So, is this war gonna be wrapped up before January ‘25 and our support swings to Russia?
There’s a good chance of some kind of resolution by this fall. Russia cutting off gas, EU gas in storage already at lower levels means there will be increased push for Ukraine to reach some kind of negotiated settlement.

Ah yes, that perfect form of money that requires no trust. No trust that others will accept it. No trust that prices will stay stable. No trust that the repositories that hold it will stick around or actually do their jobs. No trust required whatsoever. Fucking idiot.
Wow what a shame. I thought we could count on you.
I’ll still be here when you educate yourself and finally come around.

A couple interesting things this morning
Also, interesting seeing Summers putting actual estimates on how much economic slowing is needed to bring down inflation.

Trust the central banks. At least he admits it’s a confidence game.
What happens when people en masse decide they don’t trust them? 🧐
If only there was a form of money that was trustless

Wasn’t sure the best place to put this.
Price controls/caps typically lead to shortages. Looks like they’re trying to structure this differently. Carved out price caps, utilizing insurers to enforce it. We’ll see

I'm not aware of Arch releasing a Top 3 - I know that he spoke with Sam Spiegelman and it was clear from that interview that Texas, Georgia, and Alabama were his top3, but I don't remember him releasing anything 'official'. Can you link the tweet?

Like bailouts from the Federal Government? Is there so much money in that stuff they're "too big to fail?"

No. I think he means amongst big players in the space. He might be the biggest.
It’s all about setting the precedent though and then if this stuff gets systemically important levels then you get bailed out. He’s a massive political donor. Trying to set up the crony game.
I can’t stand it. Let the degens own their mistakes and burn. I don’t care how much the price dumps. Clear out their leverage so we can see where we’re at.

Because Trump has never ridden a bike in his life, but we do have this...
You’re either a 9 yo or have an IQ OF 9.
And that’s funny. And people laughed at it.
Biden had a fall from standing. At a planned photo op. Now that we know he’s ok, also funny.

I'd love to see your work on the printing of money bit since we printed more under Trump than Biden.
We don’t have any pics of Trump falling off a bike. Also we don’t have Trump blaming Putin for inflation. just Biden.
Here’s another good one.

Not so decentralized finance
The proposal went through.
also, look at Sam from FTX. Talking bailouts. Crypto taking the fiat mindset, let’s fire up some moral hazard. That’s the system we’re trying to get away from.

Also they’re closing more nuclear plants soon. Nonsensical.

You are describing your behavior which I certainly don't have any problem with, it's your money. But you keep saying this is based on historical principles which is bullshit - there is no history of bitcoin in a bear market / end of a debt cycle. It may perform awesomely - I suspect not but definitely not going to claim I know. So I'm not saying you or others should or shouldn't buy more. Just be honest about what is speculation vs what is grounded in history.
I’m using bitcoin to hedge.
I didn’t say Bitcoin has a history in this situation. I think you’re misreading what I’ve said. Perhaps I worded it poorly.

I agree SA is brutal dictatorship that has committed humans rights atrocities for years and the US relationship with SA is embarrassing. I wish would cut all ties, but we can’t because renewables are for pussies, right oil barons? Anyway, attacking Biden for this visit is disingenuous considering the Presidential history.
You could argue he flip flopped on his campaign rhetoric which is true, but Russia invaded Ukraine causing a spike in oil prices. (please don’t make me get oil demand and oil supply graphs to prove this, I’m lazy)You have the American public blaming Biden for high prices and ridiculing him for trying to fix high oil prices. It’s a stupid world filled with stupid people
So what are his options?
1. Let Russia commit genocide and end all sanctions.
2. Mandate all US production must be sold in the US3. Release oil reserves knowing they won’t do shit and flip flop on campaign rhetoric and whore yourself to SA begging for more production
If there is another option, I’m all ears. I’m being sincere. I’m all for lowering gas prices.
Real life and memes are converging.

So historically, how has cryptocurrency performed in a time of high inflation and/or recession that gives you such confidence. I mean, given that this has actually never happened, how can you possibly cite history?
We are a heavily indebted nation at the end of a debt super cycle. That’s what I’m hedging against.

We need money for the next century’s pandemic?
And how much money is really still needed for children’s Covid vaccinations? The percentage of under 5 year olds getting the new approved vaccines will be quite small
