The Magicians did an episode called “A life in a day” where two characters are trapped in a pocket world and build an entire life and death together. It was also similarly very touching and well done.
I thought about that episode after watching episode 3 last week.

i sure feel like 99 degrees on the thermometer is "warm" for my sons. when i take my temp with the digital forehead thing, i'm never above 98. usually something like 97.2. so i assume anything 2 degrees higher than me is a fever, even though i probably run cold.
I listened to a podcast about this. The “normal” body temperature is based on almost no science at all. It was derived from a very small sample size without any real variables introduced.
It was codified into our collective consciousness because thermometer makers wanted to give people reasons to buy thermometers. They picked a number that someone gave them based on some cursory research and it became the known body temperature.
Found it:

My favorite new Aggy "truth" is that Jimbo isn't working the portal hard because if he were to do so, he would have to engage in tampering, and if he were tampering then the school would have a way to get out of his contract.
This morning's posts were gold @texifornia thanks for sharing. We should make you a perm poster.
I don’t think it’s the worst theory. You have to think Aggy is looking under every couch cushion to find a legal way to fire him with cause. Even a moron would understand that he’s under extra scrutiny and $80m dollars are at stake.

Bleacher Report ran a clickbait article last night about the Novosad flip to Oregon potentially happening (and it since has). They titled it in a way that implied that Arch Manning could be on flipwatch, and they included a picture of him in the subtitle area to drive clicks. I got two fucking texts last night from family members about it and had to tell them to wake the fuck up and stop wasting my time on nonsense.
What has transpired since is that aggie posters started positing that Manning was going to go elsewhere. It quickly gained steam right up until that moment when, you know, Manning undramatically signed his LOI and moved on with his day. The ATM Internet fans and their board moderators have to be the dumbest collection of sports fans on the net, and I say that knowing there are wrestling, Oklahoma, SEC and NFL forums out there.
Did anyone even stop to realize that his QB is his own son? Why would he pursue a highly ranked QB to create and QB controversy with his own kid?

This is my favorite:
Since aggy joined SEC in 2012,
- FLA as had Dan Mullen, Jim McElwain, and Boom as their HC. And as many losing seasons as double digit win seasons. Not exactly "at or near their peak"
- Auburn. was 2 years removed from their title and went 3-9 in 2012. They have 2 double digit win seasons and 3 losing seasons. Peak?
- Georgia. They have played Georgia exactly 1 time. In 11 years. In the same conference. Aggy played Vanderbilt 3x in the same time period. WTF?
Classic aggy - lower the bar and change the narrative. "When we joined the SEC it was a LOS league and big boy football. We weathered the storm of the greatest college football dynasties ever. TU and Okie are joining a watered down league. If they do good it will only because the SEC is weaker now. (unless they do bad, then it will be because TU and Okie are not used to the top to bottom meat grinder. )."
If the NEW SEC of so easy, why did they have the worst record in decades with the highest rated classes in their history?

What the fuck is going on on this page? It’s like they speak English, but only 50%. The weird grammar reads like a Google translation of a Texags.cn page.

per usual, I could only make it a couple of pages into a debate by those fucking weirdos, but there's some funny shit in there
selling insurance to Aggies.

Yes, and it went completely over A&M's head.
I'd like to think that Leach would appreciate the rubes using that quote posthumously specifically because they misunderstood or misrepresented it. Exactly as he intended.

At least they’ll win the Spring Game to build morale for next year. Yes - it is maroon vs white.
Hook’em!They’ll have both teams play both ways. It’ll just be burgundy vs. burgundy.

because they are shortsighted i assume they required him to leave TCU today before NSD1 and the CFP instead of playing the long(er) term game and let a guy come after CFP that you are willing to pay $2m / year
Would it have mattered? Why would he hitch his wagon to Jimbo? They're the laughing stock of CFB right now and he's currently seen as a major factor in TCU's Cinderella story. Other than the money, taking a job at A&M right now would be the exactly wrong move to make. If he can keep TCU running reasonably well after their draft losses this year he'll be in line for a decent HC job before that A&M contract would have expired.

My wild ass guesses.
There are now 2 stubs that matter. The original stub will stay relevant because Zubov has been ordered to kill anyone associated with that RI breach which would mean Connor, Burton and that whole stub. Connor and Burton are going to fight the Klept.
The other stub will have Flynne fighting Cherise. But it's all in the same London future, just from different stubs.
I guess Flynne died in the main stub. I'm guessing Lowbeer built Flynne a peripheral in same future London, contacted 2nd stub Flynne and told her what their plans are to take down Cherise. I guess that's how Flynne in 2nd stub is going to be part of the same future London. Maybe??????
SpoilerYeah. I’ll be interested to see how they handle it. It seems that the Flynne we see in the end scene with Lowbeer would have no knowledge or history of all the stuff that has happened to OG stub Flynne. Sort of starting over it seems.
Plus, wasn’t the stolen data stored in OG Flynne’s physical brain in that stub? So is that data lost now that she got shot?

I showed up to that Rose Bowl early in the morning with $1,000 in my pocket for one ticket, walked around the grounds for hours, asked every bus load of passengers that disembarked, and found not one ticket for sale at any price the entire day. Still have great memories of watching that game on your big TV. We might not have been inside the stadium, but we could hear and feel the roar of the crowd with every play. On 4th and 5, it felt like we had seats on the goal line and when VY scored, everyone was hugging each other in jubilation. Truly an unforgettable experience. Cheers.
My brother and I lived in LA at the time. We waited a week or so to see if prices would fall but just decided to bite the bullet because we figured their USC crowd was willing to pay a lot for the same reasons we were. No flight or hotel expenses. Just ticket prices.
One of the best decisions of my life.
