  1. Come on Tommy. Do it for the little guy (and your wife 23 years your senior)
  2. Allegedly, Avery Johnson’s brother and father came to blows postgame
  3. Dave Pasch is not at the top of his game today. A few too many guinesses on the trip probably.
  4. QPR gets 15% of Eze’s transfer fee. And boy do we need it. Down 6-0 thru 50 minutes at Coventry.
  5. Good to hear. Any pussy schools still fighting it need to be publicly shamed.
  6. He implanted that small “transmitter” on Slightly’s neck. It was pretty quick.
  7. A couple nit picks, but still liking it a lot after episode 3. Blade Runner came to my mind a few times. The corporate espionage angle with Morrow is probably the strongest element of the show so far. A bit confused/intrigued about the connection Wendy was having there at the end, seemingly with the face hugger or its embryo? And I know they were supposed to be coming off as immature, but that scene between Slightly and the other hybrid (“BRO!!”) was pretty rough. The needle drops continue to be excellent.
  8. OK, got my season pass. A couple buddies are splitting the seat next to me for the season so will usually be bringing one of them along to the tailgate. I'll see if they want to buy their passes early instead of walk-up.
  9. I’ve been to Disney plenty, but we’ve never done the themed family shirts. And boy, you see literally hundreds of families wearing them at the parks. I make sure to wear this one every trip though:
  10. Dig it so far. Plenty of familiar elements packed in, but some new territory being covered. Production quality is excellent.
  11. Closest 1-2 point margin in the preseason since 1998. Similar to Coaches poll, big point gap from 9th to 10th. 12. Very good interview with Zach Cregger on The Big Picture pod. (Second half of the vid)
  13. Offense was obviously saving the playbook for OU
  14. I liked Barbarian, but enjoyed Weapons even more. Really good stuff.
  15. Media embargo was lifted on this today. Didn’t read any of the full reviews, but I did see very good buzz about it.
  16. The photorealism they can achieve in something 100% digitally-rendered still impresses me. See this in IMAX if you have a chance. I enjoyed Way of Water on first viewing at Alamo, but seeing it at Bullock was on another level. That’s where I’ll be for this one, for sure.
  17. Hawaii HEBs must be a zoo right now. Especially the toilet paper aisle.
  18. Looked into it a bit more and from some post-event satellite images, looks like the cabins are still there. (believe Bubble inn is the one closest to the fork in the road)
  19. Was I correct in reading that the bubble inn and twins cabins are still intact, they were just totally inundated during the flooding? I think I saw a mystic mom saying that on instagram.
  20. I work at this girl’s school. Very sweet kid and family. What an ordeal to go through. And they’re some of the lucky ones…
  21. Looking forward to it. Read the book a few months ago after hearing positive buzz out of CinemaCon (and already loving The Martian book and movie). Really enjoyed the read, and also found myself wondering how they would translate much of it to film. Trailer reminded me of The Martian in its tone. I agree it would be nice if they didn’t reveal so much in a trailer, but these days they kind of have to. And understandably it really leans on Gosling. Hope he’s as good as Damon was.
  22. Freese has ice in his veins!
