Eh you don’t go to jail for that.

And then take it to a different inspection station if possible.
Just bring some cash to the inspection station. Worked for me in NC.

This. 4 of last year’s top 10 transfers were from non-power conferences. Looks like about 7 of the top 20 this year are non-power conference guys
I feel like these transfers are a better bet than a high school kid who is not a stud.

I have a patient on Medicaid with a new liver. Is that rare?
Not necessarily. I feel like what weeds most people out who are poor are socioeconomic things earlier like access to a doctor and regularly seeing a doctor which all go into the evaluation (I’ve had patients who are always late to doctor since they take the bus and people who evaluate them get nervous that it means they are unreliable. Then you have to go to bat for them). If you are poor and can’t afford gas or trips to doctor to be evaluated then that weeds people out. So if you have Medicaid but are getting access then totally possible.
Part of the justification is we shouldn’t be giving organs to people who can’t take care of them after the surgery. You can define “can’t take care of them” how you like. It’s an interesting world.

No gubment insurance allowed
I mean I have seen Medicaid in an illegal alien who paid taxes every year and had a TIN get an organ after fundraising 50k in an escrow account. So yea it’s wild.
If you are too old you just don’t get listed.

I’m sure they won’t be as much outrage if the fatties and olds got bumped, but if it’s for things like race or income level then people will be pissed.
The poor people don’t make the list. The first thing you do is a “wallet check” and make sure they can afford all the care.

I lived in Cherry Creek Village for a year-and-a-half and don’t feel like any parents in that section of Denver South would want their kid anywhere near Deion.
Just sayin’

Yea I hear ya. I guess the point still stands that any coach at CU should make the effort (and in all fairness maybe he does we just don’t know).
Let’s also be real that Cherry Creek start football players aren’t from the nice suburbs of Denver. They get “recruited”.

I am not sure CU is at the level of "locking down" anything. Maybe just target a winning record first.
You are correct. I guess by lock down I mean the basics like a lower level position coach at their games each week.

I'll probably jinx myself with this, but I have had no problems with a BMW. I figure these days there is a slim chance of anything catastrophic first 3- 5 years while under manufacturer warranty. After that it is all about preventative maintenance. It may also help that I don't drive that much in a year (6k is what I calculated).

I don't think Deion could identify a quality offensive lineman if he was standing right in front of him. The dude is all about flash, he never spent 10 seconds during his life thinking about offensive lineman.
I agree. Denver Post had best Colorado high school football players. Few are athletic enough to play big time high school ball. However there are some linemen getting looks and none committed to CU. You would think you lock down Cherry Creek if you are the CU coach.

I think we all know how this ends. Rodney Terry wins a national championship next year. Or Chris Beard gets hired again. There is no third plan.

SRAM AXS. I rode a friends gravel bike with electronic shifting and it was pretty slick. It's not necessary for me nor will it make me a better rider, but a lot of manufacturers are only including that in their higher end models now. I don't plan on upgrading my MTB with it but I will enjoy it on my gravel.
Any time. I live in North Boulder and ride the front range between Lyons and Morrison typically.
Just make sure to tell everyone how awful it is in CO after you move here
Nice I've done some road riding and racing there in the past. Deer Creek Canyon is one I am looking to reconnect with.

In March of this year my company announced a reorg. It was our 2nd in 12 months and 3rd in 48 We were also on our 3rd president in three years. They shut down the function I led and asked me to lead another group which didn't interest me. I countered and asked them what a severance package would look like. As of March 29th, I am being paid by this employer not to work for 6 months.
I live in the foothills of the Rockies in Colorado and the weather is starting to get great. I am going to take the spring/summer to bike, hike 14ers, camp as much as possible. I signed up for two 50+ mile mtb/gravel races to provide some training goals. The plan is to ride 4 to 5 times a week and see how much I can develop over the next 4 months. Rode 4x this week logging ~100 miles between gravel and single track. Also, since I imagine this will be my only work sabbatical before retirement, I decided I should do it right and I am on a waitlist for a new gravel bike with electronic shifting (first for me).
Apologies in advance, but you may have to stare at a few not ugly photos in the upcoming months.
Well if you need a riding buddy this summer I'm moving to Colorado.

Um it’s just the internet you know. Not real life.
I will say for a football school, the basketball board is way too intense. Even in the dark ages of near end of career Mack Brown and Strong and Herman the football board was coherent and fun. Didn’t Deloss tell CDC that only two sports matter at Texas- football and baseball.

If I'm too old and/or demented to watch Texas football and and not know if Texas is playing, I want a shot of morphine and not bankrupting my family.

Low key good week of racing this week. Catalunya, Brugge De Panne today, COppi e Bartali (unfortunately not on TV, but I think on Youtube?), E3 Harelbeke or Saxo or, whatever the fuck it's called now, Friday and Gent Wevelgem on Sunday.
Eurosport on YouTube has been great.

How do we square these sanctions with asking Ukraine not to target Russian refineries? Is our hope that they stop exporting and their economy stops or not?! this half measure bullshit where western countries dont increase production of equipment but we allow Russia’s economy to carry on and transition to war time production is probably not going to end well.
I agree. I think the fear is that if Ukraine started blowing up all oil production then Putin would use a nuclear weapon. But now that the war has dragged on and Putin is just waiting out our election and American public sentiment, I think we need to let Ukraine go all in. Otherwise what was the point.
