  1. I fully support walkouts and I fully support the there being consequences to said walkouts. Learning to stand up for what you believe in is an important lesson, but it won't be learned if there is nothing to stand up against. If every student gets a free pass to walk out by the school administration then it's not really a walkout, it's a glorified fire drill.

New neighbor is an engineer that has been working three weeks a month to restore utilities in Puerto Rico since the disaster. From what I gather the local government there is highly corrupt and damn near impossible to deal with in a logical manner. Kind of like here, but cubed.

So pretty much like 80% of the world.

We signed a ton of JUCO guys but we are still net -1 on scholarship players this year.... after only having a senior class of 8... EIGHT, last year.  We lost 5 guys on top of that (rumored to see more attrition).  We are so fucked it isn't even funny.  IF all of our freshmen make it 4 years in the program we are looking at graduating 3 that year.... THREE.

I get not firing every coach after 2 years and we owe the coaching community a favor in keeping one for at least 4 years.  But this is straight up fraud.  No way we should be looked negatively upon if we fire this guy before the season.

You hired a coach from A&M. Did you expect this to turn out differenct then every other coach who has ever coached at A&M?

Converting an injury riddled LB and pursuing JC options instills very little confidence. I may be proven incorrect, until then I’ll view the position with a jaundiced eye. Thanks for the information on Ingram, I was unaware of his stipulation.

Right, he’s a grad transfer, so that was a mistake on my part. Still, the impetus behind the interest remains the same. I believe they expected more out of the guys currently on campus and now, in retrospect, are trying to get creative.

For my part, I don’t think it’s a dumpster fire, but the RB room definetly needs to be upgraded. Hopefully Ingram comes in and lights it up, but relying on freshman is often a mixed bag. As for the 2019 and 2020 guys, my concern is for the 18’ season, as it’s a big one.

Anyway, this should probably be on the football board and is all pure speculation on my part.

You state "the RB room definitely needs to be upgraded" but the staff taking action to upgrade it via grad transfer "instills very little confidence".

    That doesn't makes sense.

  6. Just imagine being Looch. He roots for A&M. He’s never seen his team (in any big 3 sport) win or even play for a national championship. They’ve never even been close. This fact hurts him so deeply, he lashes out. Every win, even if just a turn of events in recruiting, is the biggest win, because he’s never seen a real win.

The big question is how do you want to interact with it.   By now they are all so similar that they aren’t that different.  If you use the Wemo app Nest integrates with it a Google home but not Apple home kit.  I think ecobee works with home kit.  Honestly the biggest struggle with the smart home is getting everything accessible without having 10 different apps.

if you’re a set it and forget it kind of guy then it doesn’t matter that much but I have a nest and regret it because it doesn’t work with Apple HomeKit though there is nothing wrong with the product itself.

I honestly don't mind having 10 different apps as I don't access them on a daily basis. I have Nest, Rachio, LifX, Garage, iRobot but I'm not trying to control them on a daily basis. Nest & Rachio are set & forget for me. I can control the LifX with my Google Home (Nest as well). If I do need to open my garage, or turn on the Roomba, or look at my front door, It takes 2 seconds to search for the App and open it.

    Again, it's personal preferance.

  8. Won’t there be a flooded market at some point? Meaning when bourbon started becoming a thing, didn’t all the companies build more rickhouses? I thought I read an article or two about that. So one would think that in 2020 or something, there might be a shit ton of Pappy? Or do they make the same amount to keep it Rare?
