Am i the only one that thought the double hands to the face on Son should have been a foul?
No, and Dawson's shithousery went largely unpunished all afternoon.
I forgot who it was that also got a forearm to the face in the first half while on the ground. Porro or Johnson, can't remember.
That's not why we lost though. We lost because we turtled after the first goal and Wolves stayed on the front foot.
Gonna be a long break for 2 weeks.

Let's see what the international break brings. Postecoglou is going to have to widen his player pool. I think some of the players on the outs can help.
Some of the players on the outs are going to be too tough to break away from Conte ball to play Ange's style. Unfortunately, we don't have a choice. I don't know how many times today Hojbjerg failed to press the attack with his passing, but it seemed he was constantly passing backwards. We don't have a metronome in the midfield for Ange's style of play without Maddison. And fucking Bissouma has gone off the rails. This felt like a PTSD flashback to earlier in 2023 when Antonio was ready to punch out.
The only hope is that Lo Celso can turn a corner. I thought Dier was fine, and Davies was fine. Should get Udogie back after the break which will be a big help.
Watching Wolves play was like watching Spurs from just a few weeks ago.

Jesus fucking Christ.
It's going to be a long fucking time until February.
-
Could see that coming. Way too casual.
-
It's just a matter of time before Wolves score. We haven't looked this bad since Conte.
It's understandable given who we're missing, but still.

COYS!!!
Let's get all three here and go into the international break on a high.
BJ!!!!!!!
That's how we respond to Monday!!!

Holy shit. Madders injury much worse than initially thought. Ange said a couple of months for him.
Mickey out for a couple of months as well.
Motherfucker!
-
Hearing Mickey had a similar injury that kept him out 10 weeks. Hopefully, he's back sooner.

He failed to get the match under control when Romero was going crazy. Guy cost us this game.
Yeah, and the Reece James elbow should have been a red.

I just got to Austin.
Romero is a fucking idiot.
Yes he is and the red is deserved, but Oliver failed to get the match under control early on. He didn't come back and talk to Romero or Thiago after Romero got hit in the back and Romero kicked out at him. There's been pushing and shoving and chirping the entire first half. Even Ange got a yellow. The constant VAR checks got everyone on the pitch frustrated.
And now we're down to 9. Fan-fucking-tastic.
-
We need reinforcements in the January transfer period. Otherwise it's Europa...Conference.
-
The season just went pear-shaped.
No help from the EPL with our fucked up schedule. Monday afternoon, Friday afternoon, Monday afternoon.
I can't see Mickey coming back until January.
-
Wolves, Villa, and City are the matches that Romero will miss. Well done Oliver, well done.
-
Absurd how VAR is being used.

DZ was slow and boring. Great cinematography.
Great music

If we're talking about a 3 picture run, I'll submit David Lean.
The Bridge on the River Kwai - 1957
Lawerence of Arabia - 1962
Doctor Zhivago - 1967
DZ was MGM's second highest grossing movie of 1967 behind the Sound of Music, after being panned by critics.
Pretty good list.

Enjoyable watch, thanks for posting.
I thought it was great that he said he read the Washington Post every day, "mainly for The Far Side".
Tom comes off as very likeable.

In 1984, after coaching Michael Jordan on the gold-medal-winning U.S. Olympic team, Portland general manager Stu Inman called Knight for advice on the upcoming NBA draft. Knight counseled Inman to take Jordan, calling Jordan the best basketball player he had ever seen. Inman told Knight the Blazers already had Clyde Drexler and needed a center. Knight responded, "Then play Jordan at center."

John Thompson probably had the most accurate line on Coach Knight.
He said, "We often confuse being good to someone with being good for someone".
