It just doesn’t add up to me. I personally think that inflation would be just as bad, if not worse if we had Trump in office instead of Biden. The problems we are experiencing today were an inevitable reaction or hang over if you will of the pandemic and all of the shut downs.

The other side of the coin is what solutions are republicans proposing? How would they make it better?  Do we live in a country where 80-90% of people vote based off emotion and not logic or thinking things through?

The Biden admin did contribute to inflation with the American Rescue Plan Act, but yes much of it was beyond their control. However, they have been woefully bad in regard to energy policy, and it’s definitely fair to blame them for the astronomical rise in gas prices.

How does roe being struck down change the political landscape in the upcoming senate races?

The GOP is gaining in the suburbs and exurbs nearly everywhere, and I don't think Roe being struck down will flip many back. These voters are more concerned about gas prices, inflation, and crime. The Dems' only hope is to increase voter turnout in urban areas, but I think they'll fail to do so. That being said, Fetterman should win PA, and I think Kelly has a good chance at beating (likely) Masters. Cortez Masto is polling favorably against Laxalt (which is kind of surprising). Budd vs. Beasley in NC should be close, but I think Budd will end up winning. Herschel Walker seems to unfortunately have an edge on Warnock. Ron Johnson vs. (likely) Mandela Barnes will be very close, and I think the same is true of Vance vs. Tim Ryan in Ohio. Bolduc vs. Hassan in NH should be very close as well, but I'd give the edge to Hassan. Bennet vs. O'Dea would be very close in CO, but Bennet vs. Ron Hanks would likely give Bennet more breathing room. Every other race should be an easy win for the incumbent.

Despite the very bad environment for the Dems, current polling indicates they won't suffer a net loss of seats. It's still likely that gas prices will continue to climb for a while, and inflation will likewise at least hold steady. Biden is a wet rag who doesn't inspire hope in Dem candidates, so the polls will likely slowly shift red in the coming months. Fortunately, many of the GOP Senate candidates are pretty weak orators who also don't inspire much confidence, so the gains might just be limited to the House for them.

Honestly, Democrats need me to get Dwayne Johnson to run. Fuck it, that's where we're heading anyway in our reality show, celebrity obsessed culture. Might as well beat the Republicans to the punch before we get President Honey Boo Boo.

Yes, or even someone like Kim Kardashian (I know, I know). She's smarter than people give her credit for, and Kris Jenner is a cold-blooded Machiavellian matriarch. I think she'll be Governor of California if she desires that position, and from then on just see how she could grow. If the Dems piss all over themselves in '24 and then '28 (very likely unfortunately), just let Kris go to work and get Kim elected.

Yes, this phenomenon isn't limited to politics. Those who try to deny this are just trying to negate something intrinsic to humanity. You are making your climb steeper when you have the less interesting/charismatic candidate.

Biden is such two ply. I hate our choices are moderate pussy and fascist that ends democracy.

Well there was a candidate with moxie, but Jim Clyburn was never going to endorse him even if said candidate asked for it. Also, the DNC would've been too timid to overcome any and all "socialist" labels thrown at him, so it might not have mattered anyway. Any time you elect a candidate without charisma, you're tying one hand behind your back. It was dumbfounding to read people backing uninteresting suits from John Delaney to Bloomberg to Biden during the primaries, but unfortunately relationships prevailed so we got the ordinarily gregarious geezer. If any one of Biden, Kamala, or Pete gets the nod for '24 then I'll force myself to disengage until they realize how crucial charisma and aesthetic appeal are for the masses' approval.

Speaking of Catholics. The whole Alt-Right Rad TradCath thing has gotten pretty fucking psycho.

Those fuckers are attempting to infiltrate the RCC and wage war against the Pope, Vatican II and the Jesuits. Then take out the Jews when the opportunity shows itself. It's really weird because a lot of them are new converts and clearly are lacking in knowledge of Catholicism while being adamant in their criticisms of the Catholic church.

Is this separate from Vermeule's integralist bloc? I wouldn't be surprised if Dasha from Red Scare is part of this because she seems to be doing it for mainly aesthetic value.

You think Pete would be doing worse than Joe Biden right now? Some of you are smoking crack. Joe sucks because he's old man joe. Anyone that grew up with the fucking internet would do better than Joe. I'm convinced his fucking press secretary would be a better president (both of them).

It's actually incredible how inept Joe Biden is.

I don’t know if he’d be doing worse, but very few people bought into his McKinsey Obama-lite rhetoric. Even if he were more authentic, it’s an unfortunate reality that a gay person cannot win a presidential election in our time.

We desperately need a multi party system.

It's been obvious for a while as you insinuate, but unfortunately we both know it'll never happen. The DNC was extraordinarily stupid to stiff arm Bernie twice for a few reasons (the primary one being they angered young liberals/leftists into prolonged apathy). Also, I can't believe anyone thinks Mayor Pete is/was a quality candidate.

Isn't Lula poised to win in a few months? He seemed to do an excellent job in his first tenure.

But an investigation by CNN offers new evidence — including two videos of the scene of the shooting — that there was no active combat, nor any Palestinian militants, near Abu Akleh in the moments leading up to her death. Videos obtained by CNN, corroborated by testimony from eight eyewitnesses, an audio forensic analyst and an explosive weapons expert, suggest that Abu Akleh was shot dead in a targeted attack by Israeli forces.

Most, if not all, of the journalists and photographers killed there are purposefully sniped. Sometimes commanding officers order them, and other times, individual snipers do it just because they know they won't be punished for doing so. Israel should not be an American ally, but we'll never have leadership with the courage and intellect to act justly so it's wishful thinking.

What does gender or naziismnaziism have to do with not wanting to be approached by someone that may be unpredictable, with little to lose, while you're in a relatively vulnerable state?

No, don't you get it? Living in a city in the US means you should just accept mass homelessness or you're soft. Let's not even try to improve our communities and provide basic necessities for everyone because that costs money. Also, some of them are mentally ill and addicted to drugs, so it's their fault and we shouldn't even try to help these communities.

This country is full of sick, nihilistic individuals.

I think he's said he's a dad, and I believe him. He's simply distrustful of the entire political apparatus, so he seeks alternate sources in an effort to better understand the world and where he fits in it. You must reject the idea that an objective truth exists in politics and then focus instead on the more likely source of enlightenment (which exists within and must be sought after intensely). The primary goal we should have in the current political environment is to avoid nourishing and/or electing a fascist. I am afraid we will fail and then some of us will suffer while the rest of us helplessly flail about.

Pretty sure there was an article by a White suburban mom who stated that White boys are being groomed via YouTube and other channels to be told they are being replaced, everyone hates them, etc. If I remember correctly, she found this because it was influencing her young son and she stopped it before he believed more or something like that.

That article needs to go viral again

I suspect part of the backlash against "grooming" in public schools is because of parental fears like you laid out here. Parents know they have the least control of their kids' minds of any parental generation to ever walk the Earth, and they're fearful of what could happen. Every loving parent has been fearful of what might happen to their children, but this is noticeably different. Marshall McLuhan was a prophet.

Those on 4chan and like-minded forums believe they're part of an esoteric elite who are privy to the inner-workings of the government, but they're really just alienated souls fearful of a rapidly changing world. Immaculate Vibes is either one of them or follows a bunch of them on twitter, and workswithseed would be one of them if he didn't have a room temperature IQ.

I read the first page of that Texans thread. If you were to introduce that as an exhibit in the case of “why the earth would be better off without any humans on it,” you would have made a very strong case. Holy fuck, they are genuine goddamn psychopaths.
Oh, and this shit will happen again, and again, and again. Because it is exactly who we are.

Lol @ "BAP Enthusiast". BAP was likely a Yale polisci grad student who wrote Bronze Age Mindset to troll the growing idiotic far right populists in the US. Of course some racist yokel on texags fell for it

Tucker's writers are likely active on 4chan. There are already House members who believe in Great Replacement, and if JD Vance wins in November then he'll likely be the first Senator to buy into it. Very cool and normal country we live in

I don’t hate the poor. I hate that a fuckload of people do not contribute shit to this country, yet have the gall to throw stones at those who worked their way to the top about what they “owe”.   Just once I’d like to  see one of these billionaires look into the camera and tell them how they’ve given more money in one tax year than 500 generations of that family.

How do you determine what one does or does not contribute to the United States?

  21. Why do you think she typed out a false statement meant to extend an olive branch to Trump? Perhaps I’m not as familiar with her views as I think I am, but I’ve never gotten the impression that she’s being coerced by bad actors like the Red Scare girls, for instance.
