  2. Ackman is spinning. He must have got a call from the WH or Netanyahu to tone it down.
  3. I am not ashamed to admit that I haven't read a newspaper in years. I saw on X that it was an article taking up most of the page, so I assumed it was the front page to grab a reader's attention right away.
  4. Ok I will edit my post so y'all can focus on the big picture (literally).
  5. You actually zoomed in to see if it was the front page or not? Does it make you feel better if it's not?
  6. Best championship game since...
  7. Toronto Star not holding it back.
  8. Dude is a great singer!
  9. Welcome to the long game.
  10. Is your position that no matter what the dems did they could not win the election because of stupid voters? This is where I disagree. There is and will always be uneducated, stupid and biased voters. A smart leader is able to overcome it. Muslim voters felt like they were not being heard, and they wanted to punish the incumbent. That's usually the natural outcome when a demography feels like they are not being heard. The problem going forward is going to be how dems can relate to people who feel like they are not being heard. Do you accept it as inevitable and blame the "stupid' or do you craft a strategy to overcome it? We lost a few important supporters like Musk and Ackman with a huge following during the last election. These people are not stupid. They just formed an alliance that they thought would benefit them more. Ackman was pleading Biden to drop out for months and then he switched sides. To ignore the mistakes as someone else's problem is the recipe for failure again.
  11. The 90-day suspension idea was originally floated by Bill Ackman, I think.
  12. Oh, Bill, how does buyer's remorse taste like?
  13. Fucking this! It's fine to bring back strategic manufacturing to the stateside, but who cares about who makes the toys my kids will play with for a day or two? It's unimaginable to think that people in charge of running the treasury and the commerce department don't understand this. Not a fan of what Elon has become but I like this post below by him where Friedman talks about the free market. https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1909169096391811304?t=Bu5BrSF0jCT3xaEhqXtX6w&s=19
  14. Wealth wasn't enough for them. They also wanted clout, so they chose a side they thought would give them that.
  15. That's not a country I would want to visit now. If you decide to explore the towns where your ship docks, perhaps stay with a group of people. Good luck!
  16. It will be interesting to see who flinches first. Unfortunately, neither leaders care about their own people.
  17. I think we will be alright after the midterms. It has to be!
  18. The problem with you is that you are not very intelligent. You didn't understand a single point of my posts. I pointed out what caused swing voters to tilt the election. You can feel one way and still understand what motivates the others. I put you on ignore because you're not worth my brain cells. You can do the same and move one.
  19. This guy is hilarious.
  20. Ackman is getting what he deserves. He waged an all out war on DEI and thought Trump would help his cause.
  21. Back to economy. I have spurred with people who think tariffs will bring back the jobs and make America stronger in the long run. We already have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the world at around 4%. Will bringing back the manufacturing jobs make people switch from their higher paying service jobs to lower paying manufacturing jobs or are we just trying to find jobs for the 4% that's unemployed? Is reaching full employment even possible? Why does America need to compete with the likes of Bangladeshi and Vietnamese laborers? They say, well, we need a fair and balanced trade. They are putting tariffs on our products, so we need to retaliate until they come to the table. The reason these poor countries levy tariffs is to tax their rich on imported luxury goods. In Honduras, they charge ~40% tariffs on imported golf cart, not because they want to help their local producers. It's to tax their rich. They don't make golf carts. I think a lot of people, who never lived in those countries, understand this.
  22. It's a republican propaganda that resonated with the swing voters enough to put a mand man in office. Elections are dirty. You have to have a message that resonates with the swing voters (because majority doesn't matter anymore) or you spend the next four years crying about it.
  23. Did we "educate" them? Perhaps if we mock them more, they will learn their lesson. Are we willing to sink the boat so these people learn? I don't think you can change people and their beliefs.
