every fucking run we have to juke someone in the backfield

It was stupid to accept that ineligible player downfield penalty with the way the defense has been playing. As soon as it happened I knew they’d get more than 5 yards on first down. Got 55.
so it actually made no fucking difference at all

they had an Olineman block an Dlineman and then a linebacker, holy fucking shit is that legal? we should try that.

Contact honestly looked incidental to me wrt ljh pi. But we’re gonna be dealing with make up calls the rest of the day after the ejection

Anyone else think we're not playing to Ingram's strengths by going zone read with him?

God I hope your being sarcastic? The guy has lost three games total since his hire. One of which was in the playoffs against “a super duper powerhouse we play the best defense in the world SEC team” in Georgia. Not only did they hang +30 points on that defense, they pretty much stopped the dick munches on ESPN from making those statements about Big12 teams in general. That incompetent Stoops gets ONE stop in that Georgia game, ONE, and it’s ou, not Georgia playing Alabama. Who by the way was probably a better match up. Considering that over the last 20 years ou has a better record against Alabama then Georgia, and has played them almost as many times (you got to love that SEC scheduling).
Then he has a loss against us, by 3 on a last second field goal. A game that I will always argue is the most competitive rivalry game of all. Simply because how many times the favorite has been beaten.
Only last years ISU game stands out. But again. One tends to look more at Stoops competence then Riley’s role. Had ou been able to get a Texas like effort from their guys that day they don’t lose that game. So overall nothing could be farther from the truth in comparing Riley to fucking Mac version I.
Yes, as devils advocate you can accurately call out the fact those are Bob’s players. But you can’t bitch about what he has done with them. But bringing in Ruffin, a guy who will have a far better relationship with those players suggests they will get better. Their game today, at night, National TV, on the road, will pretty much tell us if they have improved under Ruffin. If they go to Lubbock and cover the spread (it’s at -14.5 as I write this) they should win out and make the playoffs. If not it won’t matter to us as we will probably play Moonshine Madness in the CG. Which I believe is a better match up. Beating WV twice seems a little more realistic then beating ou twice.
holy fuck, responding to a quote from month ago

Not that I'm a huge fan of how Hager has played (and am even less impressed with his antics between snaps and off the field), but Hager did suffer an SC sprain during the game, for what it's worth.
he should quit playing red rover in the middle of a football game.

Every time Texas loses I come to this board and see a litany of posts that blame the loss on X. There seems to be this profound human need to ascribe blame whenever something bad happens. X could be Hager, it could be Boyd, it could be Herman, it could be bad calls that went against us ....it could be anything.
My question is, what if it's all of those things, plus Y, with Y being unknowable? What if it's NONE of those things except Y? What if it's simply that the universe is randomly chaotic?
It's just going to get worse now that we're starting to give a shit again

Well finally was able to create my account (gd spam folder). Lurked a while but this thread pissed me off enough to actually post something. I rewatched the game this morning after everyone was bitching about BH. Guess who the leading solo tackler was last night? Guess who had 2 tfl? Defensive leaders were Gary Johnson and BH. Bunch of dumb mfers on here. Lots of bad play to bitch about but this dude sold out last night.
damnit Breckyn, quit rushing with your eyes closed you dumbass

Based on FSU play, if they just waited one year they probably could have got Jimbo for less than $5m a year
they could have got him for that this year, dude was done at FSU

Well I'm sure other players cared, but Hager was the one I noticed through his play on the field minus they last few minutes. He did miss some tackles but it was obvious he was struggling to tackle because he had some sort of shoulder or arm injury. I'm just saying I like the fire I saw out of him throughout the game. I did not see that from anybody in the secondary. They all looked scared and unprepared for this game.
He ran by a ball carrier and tried to grab him with his right hand and jacked his shoulder up

It's almost like Orlando got pantsed tonight. He failed to adjust for basically an entire half. 3-man DL slanting on every snap and DBs playing 8-10 yards off and backpedaling at the snap.
Blaming Hager for doing what the call asked him to do is absurd.
you just like his hair
