  1. I don't think most of the portal players for Florida is a surprise. I'd read they expected 15-20 in the portal to make room for incoming transfers/recruits.

The two that are standing out in my mind is our DE Princely who most figured was going to go pro after this season and looks to be making sure he has every possibly option of he doesn't hear what he wants to hear from the NFL and our RB Etienne where there were rumblings before the season started that he was upset with splitting time with our primary RB. It doesn't look good from an PR standpoint at all if Etienne leaves especially because the schools talking to him are all contenders and he'll have a chance to shine and it'll look worse from a critics standpoint than its affect on team performance (RB position is one of the least of our concerns).

Biggest issue with UF is if some of these highly touted recruits that they are making room for bail on us in the next week.

Some are hoping FSU boycotts the Orange bowl. Smart move!

Florida is ready to fill in that role and take another another pummeling from UGA if that means we get 3 more weeks of practice and a NY6 payout.

Yeah, it's kind of like one of those good seasons Boise State put together, where they would go on the road and beat Oregon week 1 and then destroy a bunch of hapless Mountain West schools, with the occasional showdown against Utah or TCU.

I'm hoping that the expanded playoff encourages teams to schedule better.

I know even though our schedules have always been among the toughest in the country, I've still enjoyed that we've started adding more P5 OOC opponents. It sells tickets.

It's kind of splitting hairs. Not sure Iowa and Penn State are 10 win teams in other conferences. I think Ohio State probably beats FSU. No way any other team on that schedule does. It's also ridiculous that Michigan didn't schedule a single P5 opponent out of conference. At least FSU tried to make up for their shitty conference schedule.

Penn State probably wins 10 in the ACC.

I'm all for leaving both Michigan and FSU out.

Michigan for the shitty schedule, oh, and the cheating. FSU for the shitty schedule and because they lost their best player.

If I'm a 'croot, I don't want to go to the school that's going to get cheated.  i think I would change my narrative asap.

We won't know for a while how this shakes out but until this year, Norvell's recruiting has been pretty subpar. He's lived off of transfers and a weak schedule.

    2020 (Transition Class) - 21
    2021 - 21
    2022 - 19
    2023 - 16
    2024 - Currently 3

Then again, their 2nd string probably still rips 40-50 off on them given how FSU played the last 2 weeks.

FSU Defense has still played pretty well. But they're gonna get worn down if the offense can't stay out on the field.

without Travis, FSU might not beat anyone in the Top 10.

Looking at their schedule the last 4 years, they've yet to beat a top 10 team even with Travis.

The guy is an amazing super senior that's benefitted by playing a shit schedule.

The last time he faced a top 10 opponent was 3 years ago against Notre Dame and he finished with a QBR of 40.

Danny Kanell, who’s 50, sarcastically saying on Twitter since Trevor Lawrence left game with ankle injury that Jacksonville should be disqualified from playoffs

This guy is going to pout for months. Especially since we all knew they’d get destroyed

Danny's always been a piss baby.

I know this is unfathomable but maybe no SEC team played their way into the playoffs.

That's the beauty or tragedy of playoffs. Some years, you don't have 4 teams that clearly played their way in. Some years you have more with a legit claim.

I think it was a poor call. The defenders were put in a no-win position due to the late slide.

The call sucked but it was the right call from the viewpoint that the penalty is intended to err on the side of protecting from injuries so sometimes the defense is going to get screwed.

And the QB did get hurt. Which is interesting that they pushed him back out there without doing a concussion protocol. Not enough people are talking about that.

It was just shitty luck for UF.

Fuck FSU. Their bitchasses tried to blow up the ACC over the summer for money after years of doing jack and shit. I hope both teams lose the Orange Bowl.

Btw I’m already hearing from Georgia fans that they “don’t want to be there” emoji23.png

    Mutthurt indeed.

Oh, I could totally see this being like the Florida-Oklahoma game a few years ago where after missing the playoffs, we had like 7 starters sit out for the NFL and the rest of our receiving corps miss the game on COVID protocol while Oklahoma came ready to play and prove something.

Norvell is still trying to prove that he's not the same coach that lost to an FCS team 3 years ago and has been getting bailed out by Travis the last 2 seasons. It'll be interesting to see if he can convince everyone to play while UGA guys sit out.

Rodemaker sucks ass too. He and FSU's offense were putrid against a terrible Florida defense that fired their DL/co-defensive coordinator and secondary coaches four days later.

Here are Florida's season stats on defense.

    image.thumb.png.6617643738e916f1e2248edbd6f2b94b.png

UF gives up 409 ypg total offense, FSU managed only 224 yards.

UF gives up 259 ypg, Rodemaker managed only 134 yards. He was sub 50% passing at 12/25.

UF gives up 149 ypg on the ground, FSU managed only 90 yards on 31 carries. An average of 2.9 yards per carry.

FSU was only up by 2 points with 3:00 to go in the game and won by a pedestrian 24-15.

Even with Rodemaker at QB, they would get fucking annihilated by every other team in the top eight and would likely be beaten by at least the next four teams.

Let's not forget that it was a 2 point game when FSU got bailed out by the targeting call. It was the right call, but the game with UF was neck and neck the whole way and that was also with our backup QB.
