  1. Do like the Rice "one and dones" though. I can see a world where we use other schools as "farm clubs" to let the cream rise to the top and take the best players for a year or two after they have some experience and have proven themselves. Worked this year. Our experience of the freshman has not been great. (ok Durant was kinda fun)
  2. Paper said Quin Snyder was strongly considered by Texas before he became head coach for the Atlanta Hawks. @chemHORN got that correct. His lovely wife Amy has a Ph.D. from the University of Texas. I can see two good reasons to have considered Quin.
  3. She seemed to be hurt a lot but was a great teammate. Easy to root for, I hope she finds a place to her liking. Thank you Femme.
  4. Tom used to spin his coat out onto the floor. Getting a tech with style. 😎
  5. He absolutely did. I don’t think he’s the right guy either but impossible to hate, seems like a really solid dude who has worked hard for us. I hope he succeeds. I could see the biggest danger being mediocrity. If he succeeds – that’s best-case scenario, if it falls apart quickly OK, we move on. But if it’s just good enough to not change but not good enough to have a chance at the big prize that can be a greater issue and harder to get past. Lots of ball to play though, and we of all fans know how quickly things can change. The king is dead, long live the king.
  6. Gutted. Deepest, most mature team we've ever had, easily our best shot ever to win the whole damn thing. Top seeds out, it was there for the taking. Really going to miss Rice and Carr, going to take a while to get over this one and appreciate how great this season actually was.
  7. They had a great game plan and very good shooters. We needed to adjust.
  8. I haven't been paying attention to football for a long time. Had no idea Ed was Brock Cunningham's father.
