Thank goodness this is the last time we have to travel to this shit hole. Bunch of fucking felons throwing shit at players.

Exactly. @closetojumping the white trash and rednecks are closer to your neck of the woods.

The Horns keep moving up in civilized circles - SWC to Big XII to the SEC.

You're a fine visiting poster and all, but spare us any academic smack whatsoever. We're reluctantly now in this overhyped, hillbilly conference for the money and power, but we are not another one of the SEC open enrollment schools in which the degree is worth more as toilet paper than as a calling card in the workforce. Texas athletes do indeed have to play school.

All of that considered, there is no moral high ground here for Georgia and their graduation numbers for football players. It looks bad and it should be something the imbeciles running your program are trying to fix.

Lol, and how would you describe the SWC and Big XII? Or your state? You’re not Harvard or Stanford, fyi. 😄

Georgia looks to subscribe to the Jonesian philosophy of student athletics.

Yes, we should just hand degrees to athletes like so many others….

Only visited the once but it was a very cool place to watch a game and a great college town/campus.

Way off on the college town and campus aspect. 😁

So much of this. That vaunted SEC gauntlet has always been bullshit, especially when you consider they've always played only 8 games. Half of the teams went 6 or 7 or years without playing each other. I'm not sure how one can even refer to them as conference mates when they play each other so infrequently. How many years has Georgia gone without playing Bama or A&M? If anything, the schedule for SEC East teams will actually begin to approach the difficulty they've spent the last 15 years crowing about now that OU joined them alongside of us.

    A&M?? Cmon man!

Yeah, no one wants to hear Georgia play the world's smallest violin. They made their out of conference schedule with the inherent knowledge that winning the SEC with anything less than 2 losses gets them in, no questions asked, so why take the risk. They essentially created their own one game season and lost. Sorry, not sorry.

We had OU scheduled in Norman and the SEc canceled it. So we made our non conference schedule with two P5 programs on it, unlike most other SEC teams. And we do that every year.

Your conference slate was dogshit. Kentucky, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, Missouri and Ole Miss. there’s two good teams in that group and a whole lot of garbage. And Florida State pounded LSU in non conf while you guys were doing chcikenshit stuff like Ball State, UT Martin, and UAB for fuck’s sake. Pathetic.

the first team out absolutely should have been Georgia with an assist from Michigan for being such a bunch of fucking bitch made pussies in the OOC scheduling. I can’t stand that Michigan is getting rewarded for their weak shit.

Tenn, Mizzou and Ole Miss are each ranked and we played them consecutively, then we played Tech. Then the seccg. That was the hardest stretch anyone played all year.

We would be favored over any team in America on Dec 30.

Georgia’s non-conference was as bad or worse than Michigan’s. Florida State’s was way better than both.

Georgia played the toughest schedule of FSU and Mich. Nonconf win at GT was tougher than any nonconf Mich played. And our conf slate was obviously much tougher than either.

Well, yeah, but two byes sprinkled in there.  Clemson and GT as OOC opponents looks better on paper than it will likely be next year.

So are ucf and miami. If Travis doesn’t return, fsu won’t be good.

Clempson will be preseason top 15 if not 10. Tech will be much better and may be ranked by the time we play them. Our schedule is just as tough as UF’s.

    If not tougher.

Some guys have trouble grasping things right away and react by calling the thing they didn't understand dumb, lol. Not trying to contribute to the thread, but the amount of self-proclaimed superiority that is actually masking terror of the unknown is an ancient concept.

Yes, I’m sure that’s what it is.

I enjoy reading this thread and whatever other threads in which this map pops up. It's always the same cycle. One faction of posters is confused/angry and thinks it's really stupid. Another faction will staunchly defend the map to the ends of the earth while calling it simple and telling the other group that it's harmless fun. The argument then ensues for an additional 40 posts and then the discussion disappears for a month. It's like watching a funny rerun of Seinfeld or Cheers or something. I know what's going to happen, I know which characters will show up and what they'll say, and it's still good.

Some guys are super sensitive about the map, lol. Not trying to derail the thread, but the amount of insults is amazing for such a dumb concept. 😄

Jesus, this isn't a hard concept to grasp at how this map came to be (adding and subtracting shapes is tough I guess) and what it's worth is (which is zilch, it's just for fun).

Jesus, why does UGA not own east Tenn, central Fla, Atlanta, NW Miss, central SC, etc?

Don’t expect us to speak up about it. We’ll be accused of trying to come in and throw our weight around or of “destroying another conference.”

I’d figure the other SEC schools would have put a stop to it by now, but I guess that’s what “SEC! SEC! SEC!” is all about.

You’d be surprised how many programs don’t mind taking it up the ass from bham. Tenn, LSU and miss schools for starters.

  14. SEC setting it up so Ala can end any streaks UGA still has going by then despite the fact that we played in Tusca in 2020. Also get Texas in Austin the same weekend as that F1 stuff, so we can’t travel like we normally do.

A bama guy is in control of scheduling, so we expect nothing less. Mark Womack, 1982 Bama grad who helped engineer the perfectly laid out schedules during the Saban years since he took over in 2011.
