His problem wasn't that Pete made fun of his eyepatch, it was how Pete described it.  He literally said, "I guess he lost it in like war, or, whatever."

It was Pete's callous description of the injury that was the issue.  I think Pete's funny and I loved the bit they did together, but I've never heard anyone, even a stoned liberal misanthropic millennial, use the phrase, "In like war, or whatever."  It was beyond flippant, like after they wrote the bit (which again wasn't offensive to me)...I think Pete went and got high and then put his own "I'm too alt.comedy to even know how casualties happen in battle" so he goes and puts that tag on the end of it about like war or whatever.  That's the part that got people agitated.

Anyway, moving on.  I'm killing time waiting on takeout tonight and I realized it's been a long time since that made an SNL skit into a movie...And rightfully so!  Other than Blues Brothers, Wayne's World, and arguably Night at the Roxbury, they have all been abysmal failures in every respect and were not remotely funny.  But I know I'd pay to see a movie about Eric Trump & Donald Jr. based on their SNL appearances (you can obviously get cameos from Cecily as Melania, Baldwin as Trump, and maybe a few others...but the idea is to not let Baldwin dominate the film).  Not sure what would happen plot-wise in the movie, but the Act III reveal is that Eric was the one pulling the strings on the business and the presidency the whole time and just acting dumb.  He is actually brilliant, sinister, a puppet master and used his inheritance/salary to go off and secretly accumulate a $100bn net worth in private deals off the grid.  But lots of laughs and hijinks along the way.

    That sounds terrible.

My contention is that Trump was under investigation for, as you said it, "possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia", since March of 2016. This is a true statement.

    Regardless, no collusion. Fin.

    Ok, cool.

My engineer has a Traeger and loves it (and has done bbq competitions in the past, he’s not a rookie) and he talked my boss in to one and he loves it too. I’ve been considering one for the tailgate due to portability but never used one. I have a large BGE which is decidedly not portable.

My engineer did say that you have to keep them clean or the fire can back up the feeder tube and potentially set the whole pellet box ablaze.

For tailgating, check this grill out.

Nope. I don’t engage  Cruz voters/loony right wingers at all. Just do all I can to make sure they lose at the polls.

I'd of told the old sob that I already voted for Beto 5 times and plan on voting for him numerous times Tuesday.

Luke Cage was the start of the decline.  Loved the actor and he was great in Jessica Jones season 1 but the story for LC was too slow to develop and the villain wasn't a fair fight.

Iron Fist and Defenders were bad.

I finished JJ Season 2 last night and was pretty disappointed with how it ended.   They made the story too predictable after midseason.

I watched DD 1 and 2, do I need to watch Defenders before DD 3?

Yes I do. And I’m pissed after hearing there was a way to confidentially investigate this before outing Dr. Ford.  I had no idea about that.  Because that should have been done to assess the matter before outing her.  Not sitting and waiting.  And springing it last second.

I’m not the only one those bastards have motivated.

A lot of my friends are pissed. And ready to write checks.  My wife and I are maxing out tomorrow in support of Senator Cruz.  Game on.

Yeah, that’s not going to happen.  Let me rephrase... Trump will try to bury it, but no way in hell something that important doesn’t get seen by everyone and their dog.

Oh I agree that will not happen, but procedural process actually gives that avenue a possible cover in trump talking points. I think the media could be keeping their powder dry for that battle.

That little graph you posted at the top of the page?  That is part of your answer.

Omarosa and the other stuff is more entertaining, and more easily digestible than some of the other stuff.  Media gotta pay the bills.

But I think they are sitting on a lot of stuff as well for whatever reason.  Perhaps waiting until the cases/indictments/etc. drop.

Rumor circulating around DC is that when Mueller releases his report to the Justice Dept, Trump will try to bury it so congress doesn't see it.

I keep hearing that but I don’t like to suffer through an entire season of mediocrity for a show to turn good. Most good shows start out good and occasionally fizzle towards the end. Justified apparently did it backwards and the first season was so cringeworthy that I gave it up.

    Your loss.
