Well, as I press send on that. An update from Orangebloods on Muhammad

I hate to bring potentially bad news to the table, but there's a growing sense that this might not be going UT's way.

Not because Texas is getting beat in NIL. Not because he doesn't want to come to Texas vs. another school. Certainly not because the coaches aren't putting in the work.

As I have mentioned before, getting athletes into Texas can be complicated if they are upperclassmen who haven't yet graduated and can't come in as grad students. I can't say that I have any clue about the specific issue that could be serving as potential academic road-block, but the vibe I've received today is that Muhammad's situation is complicated.

No one has done anything wrong. It's just that UT has academic requirements/policies/restrictions that other schools don't and it's probably the biggest foe the program finds itself battling when it comes to bringing in potential incoming transfers.

  2. We might win a game or two next year. Of course, I won't be able to go to any games. Truth is, things for me ain't going to good at all. I had to sell of my house, barn and the ten acres. I'm living in an RV. All I kept was a 50 foot plot, the pigs and a worm farm. If only I had the money back I sent that TV preacher that was screwin' the hockey player.

    Poor aggy.

I can't believe that some of you are talking smack to aggy. Do you have ANY IDEA how many offseason online fan polls aggy will win about best fanbase, best stadium, best helmet, etc. You can only dream of winning that kind of hardware for your program. They also have a genius new coach who can win the SEC with FCS players (or so I've been told). Sure, aggy will get vivisected at home by ND in week 1 on national tv with a former Duke QB running wild, but they will have the kind of offseason glory we can only dream about.

Even though we still don't have the same level of talent of other playoff teams, we have explosive and innovative abilities to score, unlike that 2016 team.

I know Penix is in his 6th year of college ball. In this Washington team like TCU last year, a one hit wonder that is loaded up on Covid-year guys, or do you think the Huskies will consistently be in the 12-team playoff?

  5. My prediction....if we score a TD every time we get in the red zone, we beat Washington by double digits. I will be in the Seattle area this holiday season. I saw that the Texas Exes meet at a Tex Mex place in Seattle but I need to find a rowdy sports bar. Some place with an edge. I like to live in the fast line. I'll be drunk by halftime and I'll start doing silly little backflips.

A bit off topic, but some of you who don’t have a life might remember how the first year of the e-tickets, my account was hacked and someone stole my entire season ticket allotment.

Then this year, I downloaded my ISU tickets (from ISU Ticketmaster) to my Apple Wallet, and a few hours later, someone charged Seat Geek 14 times for ~$1,300 (>$18,000) for what were probably Taylor Swift tickets.

  7. FSU has a problem. They keep making stupid decisions and blaming other people for their own decisions:

#1 The playoff system sucks. Having a committee sucks. Having 4 playoff spots and 5 power conferences sucks. Still, FSU (like all of the other schools) approved this convoluted format. Their decision.

#2 The criteria of the CFP committee sucks. There should be a rule that an undefeated Power 5 conference champ gets in over a 1-loss team. There should be, but there isn't. FSU, like all schools, approved this criteria, including the stipulation that injuries would be considered. 10 years have gone by and FSU has made no effort to change any of this criteria. Their decision.

#3 FSU approved the actions of the ACC commissioner who kept the 12-team playoff from starting this year. Their decision.

#4 FSU approved the shit sandwich ACC TV & GOR deal that is a disaster. FSU chose to sign-on to this deal and now is screaming to the high heavens in public board meetings about how this TV deal will destroy their athletics programs. Their decision.
