I don’t know anything but thought that PK was sort of content as maybe a coordinator.
I’m 95% sure you’re correct. PK has no interest in head coaching last I heard. He very well could get paid more as a DC elsewhere if the defense keeps it. -
I made a mistake and listened to FCBs podcast. If you hate him now have a listen. Apparently UTSA is the second coming of Georgia and Alabama combined. Damn FCB is fucking idiot. I just want to poke myself in ears with a stick. I’m now dumber for having listened to that.
You were clearly a dumbass to start with if you willingly chose to listen to FCB. Getting dumber won’t change much.-

Such a weird post. Alabama is bad, Texas can't possibly be good is your takeaway from the game?
I think LlamaBamaDingDong is saying Bama is going to get beat up in the SEC and won’t make the playoff. Nothing directly disparaging about Texas.-

I very much want Card to help us go 3-0 here, but all of our offensive success statistics got much worse once he replaced Ewers. It's not a competition anymore, he's a nice backup.
Good thing UTSA, Tech, and WVU are not Alabama. A game manager will probably be enough, wright? Tech looks likes the scariest stop, so we’ll see. -
I am rewatching the game and I am amazed about how dirty Bama played in the 1st quarter alone. Three plays stand out:
1) Blatant Pass Interference on Sanders in the Endzone, cost us a TD!
2) The Facemask on Worthy on the long completion. Worthy caught the long ball despite the interference and facemask!
3) The body slam that took QE out of the game when he was shredding Bama’s D. It was a deliberate hit to injure our quarterback and take him out of the game.
Bama played dirty! Fuck Bama in their cheating asses! And fuck Saban for being a dirty cheating AssHat! An fuck the whole state of Alabama!
i hope we play them again with some decent Refs and beat the ever living shit out of them!
On my rewatch i saw a similar trend. My thought was that they look like they’re taught to foul if they get beat… just like basketball of old. It was just way more apparent this game because our guys were beating them all the time be it scheme, talent, and/or effort.
And FDT.-

Has that guy ever made a post or column that did not mention Texas in some way?

no way, he's terrible, maalik murphy is clearly better and needs to start.
Good thing MM is “injured”. -
This may be too much sunshine, but I just rewatched the first quarter. Ewers was shredding Alabama in his second college start. His arm talent was on full display. Dudes got a good shot at being a UT hall of famer.
Through the first half, up until he’s injured, Card looked better than I expected as well… so there’s that. Iron sharpening iron? -
I don’t think I’ve ever seen weight throw a pass.
I have. He played for Kentucky. They called him Hefty Lefty.-

I can't understand how this chop against Coburn was missed. That's a really dangerous play.
Well, it's because it wasn't missed. It just wasn't called.

Texas: 45
UTSA: 6
Defensive Yards: 235 yds
I know that Jeff Traylor is TXHS legend, but his Roadrunners will be turned into roadkill this weekend. This isn't because Texas is taking out rage from last week; it's because Texas has turned the page on what it takes to win. Winning isn't about gameday; winning is about how you prepare for gameday. Winning is about getting up on Monday, sore as hell, putting on your practice uniform, pushing hard for yourself and the guys next to you, and then doing it again on Tuesday, Wednesday, and so forth. The coaches are there to lead the horses to water. This year, it feels like the horses are actually drinking the water.
Sarkisian has flat out said that he owes his renewed career to Saban. That wasn't coach speak prior to the Alabama game. It wasn't an attempt to soften the enemy. It is because he now understands what it takes to build, to lead, and to win due to watching Saban do it day-in and day-out.
I want this to be true and think it's real. It feels right. I don't think this is the remarkable one year turn-around that ends up with UT in the playoff. The team may not even make the CCG, but they will fight, be competitive in conference, and first, they will stomp UTSA.
-
Alabama gets the benefit of the doubt every year because after close wins or losses they come out and boat race the next team. We need to have that culture. We need to boat race UTSA with our third string QB because we can.
This is the week we prove we belong in the conversation, not last week.-

You laid money on Texas outright? I'd Sooner have expected hell to freeze over.

I really think the answer is both PK and GP have led to defensive improvements. However, GP is more of a special assistant to the head coach versus just a defensive mind. GP helps on both sides of the ball both in practice and in game planning. We're lucky to have him for this year, and we should give our support to PK until proven otherwise. GP is gone after this year, regardless (Nebraska?).
I have been in wait and see mode, but I think we're on the cusp of both Sark and PK haters eating a bit of crow.

I think the coaches and player leaders know how to lead this team. I'll not be surprised when we go out and crush UTSA.
"Want another shot at Alabama and that dirty fucker Dallas Turner? Crush every other team and we'll get our chance."

Don't know that I like that. You want hungry, not satisfied after a loss.
Go away.
Our boys should absolutely be proud of themselves… pissed but proud. Rest up and bring it Monday. Take this performance and channel it into the domination we put all over UTSA.
Also, you’re a moron for suggesting we shouldn’t move up in rankings after losing. Aggie and Notre Dame lost to far inferior teams. We took the number one team in the nation to the last 10 seconds and did it with our backup QB. Style points matter.-

No.. that was a 20 yard deep out to the field side and he just flipped the ball. It looked like he was just throwing it to a back in the flat. That was a Josh Allen/Mahommes type throw
Both were super impressive throws. Ewers looks like the real deal. Come back soon, please!-

you can't tell me his calf or the side of his leg wasn't touching the ground
It’s over. Refs are undefeated. It resulted in a short field that we used to get three points and take time off the board.
You want to be pissed? Let the hate grow for ‘Bama’s dirty fucking play. That Dallas Turner hit was absolutely meant to hurt Ewers. It’s a dangerous and dirty play that shouldn’t be okay. With Ewers, we win that game and they know it. Colt injury was a legal play, Ewers was not.-

ND losing and Aggie struggling, maybe losing, is nothing but great for us with recruiting. Dang good day even with the loss and Ewers being hurt

If we do get him, can we please influence some upperclassman to give him that nickname? I really want to type that for three years.
