Being impressed with what Deion has going on in Boulder is one thing, and justified, but pinning any of it to how they did versus USC is foolhardy. That USC defense is truly pathetic. May we all find someone with the same loyalty and affection for us that Lincoln Riley has for Grinch.
I had USC in my preseason top 10 thinking they’d improved via personnel and experience. Nope. Same soft pussies. I assume they’re going to lose to 3+ quality opponents left on their schedule.
You’re an entertaining poster, like how you think you’re the smartest mother fucker in the room…..you’re not.

All I know is Deion has put together a team in less than one year that played toe to toe with Riley. I’m impressed.

What’s your move when a regular in your group develops a freeze over the ball while struggling to get their swing back and now, routinely, takes an excessively long time to pull the trigger?
I only see him immediately before our weekly round and don’t want to get in his head pre round or during it. I’m thinking I need to bring it up immediately post-round this weekend. Another regular took a video a few weeks back and sent it to him “to help evaluate his swing” but he completely missed the point and his only takeaway was that he was over swinging. Face palm.Long time Texas golf coach Harvey Penick’s, little red book address’ this very issue. Establish a simple trigger, same as swinging a baseball bat.
I am a right handed golfer. Once I address the ball and I am in proper position. I apply a slight amount of pressure on the ball of my left foot to initiate the swing. Don’t think of anything else. If you want to think go to the driving range.

This game is over by the end of the 1st quarter.

I don’t think it has as much to do with race as it does about talking shit. There is a reason coaches at all levels refrain from calling out an opponent. We all hate coach speak, but it’s safe. Deion doesn’t follow that script.
Now, as a fan I fucking love it, because deep inside we would all love to do it. But we know the consequences are getting your ass kicked and having to eat that shit.

I ve bought a couple things from Carter's. They have always been very pleasant to deal with, whether Walter or anyone else.
Their pricing since the buy out has been optimistic to put it kindly though
I did not know they changed ownership? But it does explain some of the odd nuances I felt while there.

Again, terrible scan, I’m trying to get better equipment to resolve this issue. But, great subject matter. This is the lake that formed after Mt St Helen’s popped. We hiked in and the only gear I brought was a Nikon F2 and a couple of lenses. The place has a strange vibe to it. Almost like you should only speak in hushed tones.

Ballpark, how much are we talking $$ wise?
Out the door at $4600, I can’t remember what the tax rate is. I’m going to guess at least %10.
Yeah, it’s too much, but I grew up in Texas and have never owned a custom boot. Being as I am in the sunset of my life, I pulled out the money and went all in.The response from the guy who fitted them (also a native Texan) when I told him what I wanted was “Those things are going to look sick!” But, he did warn me that there are some special care instructions for diamondback. That the skin isn’t as durable as most other species.

I went to Carter’s last week while in Nashville to get some boots. I thought I would drop in and see what they had. It was disappointing, pretty much like all of Nashville. Once again, just cuz it’s old don’t make it valuable, nor does it mean it will sound good. It’s just fucking old. This becomes very obvious when you can play 4 or 5 back to back.
What did impress me was they were really fucking accommodating about allowing you to just pull one down and play it, AND inspect it. You don’t often see that when fucking around with old Martin’s, and 50’s and 60’s Fenders and Gibson’s. Well, not without some asshole bird dogging you.
That said I am still of the opinion that If you’re looking for high quality vintage guitars just go to Norm’s. They are still the gold standard.

I don’t know shit about boots, I just know I wanted a pair of Lucchese made out of western diamondback.
This is their store in Nashville, it is close to my home. All I can say is service is pretty fucking good for not being in Texas .
As soon as I walked in the door I was handed a Shiner. Their fitting room is on the second floor, where there is also a small band area more than adequate to do recording. Couple of Martins, a D18, and a D28. Small mixing board, a few amps. There is also a pretty nice sized bar, I had another Shiner with a Garrison chaser. And on a separate table I'm guessing were 75 to 100 skins, most of which I had no idea what species they were. What I did not know was the 10 to 11 month waiting period. Which is a long period of time for an old guy. But I said fuck it, hope the wife doesn’t have to bury my ass in them. And yes I did the entire boot in diamondback. Fuck it.

I fucking can’t believe that went our way

Damn, this is boring football

I enjoyed that game. I admit, I didn’t think they could handle an away game against a ranked team, I was wrong. they played well, few penalties, didn’t get injured, and no big gaffes.
Prime’s kid is legit, as is Horn and Hunter. I have no fucking idea how good they really are, but TCU obviously misses Riley 2.0, as Briles refusing to run did not help their situation.

Officiating has been suspect this entire tournament. Not surprisingly they got the best match up with teams from both coast’s.

What sucks is regardless of anything else, we had opportunities. It’s like the basket had a fucking lid on it
