  1. That’s the perfect scenario I mentioned in a post above about this affecting people’s status for next year. Would love to see some analysis at the end of the year regarding how may people have hotel/airline status downgrades this year versus a normal year.
  2. Lol, no stereotyping and despite being a Sooner I can count. Don’t even have to take my shoes off to get past 10. 🤣 Lifetime Diamond with Hilton and 1k with United. This is going to screw up a lot of people’s status for next year though. We haven’t talked about locking down travel yet. Wouldn’t surprise me to see it coming though. I’ve already qualified for United Gold next year but would definitely drop from 1k if travel gets curtailed.
  3. I’m on my 33rd flight of the year tonight, this one from ORD home to IAH. So yep, I probably already have it. Thots and players and all that good shit. Was on the same flight Tuesday night. On the one Tuesday night there were 16 of us in business class and 35 in the rest of the plane. Total of 51 on a bird that holds a couple of hundred. Tonight’s flight is a bit more full. Business class will be full again. But right now there are only 5 people in economy plus in 39 total EP seats. Back of the bus is decently full though. So yep, I’m definitely seeing less people on the birds I’m on. Headed to Tampa next week. We’ll see what those flights look like with spring break looming. But got to enjoy great Italian Beef sandwiches with my bourbon this week so I’ve got that going for me.
  4. Absolutely should go to Burrow. Shouldn’t be close quite frankly. Hurts just couldn’t take care of the ball well enough challenge Burrow the second half of the season.
  5. There are a few of us. TxSooner518, Constant, ChiTownDoc. Few and far between though. Don’t feel the need for horns down. I can hate Texas without that juvenile BS.
  6. As pleased as I am to make the playoffs again, I’m also one of the realistic Sooners. I’ve watched a lot of Tigers games this season. Yep, our defense is better. Hell it couldn’t be worse so that’s a low bar to cross. But the Tigers and Burrow have one of if not the best offenses in college ball this year. Burrow is going to win the Heisman, rightfully so. I have a hard time coming up with a scenario where we stay within 2 scores. But as they say, that’s why they play the game.
  7. Longhorn/Poke streak buster holiday flood? A little long but has a certain something to it.
  8. Bear, I use the NOAA weather app on my iPhone. I assume they have one for those with Android as well. It’s a paid app to get the full features. Think I paid $3 or $4 for it. I travel for work about 35 weeks a year and it is fantastic. Has been on top of every bad storm I’ve been through. NOAA Radar Pro
  9. My wife’s parents lost their house in Kingwood in Harvey. Which is why they now live with us. Her dad has talked to some friends there that are flooding again. Damn.
  10. I take it you’re working from home today too Hate? I live a couple of blocks from Hate, same subdivision. Fun times here but nothing like east of here. As he’s said, we’ve gotten lucky to be just on the periphery of this whole event. If this thing had come up a few miles west of where it actually did it would have sucked. As it is, the eye, or what passes for an eye with this storm, went directly over the top of our subdivision. Everyone stay safe out there.
  11. I’m seeing OU -6.5 at various sites too. Hell, if I had to bet it today, I’d probably take Texas. Lots of variables and unknowns for both teams though. Let’s see what both teams look like come October.
  12. This. Abso-fucking-lutely this. And not a day sooner.
  13. Went down to the rodeo to see George last night. Could see the smoke from this thing right after we hit the Hardy coming off 99 coming down from The Woodlands. Got more impressive the closer we got. Figured it had to be a damn inferno. Wasn’t wrong.
  14. Same exact thing happened to me in 2012. Was 42 at the time. Ended up NOT being a TIA. Was an AVM. Actually ended up being 3 separate AVMs. 3 brain surgeries later I am perfectly fine. Have them check for this. I’m in Houston and went to the UT Mischer Institute in the Medical Center. Best neurosurgeon in the state. Dr P Roc Chen. Saved my life. PM me if you want to talk and get more details. Get this shit taken care of.
  15. ^^^^ This Was just about to post this. Lehman and several other former Sooners are blasting this having to apologize bullshit on Twitter. We want no part of this. Fuck Bowlsby and the Big 12 for making Hager apologize. Fuck that participation trophy attitude. Hager doesn’t have a damn thing to apologize for. I’m all for every UT player, coach and fan saying OU Sucks every time they get a chance. It’s a fucking rivalry. We hate each other. Quit pussifying every damn thing about this sport and this and every rivalry.
  16. Ah, another Sci Guy follower upthread. Only weather person I trust, Storm.
  17. ISU played a helluva a game Al. They play like that the rest of the season and they'll have a really strong year.
  18. If that was an OU catch, I'd want it. So I think it's an ISU catch. Helluva an effort and a helluva a call by Campbell.
  19. Think he was down but that's a season ending injury for another RB. Damn.
  20. Good camera shot right there. That's a catch.
  21. Neither one of these teams have any interest in tackling anyone today. Complete shit show.
  22. This! Damn he is one hell of a WR. Making himself some NFL money down the road today. Beast mode Al. He's going to give lots of teams fits.
  23. Welcome to the party NFT! And great job Callo, Diablo and Pearland! Keep it up! Pretty good Friday morning. College football started back in earnest last night. Went 4-1 on my wagers. And woke up this morning to a scale of 179.5. I've officially hit my goal weight. Started this at 221 on May 14. That's 41 pounds. When I started this, my 38 inch shorts were super tight, was on the verge of going up to 40s. I bought 34s last weekend and they're loose enough to conceal carry underneath IWB comfortably. My waist at my belly button (not my hips) was 44 inches. Now it's down to 35. I don't miss those 7 inches, lol. This thread has been a huge help and support system for all of us trying to get back to a healthier lifestyle. Much appreciated! I'll keep checking in here and holding myself accountable to not gaining it back. Not to mention cheering on the rest of you guys! Heading to the Astros game tonight. Have an awesome Labor Day weekend all. Don't cheat too bad. But if you do, get right back on when the weekend ends and you'll be back on track!
  24. Took NMSU +5.5 and under 46.5. So it should definitely go the other way, lol.
  25. Hmmm, was 183.9 Monday morning before I left for Vegas Monday morning. Came in at 183.4 this morning. Only lost half a pound in Vegas this week even with eating extremely keto and IF and walking/exercising all week. Interesting. We'll see what the next few days bring. May be at the point where exercising is starting to build back more muscle and will actually make it tougher to lose pounds. Did lose another inch off my waist this week so that's positive movement. Long term goal is still 180. Might take me a couple of more weeks to get there...
