  1. Sharing phone plans, streaming services, etc. is incredibly common because it makes economic sense, and with the phone thing, most people probably never even stop and think about it after kids are out of the house. The amount of money at stake is so inconsequential and the practical reasoning so clear that being worried about whether or not someone is using their parents' cable login or whatever says a lot more about you than them.
As for the vacations, help with home purchases, whatever... That's the kind of stuff wealthy people have been doing forever. That's, you know, a lot of the point of wanting to be wealthy - to be able to provide a high standard of living and pass it down. OP, you mentioned you've taken loans from your parents. That's a handout. You can't get a zero interest loan with informal repayment terms on the open market, and you know damn well they didn't give you that money without being comfortable with the fact that they might not ever see it again. Don't be obtuse.

  2. He doesn’t get to watch many R rated movies. It’s R for goofy and absurd violence which I’m not
worried about him participating in and language. I let him watch the occasional movie with some cussing but tell him if I hear it never again. He seems to get that and doesn’t seem to be a cusser anyway.

    Fuck that.
  3. I don't consider myself a fan, but I've always liked Washington, and if it was my choice, that's where my daughter would go to college.

It’s an absolutely gorgeous campus . Lived in San Juan islands as a kid until I moved to TX in 7th grade. Fantastic school . One of my sons was down to there or the 40 acres for engineering. He did choose the good guys though.

  4. Because we are better than them.
I say that with the expectation that everyone plays. Obviously if Bijan, Ro and Keilan all sit out that’s a little different story.

Well, we’ve been watching two different teams I guess. I’m a die hard longhorn fan but we aren’t better than Washington . We might beat them ( so hard to predict bowl games-sit outs , motivations etc. ) but skull fucking anybody isn’t really in our playbook (OU excluded of course ).
  5. Quick question for the group. 57 here. Relatively good shape and no major issues. Do take a high bp and cholesterol statin.

My gp is kinda lazy and really doesn’t do much for me at my annual physical except look at ear nose throat, listens to heart with a stethoscope and taps my knee for reflex testing. Does do a basic blood test that has always come back normal in whatever it tests .

I’m reading this thread and seems like I need to ask for a couple of things

    1) ct scan
    2) more detailed bloodwork —what exactly should I have looked at beyond the basic bloodwork.

    What else am I missing?

I just want to make sure I’m getting the right things checked in the right level of detail for my age. Feels like my doc is just checking a box .

I have a high deductible plan, but do want to get as much looked at , preventively, at my next exam.

    Appreciate any insight.

  6. I bet I see more aggy shirts at HEB today than I have the last two months combined.  It's the way of the ag.

No shit. It’s been a glorious last two months here in the woodlands (aka aggy central). No maroon at all at heb, my gym etc. Guarantee all the fatass xxl maroon gear makes its way out in force this week. Fml

  7. Why would the fanbase be indifferent? We are coming off a win where we kicked ass and we still have a chance to win the conference title. Besides the fans have come hard and been awesome all year, I don't see any evidence they are indifferent.
You are talking like it is Texas who is 4-7 playing UMass and not trying to win what seems to me to be a big game.
