it was all there but  Urban's request to replace Galindo on Rewind was a bridge too far.

You don't just replace the Keith Jackson of LHN, who the hell does Urban think he is?

I hate to say it but TAMU vs tOSU would be insane ratings and makes a whole lot of sense for the "situation" both frozen out of CCG but ranked 4/5 as the final "play in" spot.

A&M would get ran. Aggie tears are always fun but the fuckeyes are just as bad. Quite honestly it'd be a much better ending if a sink hole opened up and swallowed both.

I’m not hopping off the Urban train.

Mainly because my source has indicated that if the Urban deal doesn’t get done, Tom will be back. He also indicated that CDC’s seat is gonna get hot if this doesn’t happen. I don’t see this saga ending for a few weeks

Yeah well my source is a squid and he said.

Would the donors you know get excited about the potential for beating OU?  Because Campbell has proven that he can do it with inferior talent.  Herman proved he can't do it with a Senior QB, when OU has it's worst team in god knows how long.  Again, I think this fact in and of itself allows CDC enough leverage to raise funds to kick Herman to the curb at this point.  Keeping him around is the definition of insanity.  I'm all for trying something new and different at this point.  Is our next coach guaranteed to be a great hire.  No, but at least I'm telling you there's a chance.   And 22 is a big time recruiting year.  You have to pull the trigger to get some momentum.  Anyone other than Herman at this point has a better shot at getting some quality players in the door.  And hell, maybe if Campbell is hired, he can bring some LB and TE from Iowa State with him in the one-time transfer window this year.

I'm not sticking up for Herman. He did lose to one of the worst OU teams in recent memory. But he also beat one of the better OU teams in recent memory. In fact was beating the shit out of them til he went full turtle in the 4th. That '18 season fluffed his ego a little to much imo. He knows he plays down to his opponents, admitted it to Joel Klatt. But the fucker refuses to do anything about it...like letting his coordinators do there job. I'm not counting KSU as any sort of revelation.

That’s badass. You hate to throw a flag with 4 seconds left on a deep ball, but that was absolutely pass interference. For all the “oh those poor kids”’ on one side, there’s an equal amount of “oh that’s awesome for those kids” on the other

Yeah the whole "Oh those poor kids" thing goes out the window when you get a punt blocked in the closing seconds thinking you have the game won.

Why does Mike Barnes need to remind everybody, potentially including Akers' grieving family, that Akers wasn't well liked?  Just say everything you said after the comma in that sentence.  Or maybe you're the asshole?

Yep what a huge p.o.s. "Sorry for your loss but nobody really liked him anyway..." the shit people say man

You guys are still in?  Lol

Yep, no disrespect to people here who claim to  have sources. I'm of the opinion nobody knows shit including the 9.95ers. But yet yall take their word as gospel and eat that shit up anytime it's negative. But shit on them if it's something positive. Like I said until Herman is retained or someone else other than UM is named as HC. I'm on the UM train til it derails for good.

You have a link or are they just sourcing the same shit everyone else is?

Sourcing the same shit as everyone else. High quality journalism if you ask me

DMN is pretty homer for UT sports, so if they threw in the towel for CUM, then I'm guessing more likely than not, CUM isn't happening.

Wrong. They're basically an OU propaganda machine

@immamac  We need to have an annual awards show:

    Poster of the year

    Shitbag of the year

    Rookie of the year

Homosexual (NTTIAWWT) poster of the year

OFf topic poster of the year, etc

Futureman has these two awards on lock. Hard to see anyone else knocking him off.

Meyer was supposedly after the Dallas job.  So, it's us

That was essentially shot down by Shelley in that interview posted about a week ago. She said she could never see him coaching in the NFL.

KU wasn't the last game of the season in 2016. He was fired whether he beat TCU or not over Thanskgiving.

Idk about that one, if he somehow managed to beat TCU and then went on to win the bowl game and ended up 7-6 he would've been back for another year. Probably fired mid season the following year though.

    No hedging.  Still confident.

I'll admit, this weekend's timeline was wrong.  Anticipated KU being called, effectively ending the season early, as well as the ESD timeline. Don't know how it shakes out from here, but I wouldn't put a lot of credence into $9.95 reporting.

I respect it, whether you're right or wrong you're sticking to your guns. Hopefully it plays out the way we want it to in the end.

ESPNU radio was talking about this morning.  I don't think FOX has, which is interesting. You think they'd be the first to boast they are keeping their guy, or maybe Urban probably said don't say a word either way.  Anyone know if Cowherd talk about this morning?

Not to surprising on the ESPN front. But Fox still being mum on the whole situation is interesting indeed and from what I've seen Cowherd hasn't said anything bout it.

I"ll say it again, this is the chaos period it continues until there is official word from either UT or Meyer (well he's denied jobs before then taken them).  Urban or bust until then. I believe we have at the very least agreed in principle

I choose to believe you. I'm on board until we either retain fuckface or hire Matt Campbell. Til then it's still Urban Meyer for me. It's following the tOSU timeline in a way. I haven't ventured to look but has ESPN or Fox ran with this yet?
