Winners, losers and takeaways from 2025 recruiting - ESPN
  24. ESPN names 4 of our recruits as either 1 or 2 in the country at their position. Ffrench, Terry, Jonah Williams, and Terry.
  25. https://reg.uga.edu/general-information/calendars/academic-calendars/ Georgia’s deadline has passed, but I don’t know how that affects things.
