Since aggy joined SEC in 2012,

    • FLA as had Dan Mullen, Jim McElwain, and Boom as their HC.  And as many losing seasons as double digit win seasons.  Not exactly "at or near their peak"
    • Auburn. was 2 years removed from their title and went 3-9 in 2012.  They have 2 double digit win seasons and 3 losing seasons.  Peak?
    • Georgia.  They have played Georgia exactly 1 time.  In 11 years.  In the same conference.    Aggy played Vanderbilt 3x in the same time period. WTF?

Classic aggy - lower the bar and change the narrative.  "When we joined the SEC it was a LOS league and big boy football.  We weathered the storm of the greatest college football dynasties ever.   TU and Okie are joining a watered down league.  If they do good it will only because the SEC is weaker now. (unless they do bad, then it will be because TU and Okie are not used to the top to bottom meat grinder. )."

If the NEW SEC of so easy, why did they have the worst record in decades with the highest rated classes in their history?

Yes, and it went completely over A&M's head.

I'd like to think that Leach would appreciate the rubes using that quote posthumously specifically because they misunderstood or misrepresented it. Exactly as he intended.

because they are shortsighted i assume they required him to leave TCU today before NSD1 and the CFP instead of playing the long(er) term game and let a guy come after CFP that you are willing to pay $2m / year

Would it have mattered? Why would he hitch his wagon to Jimbo? They're the laughing stock of CFB right now and he's currently seen as a major factor in TCU's Cinderella story. Other than the money, taking a job at A&M right now would be the exactly wrong move to make. If he can keep TCU running reasonably well after their draft losses this year he'll be in line for a decent HC job before that A&M contract would have expired.

    My wild ass guesses.

There are now 2 stubs that matter. The original stub will stay relevant because Zubov has been ordered to kill anyone associated with that RI breach which would mean Connor, Burton and that whole stub. Connor and Burton are going to fight the Klept.

The other stub will have Flynne fighting Cherise. But it's all in the same London future, just from different stubs.

I guess Flynne died in the main stub. I'm guessing Lowbeer built Flynne a peripheral in same future London, contacted 2nd stub Flynne and told her what their plans are to take down Cherise. I guess that's how Flynne in 2nd stub is going to be part of the same future London.  Maybe??????

    Spoiler

Yeah. I’ll be interested to see how they handle it. It seems that the Flynne we see in the end scene with Lowbeer would have no knowledge or history of all the stuff that has happened to OG stub Flynne. Sort of starting over it seems.

Plus, wasn’t the stolen data stored in OG Flynne’s physical brain in that stub? So is that data lost now that she got shot?

I showed up to that Rose Bowl early in the morning with $1,000 in my pocket for one ticket, walked around the grounds for hours, asked every bus load of passengers that disembarked, and found not one ticket for sale at any price the entire day. Still have great memories of watching that game on your big TV. We might not have been inside the stadium, but we could hear and feel the roar of the crowd with every play. On 4th and 5, it felt like we had seats on the goal line and when VY scored, everyone was hugging each other in jubilation. Truly an unforgettable experience. Cheers.

My brother and I lived in LA at the time. We waited a week or so to see if prices would fall but just decided to bite the bullet because we figured their USC crowd was willing to pay a lot for the same reasons we were. No flight or hotel expenses. Just ticket prices.

One of the best decisions of my life.

I don't think there's any consciousness transplantation going on.  I think she opened a new tunnel to a year before the events of this series began and link up the peripheral with herself in that time.  From that point forward, she and the group will proceed along a new timeline, a different stub from the one that ends in her getting shot.

    Spoiler

That's an interesting plot. So from "our" Flynne's perspective, she really was willing to die. I wonder if we'll see anything from this original stub going forward or if we'll just start the season in the new stub and get to know the versions of those characters there? Seems like the brother and friend from this OG stub would still be able to beam in and interact with the alternate Flynne if the folks in New London want them to.

We’re 2 eps in and enjoying it. So far story is compelling, CGM is hot, and I like diving into the visions of both the near future and distant future. I’ll probably rewatch to catch bits and pieces of future life. Don’t understand all the haptics shit yet.

The haptics are possibly the easiest part to understand. Seems like the military In the timeline has developed a way to link the sense of teams of soldiers so they can work in unison. But the technology is somewhat primitive and causes the implanted soldiers pain. These guys were all together in the war so they still have a haptic connection between them.
